Vacation rentals with lake access in Marquette

This is a repeat stay for us and we just love coming back to Cole and Emily’s place. If you are looking for a serene and peaceful escape on the water with beautiful views - this is it. Tranquil, lovely place to recharge and relax. Well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, quiet surroundings, good WiFi, clean home, nice setup for indoor and outdoor fireplace set up. Nice location with proximity to activities and restaurants. We will be back! Thanks for another wonderful long weekend!

We spent a long weekend here over the Thanksgiving holiday. The property is exactly as pictured and we had plenty of space for our group of 8. Beautiful views and the home was outfitted with everything we needed. Would highly recommend this rental and looking forward to coming back to enjoy during warmer weather.

We loved the location and enjoyed sightseeing with day trips to Iron Mountain, Marquette, Pictured Rocks and relaxing days fishing and jumping off the docks. The beach down the road at the state park was also great. The cottage was perfect for our family of 4 plus Grandparents. We made a lot of great memories and would definitely come back.

Daniel’s place was easily one of the best places we have stayed. It was beautifully decorated and we felt so at home! There was so many extra things provided for snow shoeing and a foosball table. There was an instruction manual available and very clear instructions. We really enjoyed the arctic entry way (from Alaska lol) so that’s what they are called, but catches snow and boots etc before entering the home. Everything we needed was provided included extra large towels and the pillows and beds/blankets were all so comfortable! It meets every need and want in a home away from home! Most airbnbs don’t meet every need like this one.

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful cottage! Everything was just as mentioned and Pam even went above and beyond to give us some information about local things in the area. Having access to Lake Superior was a plus! We will be back to stay for our annual sister trip! Thank you again for such an amazing stay!

Great place to stay I wish we had more time. The view is beautiful! The home had plenty of space to share with a good group of friends or family. They are super communicative and clear with directions!

The unit was big and clean and was nice to relax in. The cafe below has great food and is quite entertaining, and the people are all so friendly. It is the perfect home base for UP adventures!

Great place to stay for a winter getaway. My wife has allergies, so great to stay in a place so clean it is not an issue.

I have stayed here before back in 2022 and really enjoyed it. The size was nice and everyone was easy to work with. For the cost, this is comparable to a hotel with much less room. I will definitely stay here again. Thanks...

Stayed here with my family and friends for the Marquette 50 marathon, and we couldn’t be happier with our visit. We were all very comfortable, and the location was conveniently located downtown. There were no smells coming from the dispensary below, and it was relatively quiet for a downtown location. We slept with the bedroom windows open. There is a powerful AC unit in the living room quarters, which cooled down the common areas very well. There is 1 shared bathroom, and the entire house is extremely spacious. We loved the layout. Overall we would definitely stay here again!

Of all the Airbnb places we've stayed, this has got to be our favorite. The surroundings are breathtaking, the apartment above the garage is very well appointed with plenty of towels, blankets, glassware, etc. We had lots of snow during our weekend and the snow plow cleared the long driveway 2-3 times. Our hosts were very friendly and responsive. We had our family of four and there was plenty of room for all of us. We really enjoyed the sauna. We'll be back for sure. thank you for a great weekend.

We rented this apartment for family who were visiting the area. They absolutely loved it! It far surpassed expectations. Everything looked new, clean, & super spacious. It was the perfect size for my mom, brother, sister and her husband to comfortably share. My mom thoroughly enjoyed the massive main suite, with a reading nook and her own bathroom. There was a tv in both bedrooms, which was great. The staff was super friendly and helpful. William was very responsive. When we had a question about ‘live tv’ and watching some football games, he sent someone up right away to log the family on to YouTubeTV. Being able to gather and watch our favorite teams play live was a bonus, as some places only provide limited streaming. The family also enjoyed cooking a ‘home cooked’ meal in the huge, fully stocked kitchen. We all fit comfortably around the large, beautiful dining table, which was also a perfect place for game nights. Thank you for helping our family make wonderful memories!

We had a great time at the rental. The hosts were more than accommodating for our family and the rental had everything we needed for our baby, high chair and toys galore! It made the trip easy and fun for everyone.

It was a magical weekend away with my sisters. You couldn’t see/appreciate the water from the cottage, but just a few steps away across the street was the most beautiful and fairly vacant/private beach! Wonderful morning meditations, walks, picnics, and sunsets on Lake Superior! Munising (with some short walks to view a beautiful waterfall and some of pictured rocks) is just a short drive away, and Marquette too, is a cool city to explore in the opposite direction. The cottage was clean, neat and cozy and had everything we needed. The owners were responsive and kind. Thank you for hosting a great weekend!

We had an amazing time at Tracy’s place. We didn’t want to leave! The view was incredible, neighbors nearby but still had privacy, and close to downtown L’Anse if we needed anything. The fireplace and sauna added so much to our already relaxing stay. The layout and decor of the cabin was cute and perfect for the two of us. Tracy was great at communicating and checking to see if we needed anything without being overbearing. We definitely want to come for another stay at Rock Beach! Thank you so much, Tracy!

Our stay was rejuvenating. Walking almost a deserted sandy beach each day was very peaceful...we met only 2 dogs and 1 person! The water was refreshing, but warm enough ha!, that we were able to swim in Lake Michigan at the beginning of October! The sunrises were gorgeous accompanied by the sound of the waves. The cottage was interesting to find, but directions were spot on. Accomodations had everything we needed.

Enjoyed a spectacular 4 day weekend with 3 generations at this beautiful property and would come back. For those who had concerns about the “stairs,” they are more like terraces and most can be avoided with a short detour. We enjoyed 2 fishing piers, kayaks, aluminum boat and the paddle boat. Highly recommended.

As listed, could not have been any better. Everything you need for a weekend away from home is in place, everything in the home is in pristine condition. The proprietors are both helpful and friendly, respecting your privacy as guests. Would gladly book this listing for a return visit or recommend to a friend.

The communication to the host was above & beyond great, very responsive to any questions we had, extremely detailed directions, suggestions of places to go, etc. The home was super clean and comfortable, it was very peaceful. Even in the midst of a winter storm we felt the driveway/private road, and county roads were all well plowed/maintained. Would not hesitate to recommend this home to any of our family or friends looking for a place to stay.

We had a great time staying overnight at the UP Sunrise Cottages. The host, Angie, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive, even when we had late-night, last-minute questions about checking in. The house was on a beautiful lakeside group of properties, and it was fully stocked with amenities, clear instructions, and super clean, comfy spaces.

First of all , can’t say enough about how great Pat and Wendy are! They went above and beyond what I would ever expect from hosts and made sure my girlfriend and I had an awesome trip. Great people and a great spot! The Funky Beach House itself was awesome and the location was even cooler than I expected.
