A beautiful and spacious house to enjoy your holiday in Madeira. From the private pool & BBQ terrace there are breathtaking ocean views over the bay of Funchal. The Botanical Gardens are 10 mins walk away and there is a bus stop 30 seconds away, taking 5mins to the centre. 3 mins walk away there is a restaurant, Sesamo bakery & mini supermarkets. The Aerobus stop is also a few minutes walk away. A fantastic view from the terrace to watch the world famous Madeira New Years Eve firework display.

Welcome to Paradise! Come stay at our cozy Villa with a splendid Atlantic ocean view by the infinity pool! This house was first built in 1932 and since then it has been know as "Casa do Vinho Velho", "The Old Wine House". My great-grand mother used to tell stories about the old man "Vinho Velho" and his passion for his wine and agriculture. The house has been updated but we have kept old features, like an old brick oven in the kitchen and 3 stone rocks for vine hanging in the living room!

Fantastic apartment! Very spacious with all the amenities you need for a home away from home. Great location close to a shopping mall with a big supermarket. Lots of excellent restaurants within a 5 minute walk. Easy to get into Funchal on the regular local buses for only 2 Euros, a stop right outside the apartment. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean and well maintained. Great sea views from the apartment and lovely to fall asleep to sound of the waves on the rocks. Very relaxing stay and would highly recommend this place and hope to stay again sometime in the future

Very well located accommodation, which offers an underground parking space. Very clear explanations of the location of the apartment as well as the parking. Proposal of what to do in Madeira from Andreia with suggestions of places that are really nice. Small downside, the cleaning, especially the floor and shower. Otherwise the rest was perfect and the apartment is exactly as described in the listing.

Ronaldo greeted us when we arrived, they were very responsive and even sent local recommendations like restaurants and activities. The apartment was ideal, it was spotless, the scenery was amazing and it was even bigger than the pictures. The amenities within the apartment were great, everything we needed was there. A laundry room with detergent and cleaning supplies was available in the apartment, kitchen tools were available for us to use and so much more. The location was great, only about 5-10 minutes from Funchal’s centre and in close proximity to hikes which we loved. Overall we felt very safe and we enjoyed every minute of our stay.

Beautiful home with all the amenities that you need for a nice relaxing stay. The house is in an area where there are not a lot of shops nearby so be prepared with a car. The home is comfortable and well decorated. The views are amazing! Madeira is a beautiful treasure!

Fantastic time at Dina’s place. Stunning views in the sunshine and the rain. Easy to cook for ourselves there or to take a short walk into the town. Used the pool most days - cold but lovely! Beds very comfortable. Plenty of hot water for showers. Dina gave lots of helpful tips on parking but we still found it very difficult. But once inside it’s very safe and private. Blown away by the place! The terrace is just such a beautiful place to relax with very comfortable furniture to add to the experience.

Excellent stay with our family at the house. Bill was very responsive to requests - for example, the crib and high chair were not at the house when we arrived and the caretaker of the house didn't respond to my message. I sent a message to Bill and within 30 minutes he had taken care of the situation. We loved having the pool, though it was heated, it was understandably still a little chilly in early February. One thing to know about this location is that it is significantly cooler and more humid than Funchal. The sun doesn't rise above the hills (in February at least) to heat the patio until around 10 AM. Until that time a thick sweater is advisable. The house does have heaters and can be quickly heated. We wished there was more cookware to cook for our large group (it was sufficient, but could be improved) and let Bill know after our stay and he said he would have remedied it during our stay if we had let him know. Great host, lovely house! Also lovely location to drive to the West.

We loved our stay at Helena's place. The place is peaceful, secure and beautiful. It suited our stay very well. Helena was very helpful with booking and recommending activities. Some lovely touches in the property including wine on arrival which we were very grateful for. Helena was flexible with our checkout time which suited our flight departure nicely. The bakery and Supermarket were excellent and great value - 2 coffees, 2 crossaints and loaf of fresh bread was only €5.50! Be advised better value on transport is got from the Bolt app. Getting Bolts from & to the airport and back from town/ activities is recommended. We loved Madeira and will be back.

The house was amazing. The beds were very comfortable. The indoor pool was great when it was a cooler day. We were there in December/January. The games room was brilliant. The only negative comment- there was a lack of hot water in the showers. If you took a really quick shower maybe 3/4 mins it was hot then went cold. But that really didn’t detract from the house as a whole. Madeira is a wonderful island. The hikes we took were beyond beautiful. We had some great meals. The Christmas lights were so beautiful and the fireworks on New Years Eve were absolutely stunning! Worth going at this time of year for the above.

Apartment was fantastic for a weeks stay, beautiful views and easy access to the pool facilities, as well as a short walk into Funchal. We also hired a car and the parking outside was super convenient and easy to pay through an app when it wasn’t free (20:00-08:00 most days) Similar to some other reviews the bed was slightly uncomfortable but that was a minor blemish with every other aspect being great! Thanks for the great stay!

Our stay here was fantastic. The house was great - spotless interior and lots of attention to details on both the inside and outside. It was a perfect location on the island for us as we could venture out and explore every day and come back to peaceful views and some happy animals to see us. The island is a place that we would love to return to - and if you are considering this place our family would highly recommend it. Sonia and her husband have done a great job with this property, they are very welcoming and great hosts. Thank you both for a great week.
