Monthly Rentals in Madison

I had a wonderful stay. Susan was a wonderful host and was very responsive to messages. The apartment was very clean and nicely decorated which felt very welcoming. The property is beautiful and peaceful. The street is not busy and was very quiet. You do need a car to get to downtown Social Circle which was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Important for travelers to note: only one parking spot is available for guests at the Airbnb so plan accordingly.

This spot was so beautiful. If you like farm animals and camping then you will like this cabin. Very rustic and peaceful. Carolyn was nice enough to give me a tour of the property and the animals. She provides snacks for you to feed them if you want to. You can even go in the gates and see the animals up close. There were alpacas, lamas, dogs, goats, lamb, chicken, donkey, and horses. I would compare this stay similar to camping in a tent in the woods…as there is no running water, no AC, limited cell phone service, and no WiFi. There are electrical outlets if you need to charge your phone and she did provide a heater. If you do not like camping in a tent then this cabin may not be for you. There was an outhouse and outdoor shower available. Overall, I would say this experience is waaaay better than camping with a tent because you get to stay in a wonderful handmade wooden cabin on a 50 acre property, my favorite part was seeing the animals. I would book this place again.

Donna’s place was perfect for the two of us! Everything was better than described…from the quiet, peaceful setting to the well appointed rooms and the comfortable king size bed! We were disappointed we were only staying one night! We loved the early check in at 3:00 and the 11:00 am checkout! The location was convenient to dining in Athens, Watkinsville and Monroe. We also enjoyed meeting Ted, Donna’s husband…he made us feel at home. Hopefully, we can return soon and enjoy the peace that the Nest offers!

Such a cute cottage and an easy walk to the square. We were very comfortable at the cozy Lotus cottage! Being greeted with dog treats and a delicious pastry from the wonderful bakery on the square, Patisserie, was much appreciated. We enjoyed our weekend strolling around looking at the beautiful historic homes, shopping, and eating and drinking at the variety of restaurants and coffee shops Madison has to offer.
