Family-friendly vacation rentals in Kiawah Island

Loved the location and this place met all of our needs and expectations! Was very well stocked with toiletries, toilet paper, soap, coffee, etc which seems to be uncommon at places we've stayed before. This was our first stay at Kiawah and we will be back!

I enjoyed my 5 day stay. It was clean and had everything I needed. The walk to beach and pool area was an easy walk not too far. I do think the mattress could use an update and be more comfortable. But overall, it was great place.

Tricia was extremely responsive and easy to work with! This condo was in the perfect location! Right across the street from the renowned Ion neighborhood with phenomenal food. 10 minutes to downtown Charleston and 10 minutes to Sullivans island beach’s! The condo was so well equipped with linens, towels, toilet paper, soap, and anything else you may need thing your stay! We will definitely be visiting again! Thank you Tricia!

Our three-night stay at this Airbnb was excellent. The neighborhood was quiet and safe, the house was spacious and clean, and the host had put a lot of thought into the decor. The house was even more beautiful than in the photos, and the kitchen was fully prepared with everything we needed. Our whole family loved the house — it was one of the highlights of our trip to Charleston.

Great location. Short walk to the beach. The backyard pool and spa were a major hit with the kids and adults. Great kitchen with all the utensils you could possibly need to create meals for a large group. This is an outstanding rental and very reasonably priced for the amenities and close location to the beach. Cannot wait to return.

Michael’s place was absolutely perfect for our group!! We really enjoyed having the loft with a bunch of extra beds so we didn’t have to bring any air mattresses. It’s about a 7-10 minute easy walk to the beach. Had everything we needed for cooking. Hot tub was a nice addition! We did have a little trouble with keeping it warm but that was probably more user error on our end than anything and we didn’t try trouble shooting. Absolutely recommend this place for a larger group and would definitely stay here again!

If you’re looking for a unique place to stay, that’s well situated between the beach and downtown, this is a great option. Anything this place lacks in square footage, it makes up for in character, charm and overall vibe. October mornings with the outdoor shower are not for the faint of heart, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. My wife loved the decor, outdoor lighting, plants in the shower, windows looking out to green-spaces. The bed is super comfy and cozy. Kokomo is awesome, we want to check out Roatan.

We had so much fun in this home! Loved the big kitchen, dining, and living area to gather together. There was even another living space upstairs and plenty of bedrooms. Everything was clean and kitchen well equipped for meals in. Easy walk to the beach!

We enjoyed this Airbnb a lot! Lovely views back and front and the beach is maybe 3 minutes walk (look for the public access sign to the left, about three houses down). Great shower! Lovely kitchen! Comfy sofas! If we ever come back to folly beach, we would love to stay again. For the mobility challenged, it is only 12 steps to front door, unlike a lot of neighboring houses, which are on stilts and have 25+ steps. 😁

We absolutely loved Maryellen’s home! The pier, restaurants and shopping are walking distance. More amenities than what’s listed. The home is pristine and just like the photos. It felt like we were the first ones to ever stay there! We had gorgeous weather so we spent most of our time outside, but the home is the kind of place where you wish for a rainy day, to be forced to enjoy and relax at home. Would most certainly stay again :)

We loved our stay here! The beds and sheets are really comfortable. Lots of towels, including beach towels! Katherine also has beach chairs, boogie boards, and some play stuff for the beach. The kitchen and bathrooms are nice, and the rooms are spacious! The house is on a really cute street, but there are some questionable areas around when you get off the street. We didn’t have any issues though! Pretty close to the airport and about 20-30 minutes from everything we wanted to do!

This is a great home and actually had more space and storage than we needed for our 4 night stay. Perfect for a Summerville stay and we loved our visit. Very close to Charleston, the beaches, drivable to Columbia and other end of SC as well. Great host, attentive and responsive. Ve

There were 5 of us for a Bachelorette Party and this home was everything we needed! Great location, 20 minutes from Downtown Charleston, and it had everything we needed. Comfy living space, plenty of room, comfy beds, and plenty of extra linen. It was easy to find in a nice, quiet neighborhood.

Perfect location! Exactly as described! Our blind dog was happy with his space! The wine and coffee was so nice. Can't wait to go back. We loved riding bikes everywhere! Just needed a basket to hold all my items!

This home is absolutely as nice as the pictures. And the owner is super responsive should you have a question. The icing on the cake is a game room that has tons of stuff to keep the kids busy. And the screened in porch, huge back deck and yard face a nice stream and there is another deck right on the stream to enjoy the wildlife. We would rent this home again in a minute!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. One of our favorite things was sitting on the porch. It is an older home with quaint charm in a quiet neighborhood. There are several places to eat within walking distance and the location made it quite easy to Uber to downtown when we didn’t want to drive ourselves. Easy check in/ out.

Lots of great places to walk near Airbnb. One of my highlights was renting an e-bike and riding around Sullivan Island and walking around Folly Pier.

Adorable place with lots of space for four on a girls’ trip. Easy walking distance to everything we wanted to do including restaurants, shops, historical homes, museums, etc. Felt safe. Host was responsive and flexible about check-out. Would definitely stay here again!

West and East coast cousins get together for a beautiful stay on Kiawah Island. Three generations and we all loved the home and location. It was spacious enough that all ten of us felt comfortable. There were five adults and five children (infant through age 12). We cooked several meals during our stay and the kitchen was definitely designed for people who love to cook. We rented beach items and bikes through ESPM and enjoyed riding bikes to the beach (about a 10 minute ride) and on the many bike trails on the island. This was a lovely, spacious home. The screened in porch was a great place to sit, chat and enjoy the privacy of the back yard. The area was gorgeous, the house lovely and we would definitely reserve again.

We loved our stay at Jacquelynn's! We had to travel with our two older, yet anxious, dogs for a wedding and it turned out to be the perfect place for us. The loft is detached from the home, making it much more private to go to and from. The place was spotless with cute decor. Even though it is a smaller space, she has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Lots of towels and blankets as well as silverware, coffee pot, and mugs. I was pleasantly surprised at how the bathroom was actually quite spacious for the small space. The most important and best part for us was the peace and quiet. We typically have to worry about outside noise as our dogs will bark at any and every noise they hear. But the loft is nestled in such a quiet and quaint neighborhood, making it perfect for anyone with anxiety ridden dogs. I highly recommend Jacquelynn's loft!

Amy’s place is centrally located and very lovely. We booked it prior to knowledge about construction but she was upfront with us about this (and it is now included in the listing information), and did offer us a discount as result, which was much appreciated. We appreciated the ease of contacting her. Parking was a little challenging in the neighborhood and heating in the house was a bit uneven with the weather being unseasonably cold on our last day but we managed just fine and enjoyed our stay in this lovely home.

Stayed here long term with my family (wife, 2 kids, newborn, and 2 cats) and this home was exactly what we needed for the 3 months we were in Beaufort. Short drive to almost everything and although right off the highway, the neighborhood is quiet and good for frequent walks/scooter rides with the children. Shelby is extremely responsive and constantly looking to improve the already great home. Perfect for families or those looking for long term AirBnB’s. Thanks Shelby!

Gerald was an excellent host. His place is well situated and in a very walkable area, close to all the attractions that Charleston has to offer.
