Family-friendly vacation rentals in Kiawah Island

Our stay was only a short weekend for a wedding. We did not get to enjoy the pool or beach. No issues with stay except the back half of the villa was much warmer than the front half. The bunk room with 3 adult children had 3 tower fans and they said the night was okay. Father In law was happy being warmer since he’s always cold. Overall it was a great location close to rehearsal dinner and wedding venue.

Our stay was great and as expected! It's a cheap option to stay on Hilton Head right by the beach with the option to use the pool as well.

With us and children’s families we had plenty of room and things to do right on the property for 6 adults and 5 grandchildren from 2 to 10 years old! We had a blast: plenty of beds, bathrooms, big kitchen and den, indoor swimming pool, game room, hot tub, fire pit, short street for bikes, garage. On raining periods or at night the house was great for eating, play and family time! We got the golf cart and biked minutes from Folly Field beach and also to Island beach which were great beaches. Biking on the beaches and the innumerable wonderful trails throughout Hilton Head is amazing for those who take advantage of it. Besides the beach adventures we also took advantage of the horseback riding at Lawton Stables and the Pirates of Hilton Head kids pirate ship adventure at Harbor Town which was something the kids and adults will not forget. We ate most of the time in our great kitchen but some did get to enjoy two fabulous seafood restaurants. Hilton Head is a beautiful island!

This is an older building but the unit was clean and matched the photos. We were very happy with our stay. The hosts provided a beach wagon along with chairs which was very convenient. The beach is a 1/2 mile walk along a scenic boardwalk & very easy. There is a little beach bar at the end serving drinks that you can take to the beach. The building rents bikes at the property for $35 which is very convenient. We didn’t use the pool but it was clean & would have been sufficient. Parking was easy, the elevators worked fine & the property was easily accessible by car. The hosts were responsive & friendly.

We were in town celebrating my brother’s wedding, and Joseph’s home was the perfect place to unwind and spend time with family. The pool area was beautiful! He was extremely responsive and the home was very comfortable and well equipped.

I lived in Charleston for five years and staying here was the best “welcome home”. From the moment we booked, Brianna was helpful, communicative, and pleasant. Check-in was easy and the place was gorgeous and exactly as described. We even said that “this was the first time that an Airbnb felt like home” and we meant it. Ample entertainment (dvd, Roku tvs, speaker), stunning view, perfect location, and SO many beach chairs, umbrellas, floats, kids games, buckets etc. We hope to visit again and bring our whole family! Modern fixtures and appliances that were easy to use. If I ever need an Airbnb in Charleston again, I will definitely be staying here if it’s available. My only drawback was that it was really warm in the home when we arrived but it cooled down by the time we returned from dinner. Other than that, no complaints! I definitely recommend staying here.

Great hospitality and communication from Shannon. This is the third condo we’ve stayed in at HHI Tennis & Beach Resort, and Shannon was by far the best host we’ve had! She made sure we had no issues upon arrival and even left some toys for our children. The condo was clean and stocked with everything we needed or forgot to bring for our stay. Would stay again!

We had a wonderful stay in this little cottage. Everything was absolutely perfect! Don’t be surprised if you have many Augustans renting from you in the near future! We highly recommend this hidden gem.

Great spot for runners and spectators of the Kiawah Marathon. We loved the space and it fit our family of 8 plus a baby perfectly. They provided lots of baby necessities, lots of cooking supplies (we even had access to spices which we weren’t expecting), and lots of kitchen appliances and equipment. The reservations people were very responsive and accommodating.

Our stay was perfect! The condo was exactly as pictured, very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. Bed was cozy and there were more than enough towels and linens. The incredible views from every room and easy access to the beach was such a treat. The Wild Dunes neighborhood is gated and has a wonderful family/ community/safe feel. It truly was a wonderful stay! Thank you to the owner for all the care and attention to detail put into this home making it so comfortable!

The cleanest, most beautiful condo we’ve rented in four visits to Kiawah Island. The place was very clean and had everything we needed to relax and cook meals. Super close to the beach and bike and walking trails. We would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our time on Seabrook Island. We felt right at home, the house was beautifully decorated, all updated and very clean! It was perfect for our girls getaway! So much to see and do, we can't wait to come back!

Very nice house and neighborhood. Place was very clean and it was so nice to have everything you would need in the kitchen, such as salt and pepper, tin foil, some trash bags, and cooking utensils. Was even nice to have some beach chairs in the shed. The pool and backyard was amazing. We went the last week of March and unfortunately it was a little chillier week, so did not get to swim too much. It was a close walk to the beach, about an 8-10 minute walk. We did rent a golf cart but don’t think it was really needed. Would definitely stay here again!!

Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a beach getaway! The location is perfect - it was so easy to access the beach, the pool and restaurants. The host was very helpful in providing instructions and recommendations ahead of time and was always easy to contact. We very much enjoyed spending time on the balcony with the beautiful view as well as all of the other amenities. We would love to return to stay here in the future!

Loved our 10 day stay in this beautiful, peaceful place! The lagoon provided endless bird and gator watching. Deer strolled through the yard. First time to Kiawah Island. Loved all the bike paths available. As a side note, there is a nice grocery store 15 min away, but other than that, most shops and restaurants are 45 min away, closer to Charleston.

The unit was as described and we had an excellent stay. Charlotte's communication was unbelievably thorough and quick. Highly recommend!

The home was very easy to find. Right on the water. Beautiful ocean views from practically every window. Peaceful, serene setting. Private access to a white sandy beach just steps away. The home was spotless, match the pictures perfectly, and had everything we need to make our stay comfortable. Everything worked like it was supposed to and there were no unpleasant surprises. The kitchen and amenities were fantastic. Bedding and towels were lovely. And the standout feature was the large, gorgeous deck Looking right out onto the sound. The other residents were friendly enough and we enjoyed walking on the beach several times a day. Please note that it is not a curated beach and has a lot of sharp seashells both on the beach and in the shallows underwater. I recommend some type of beach or surf shoe. But the spot could not have been more beautiful or peaceful.

We loved our stay here so much we didn’t want to leave. It was the perfect location for us. Steps to the beach, a bike rack right out front to store bikes for the week, playground and nest market were right around the corner. Not so far into Kiawah that it takes forever to get off the island, but was still beautiful and peaceful. The kitchen airbnb had everything we needed and more. Bed was super comfortable. Can’t say enough good about it. We loved our stay and are already trying to plan our trip back.

We had the best vacation! We loved the size of the condo for our family of 6. The view is so good even though you have to cross a small one way road(watch out people drive fast). Saw dolphins everyday. We didn't have to get in the car once. This is our new favorite beach!

We enjoyed our trip here. Everything was as described. The weather wasn't ideal but we made the best of it. The beach here is different than any beach I've ever been to. The tides go out really far. We were able to watch the dolphins with a few doing some jumps on occasion. The wild life really is amazing. We used the park pass for Hunting Island multiple times. Hunting Island was great. The ocean there has better waves for boogie boarding. Stephen was very good at communicating and an excellent host.

Exactly what you want when looking for an Airbnb stay: the description was spot on, the home was clean, well appointed and adorable, the hostess was thoughtful and helpful. Charlotte sent instructions well in advance and thought of everything. (Special ice maker? Yes! Coffee machine type in advance so we could prep? You bet!) We had a wonderful stay and would happily do it again.

This was our second time staying at the Sea Urchin! We had such an amazing time! The pool and fenced in backyard is perfect for our family. We walked to the beach and to dinner! Everything was awesome! We’ll be back!
