Monthly Rentals in James Island

We loved staying at John’s place. We rented a car but only used it once to go to Patriot’s Point. Every other day we walked into downtown Charleston. Everything is so close. Highly recommend Darling Oyster Bar for brunch on Sunday. The Bloody Mary was the best I’ve had. We enjoyed Hank’s Seafood Restaurant. A friend told us to go there instead of Hyman’s. Glad we did. Also a fun extra was the Black Fedora Comedy theater where the audience are participants! Don’t pass up the Philly Chesesteaks at south Street Cheesesteaks just a block away on Spring. So good! We never found the climate control in the unit. Maybe it’s controlled by the adjacent unit? There is an awkward 2 inch step just out of the kitchen. He has placed a mat there that says Don’t Trip, but I tripped on it in the dark a few times. If you need an accessible unit or if you have a bad memory like me, might not be the place for you. But otherwise this was an exceptional place, conveniently located. John was a great host!

Jerri is an amazing host. She is very hospitable and went above and beyond. The unit is stocked with supplies, newly remodeled with great features that made our extended stay a wonderful experience. The location is downtown, two blocks from King St shopping area and restaurants. There is lovely coffee shop on the street and the yard is a great extension. We loved our time here and know you will, too!

Enjoyed our stay in this older home that’s located in a bit of rough area but as long as you’re smart and don’t get into trouble anyone should be fine. You can easily follow Meeting St or King St down to any location you’d like. Getting an Uber was easy and had no troubles at all. Inside the home was clean and cozy with very friendly chickens in the backyard. We stayed upstairs because the A/C seemed to work a bit better up there but the whole house was a cool area to come back to after a long hot day adventuring. Easily felt at home while staying here and enjoyed every second of our vacation. Thank you so much and will be looking back here again if we decide to come back to Charleston SC.

I would highly recommend this Airbnb!! The place is adorable and in the perfect location downtown. It also has the cutest patio where I spent most of my time. Marcella is so helpful and stocked the place with anything you could possibly need! I could speak her praises for hours she is just the best. I honestly didn’t wanna leave here, it was a perfect stay!
