Just wanted to say that Erika's place [hay barn we stayed in] was brilliant, couldn't have asked for more from our weekend break walking in the area. The hay barn was spotless with everything you needed and could have wanted. Erika was brilliant and knew about the local area, especially for walking on the the local fells. One of our best air BnB stays, just great! Highly recommended!

What a lovely stay in the countryside! The hosts Julie and Paul were incredibly welcoming and communicative before and during our stay. The place was very clean and pretty and, the patio was such a great place to relax after a day out in the Lakes. The kitchen facilities made it easy to cook our own meals in the evening too.

We spent a magical 3 days at the Old Smithy on Kay & Dave’s farm. The house was clean, cozy and very comfortable. We did a beautiful walk straight out the back of the farm and Kay was very helpful providing lots of instructions and ideas for things to do. We have four children between 5-12 and they all loved experiencing life on a real working farm. Dave was a gentle guide as we witnessed life and loss during lambing season and very patient with our kids many questions. We will most certainly be back - as our first experience in the Pennines - we could not have asked for a better place to stay! Thank you Kay and Dave and your lovely family for such a wonderful time!
