Vacation rentals in Kirkland

I have been a few times now, me and my dog always enjoy our stay! Lovely cottage in good location!

The pictures - gorgeous as they are - don't do this property justice. The setting is private, tranquil, and everything one could hope for an escape to the Yorkshire countryside. Philippa and Andrew were welcoming and very responsive, and even treated us to a lovely and appreciated baked surprise upon our arrival! The location was convenient for our forays to the Dales, the Moors, and the city of York where we got to enjoy a wonderful Christmas Market. For Bronte fans, the Bronte Parsonage is not far, nor was the town of Grassington where the current "All Creatures Great and Small" series is filmed (the fictitious town of Darrowby). York is about a 40-45 minute drive. The farm next door sells fresh free range eggs, the ton pub is about a 10-15 minute walk from the house. Everything in the house was modern and clean, and the large dining table meant we could entertain guests. I literally cannot think of any way it could have been better. Best of hosts and best of houses!

One word to describe our stay would be amazing! The lodge is unbelievable, perfect location and so clean. The lodge provides everything that is needed, the hot tub was lovely and sitting on the porch overlooking the lake was just the icing on the cake! Michelle offers a fantastic home away from home and we can’t wait to visit again!

We had such a wonderful time at Lammisa’s Airbnb as part of our annual Christmas trip. The property truly matched the description, was super clean, and felt extremely homely which is exactly what we were after. We were greeted with some lovely treats (which went down very well), and took the opportunity to explore places across the Lake District. There’s not much around the property locally in terms of shops and restaurants, but there’s so much to do if you’re willing to do some short drives (nice walking trails, Keswick, etc). If that’s not your thing, this place is just as good for days in - and we definitely made use of the hot tub. I’d say this was great for groups of friends/families. Thanks Lammisa for being so accommodating!

We enjoyed our peaceful stay at Jenny’s caravan. It is very spacious and homely, clean and tidy and we liked the location being quiet for an escape from the chaos of life and work.

Thank you for the stay - we had a lovely time. Only thing to mention is the heating was a bit tricky (wouldn’t come on at all the second day). Otherwise, stay was lovely and the caravan was spotless and came with everything we needed. No WiFi (as far as I know) and limited phone signal but this is what we were looking for so no issues.

We booked for a short escape from the pre-Christmas giddiness. A lovely place! Lucy's instructions were clear and precise and the welcome pack was sumptuous! The cottage was spotless and perfectly appointed. Plenty of equipment and so comfortable and cosy, especially in the evening. It was very peaceful, just what we were looking for. Ideally situated for a quick walk into the centre of Kendal and also for a longer ramble along Scout Scar - terrific views! This was an absolutely delightful cottage, and gave us some much-needed peace and quiet ahead of a busy Christmas.
