Beautifully furnished and equipped and spotlessly clean. The proper kitchen has very nice, plentiful crockery and pans, the power shower in the bathroom is spectacularly good, the velvet sofas feel luxurious and the 6ft bed is comfortable. Even the hair dryer is quality. The cottage is very private and the enclosed garden is a lovely space with sunny spots all day long and the sound of birdsong. A slight downside was the road noise and a coffee machine would be a bonus.

We had a wonderful stay at Sarah’s place. The apartment was perfect for us and fully kitted out. It was clean and we felt right at home. Due to the weather we didn’t do any local walks which would have been lovely and worth doing if visiting. Would definitely recommend staying here

Christina’s Barn was the perfect British countryside stay. Our flights from the USA meant that we arrived at 9am and Christina was kind enough to arrange an early check in. We were welcomed with tea and cake which was gratefully received after a long journey. The barn is very comfortable, well appointed, clean, warm and has everything you could need and more. Much nicer than the photo’s. Lots of things to do locally, train to London is easy. You do need a car. Great host, great place to stay.

Such a lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. The hosts were very helpful from the outset, we were able to check in earlier than expected which meant we could drop our luggage off and head out for the day. The cottage was home from.home with all necessities at hand. The garden is lovely and great for our dog to enjoy playing and to have a good run. Our dog caused a bit of damage in the cottage, which was totally out of character and I was mortified. Obviously we made our host aware and was more than willing to put things right. They were so understanding and appreciated us letting them know but had no problem with it and said they will sort it. They are such lovely hosts, even gave us a bottle of prosecco box of biscuits to welcome us. Situated in the middle of the countryside there are plenty of walks. We would love to return here again & totally recommend the cottage for a quiet getaway in the countryside. Be sure to visit Scotney Castle, only 15 minute drive & beautiful.
