Western disinfected room with bath & toilet.
Much of the motivation to come to Kyoto came from Yoko's place.Yangzi took care of me like family. The room is very cozy and tidy. Breakfast is carefully prepared every day.Yoko also discussed Japanese culture with me and recommended good places to eat and have fun locally. When I arrived, Yangzi had been waiting at the door, and had been concerned about whether I had eaten, it was touching! Before I left, she taught me how to make Matcha and bought me a lot of photo paper. I'm very grateful to her. I would recommend her place to everyone!

The owner is very kind. We came after the event, and you were very accommodating even though the check-in time had changed considerably. This time, I came after the bathing facility, but if you want to use the bath, you can leave the hot water in the bathtub by contacting us in advance. The facility itself is a little old, but it was beautifully renovated, and there was no Japanese-style room or uncomfortable at all. The heater was turned on, so I didn't mind the cold, and the futon was prepared with two futons for the cold. We were very satisfied with the homey breakfast. This time, I visited late at night and left early in the morning, so I just stayed to sleep, but I wanted to stay a little more slowly if I had the opportunity. Thank you so much!

Sister Jiale is really super nice!Very comfortable living! The overall experience is perfect.💯 Come and stay! And they prepared breakfast for us, we had two different styles of breakfast for two days, hehe, both were delicious! Finally, I don't have to solve it at the convenience store. And she also recommended restaurants to us, they were all delicious.😋 We asked about renting a kimono, and she contacted them for us!Mommy, I'm so happy ~ I'm also very happy to chat with Sister Jiale. I🥳 hope to see you again next time!!May the wind and water be smooth and the god of wealth be with you!I wish all travelers a happy day in Kyoto💗

Thatched Cottage Mitoya Rural Kyoto
Our thanks to these great hosts who were very accommodating from the first inquiry all the way to checkouut. A very friendly family who truly welcome you to their village and home. The thatched cottage was as advertised and the experience of staying out in the countryside was perfect. Not a complaint, but just stating the house is an old house with low hanging beams, which an average height persob bumped their head 5 times in 3 nights 😉. But again fully recommend Yoshiko-san's Mitoya cottage, a nice peaceful stay.

Larry's place was beyond my expectation! It was beautiful and quiet, and felt traditional but also like home rather than hotel rooms or those Airbnbs that feel like they are just for Airbnb. The room downstairs is huge, and the whole house is very clean and nice. Larry is extremely nice as well! He picked my up from the closest metro station exit, and showed me everything I needed to know. He also gave me local sightseeing recommendations with his hand drawn maps. There's a dog and a little cute cat that he recently rescued, and they didn't bother me at all. Kyoto is not a big city so his location is not too remote. There's a uphill road towards the house though, and the main streets are also going uphill if you are coming from west to the east. So be prepared for some exercise, whether or not you choose to ride a bike or just walking. Larry also provided a bike, which was a good bike, beautiful with a convenient lock, automatic lights, and shifting gears.

Keiko's beautiful house is located on a quiet and charming mountain. The house is very traditional Japanese style, and you can experience the rich local atmosphere here.Keiko keeps the garden very beautiful and natural. The most praiseworthy thing is Keiko's daily breakfast, which is never the same and always carefully prepared. It's really delicious! The lunch and dinner were more abundant than the ones I had outside.Ms. Keiko is kind and friendly, and she will pick up and drop off guests every day. We had a lot of fun talking in the car, and I learned a lot of Japanese.I have fallen deeply in love with Kyoto this time. The wonderful memories of learning to make octopus balls under Keiko's guidance in the morning will always be in my mind. I will stay in Keiko's house again next time!

Feel Real Japan. brand-new, modern
Easily the best AirBnB experience we’ve had. Yoko’s place is a perfect place to stay in Kyoto, but it’s much more than just a place to rest your head. Yoko is helpful beyond words and goes out of her way to assist and make you feel at home. I can’t praise her or her house enough.
House w/ garden up to 7 people 6 mins walk from JR
Very friendly owner! 😊 The house is a bit small for group of 7, but it is cosy. They have very nice garden, old school way of blocking cold wind. Interesting experience! Not convenient if no car though. If you want to enjoy peaceful and local Japanese house, this will be a good choice.

[Dormitory] Dormitory/Shared room.
This guest house is will be the best choice. The host tommy is very kind and mindful. He speaks english very well, so someone who didn't speak japanese will be satified. Also, the domitory bed was very nice. It's cozy and comfotable. And Tommy will give you breakfast If you request. The toast was tasty. I recommend this guest house, you will not regret your choice. Thank you tommy!

It's a beautiful place, except it's a little far, but you can feel the real Kyoto people's accommodation is better than staying in a city hotel

Kizuna: Relaxing Stay in 150 yr old Farmhouse
It was my first time traveling abroad for a month with my dog, and the process before leaving wasn't smooth, so I was worried a lot about whether my dog and I could get around well. Even so, Yukie & Kevin took care of a lot of things, so I really enjoyed the whole trip.😊 I am so grateful that I have so many memories that I would not have had if I had booked the accommodation as a general mansion or hotel! Thank you so much for picking me up by car throughout the trip to the airport and the station and bringing me a delicious meal every day. Everyone in the village was kind and kind, so I enjoyed the countryside of Japan with my dog. It was better because I preferred a quiet and relaxing trip with nature rather than crowded and bustling sightseeing.☺️ We are also looking forward to a new kids' house, so be sure to invite us when the house is repaired.💓 Both of you take good care of your health. We wish you all the best until the day we meet again.🙇♀️🙇♀️ Cosmo-chan and Hina-chan are also healthy and well!!

An authentic Japanese house (Home-stay)Room#WABI
Staying here was the best part of my trip. Chieri is an amazing host and I had a great time getting to know some of the locals in the area.

Tsukiya-Mikazuki-old western style double room
I planned a trip to Kyoto with a classic B&B vibe in mind and while there was no opportunity to eat all together, Tsukiya was perfect! Location was exactly where we wanted to be in the city, with easy access to public transit and even walkable areas. The breakfasts every morning were thoughtfully crafted starting about 2 hours beforehand. The space was authentic - highly recommend to anyone going to Kyoto!

10 minutes to Kiyomizu temple | 1 min Yasaka shrine | Nagasaku temple inn # 402
Amazing location, right in the middle of Gion, close to all the main sites and Gion train station. Lovely traditional room, spacious and clean, with tatami floors and futons. The host is very friendly and helpful with advice on what to do, and he cooks a fantastic Japanese breakfast. Loved our stay

Scenic Mountain Home
Staying at John’s place in Shiga was an unforgettable experience! John is an incredibly passionate and energetic host, always full of enthusiasm. He and his lovely wife, Rika, made me feel right at home. They even invited me to join their family for a delicious homemade dinner, and Rika kindly provided breakfast as well. Their son, Andre, was also very friendly, and I truly enjoyed our conversations. The house itself is a charming countryside cottage surrounded by beautiful nature, making it a perfect getaway. If you’re visiting Shiga, staying with John is an absolute must! Highly recommended!

Takumi was an excellent host. All of our needs were taken care of seamlessly. He was proactive and very helpful. Paying for the dinner is a must! The food was delicious and traditional. The location was beautiful, and if you’re looking for something off the beaten path, staying here is a good choice. Our host was very welcoming and communicated excellently. We look forward to booking with Takumi again! 11/10 would recommend.
