It is one hour away from Marquette, also one hour away from Picture Rocks, plus some other areas of interest in the upper peninsula. It was a magical weekend away with my sisters. You couldn’t see/appreciate the water from the cottage, but just a few steps away across the street was the most beautiful and fairly vacant/private beach! Wonderful morning meditations, walks, picnics, and sunsets on Lake Superior! Munising (with some short walks to view a beautiful waterfall and some of pictured rocks) is just a short drive away, and Marquette too, is a cool city to explore in the opposite direction. The cottage was clean, neat and cozy and had everything we needed. The owners were responsive and kind. Thank you for hosting a great weekend!

Beautiful, private location centrally located to the Pictured Rocks trails we wanted to hike and convenient to heading into Munising as well. Plenty of space for our group of 8-9! The fire pit in the yard was terrific for a nighttime gathering around fire. We appreciated the outdoor gas grill and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook breakfasts and dinners.

I was looking for the place that would feel like home away from home where my entire family (fur babies included) and I could unwind, relax, and enjoy time together the weekend of my first marathon. This place was perfect. Kayaking was so much fun, the spacious kitchen made dinner times and breakfasts so special, and my doggo loooooved swimming, running around and going on walks. Even my cat felt right at home! It really felt like home. The amenities were also a great plus. It was my mom’s first time in an Airbnb, and she was so impressed with absolutely everything. Thank you Charlie and Shelly!! Everything was perfect. ☺️❤️

Kelly’s place was very nice and in a great neighborhood! The check in was super easy and all of her instructions were clear and didn’t leave anything out! The house was very cosy and spacious, with plenty of sleeping space as well as living room space to stretch out in! The driveway is very long and accommodating for any vehicle and Kelly also provides access to the garage, should you need to use it! It was a very nice place to stay and well worth the price! We will definitely look to stay there again!

Cottage on a Lake. Near Pictured Rocks/ Munising

This is a charming place right on the lake. Great location for kids (shallow and gradual water depth in the lake). It can be difficult to find, so map it out ahead of time. Get gas at the nearest town before attempting to find it. The outside furniture is dated and could use an upgrade. The all weather outdoor cushions should probably be put away and brought out per use (so they stay nice). A propane fireplace on the deck would be a step up. Overall, I was happy with my stay. I hope to bring my family here again. There are other neighbors and houses next door to this place. I was unaware of this when booking. It wasn't an issue. but if you are expecting complete solitude-keep in mind that you will have neighbors. There is only one bathroom and the shower head pressure is weak. We love our showers, so we were a little bit dissapointed with that. Great location and a wonderful array of water toys (SUP boards, kayaks, peddle boat, and skif).

My best friend and I loved our stay here for a weekend to celebrate our birthdays! The cabin is so cute and cozy! We loved the decor and the wood stove to keep us warm. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves. Beautiful location in the forest! The only problem was other guests in the shared bathroom locked us out of using the sauna, but Jamie worked to communicate with them so no fault to her.
