House vacation rentals in James Island

The Surf Shack was a fantastic place for us, we were 4 adults and one toddler. The house was fully equipped and the pool was fantastic. If I ever find my way back to Folly Beach, hopefully we'll be able to stay again. Thank you.

This property has tons of space both inside and out. Very homey and welcoming. Frank is super responsive (even on a holiday!) and helpful. The location feels very up and coming, with the main stores and restaurants just a short walk away. Easy parking right outside the door. The spa was fun for fall nights. We would definitely stay here again.

We had the BEST time! Our family all agreed it was the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. Close to everything! Felt like a home away from home! We asked for one pack and play and they went above and beyond making sure we were all comfortable. House was very clean and the hosts did a great job with communication and I hope we can stay again soon!

Loved the place, it had all the comforts of home and extremely clean. The linens were super soft and the bed was very comfy. The bathroom was stocked plus the k-cups and snacks were appreciated and a very nice touch. We highly recommend this property and will take advantage of it again when visiting family in Charleston

This is place is excellent. Lots of room. Comfortable furniture. Great sound with the main TV. Pool is really nice and comfortable to hang at. Best kitchen of any Airbnb I’ve stayed at. All the utensils and pans worked well. Karen and crew made it super easy for us to check in real late and were very helpful when our flight was involuntarily changed while we were there. Also, location, location, location. We went all over, downtown and North Charleston, Folly Beach, John Island. Everything was 15-20 minutes away from the house. We had such an excellent stay.

We had the best time at this house! It was a beautiful setting and great location. Jayne was extremely helpful when it came to recommendations and navigating Kiawah Island. Her house is fully stocked and very comfortable. We chose to heat the pool which was worth it. Some of the days were very miles in temp so we were happy to have a heated pool. The pool was awesome! Very big and my kids loved it. We hope to come back to Kiawah and would definitely stay at this house again!

The home was beautifully maintained and just as the photos showed. We enjoyed our time in Charleston and definitely will keep this property in mind for our next trip. Steven was responsive whenever I had anything to ask.

We had an amazing stay at Bo and MaryMar’s home! It’s so cozy and quaint, with every detail perfectly thought out. The place was furnished with everything we needed, making it feel like a home away from home. We especially loved having our morning coffee by the pool—it was so peaceful and relaxing. The neighborhood is really sweet too, perfect for nice walks and just soaking in the quiet atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

My girlfriends and I enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing long weekend on Kiawah Island. The house was lovely and spacious for a group of 6. We enjoyed morning coffee and dinners on the screened in porch. The natural setting was beautiful with a short walk to the beach and the walking/biking paths. The rental credit for the beach gear was an added bonus!

The house was clean and worked well for our group of 10. It has the best stocked kitchen I’ve seen at an Airbnb. Cooked Thanksgiving dinner there and had everything needed. Great location. Definitely recommend.

My family was in IOP for a wedding and stayed at Doug's place. It had plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us and was very comfortable. The home itself was very clean. We enjoyed coffee every morning in the screened in porch and even had a few chances to walk to the beach. Doug was very responsive and accommodating. We would love to stay at Doug's home again.

The place was clean, organized and very well stocked for our stay. The location was private, accessible and within minutes of anything you need. Great place!

Ginger was a fantastic host and her house served us perfectly while we stayed awaiting the closing of our new home. We really lucked out and she was accommodating with our changing schedule due to closing delays. Really couldn't recommend this property or Ginger as a host any more!

The house and locations was fantastic. Alec was very responsive to any concerns we had during our stay. Although the house was exceptional and I would recommend the pool / hotub needs to be operational and functional at all times. In addition the SonoS sound sytem throughout the house needs a significant upgrade. Outside of that it was a wonderful house.

We had a fantastic weekend in Seabrook and really enjoyed Beth’s comfortable, clean home. The sunroom was my favorite space; so cozy and bright! Beth was an incredible host - so responsive, flexible and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful time, we will be back!

Lisa’s place was perfect for our group of 6. The most important things I can note: It was so nice for each couple to have their own bathroom. The beds were super comfortable. The location is amazing- you are right in the mix of King Street’s shops and restaurants. Yes, there is street noise but Lisa provided earplugs, sound machines and multiple fans. This did the trick of drowning out the outside noise. Would definitely stay here again!

The home was beautiful and furnished very well. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and appliances. Bed was very comfortable. The home was very clean. We appreciate that we were able to bring our dog and the front yard was very open and kept up. It was nice that the home had a garage under the house to secure our car as well. It was very quiet all around us the whole week. Would be happy to stay here again.

Great and quiet location! This house was the perfect size for our stay and a short drive to everywhere we wanted to go! Communication was smooth and very easy.

I felt like we were in the middle of Animal Kingdom. We loved watching all of the wildlife right from the porch. Great recreation space under the house with an additional shower. Main living area and kitchen are very open.

Amy's place was perfect! Check in was easy, Amy was great to communicate with, and the place looked exactly like the photos. It was beautiful and felt like a new home. It was the perfect place to stay during our family visit to Charleston. Amy's place is walking distance to everything (restaurants, shopping, sight seeing) and it was so nice to have private parking for our three cars. Thanks, Amy - we will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful Folly Beach home! The house was stunning, impeccably maintained, and featured a gourmet kitchen and spacious dining table perfect for our group. Matt, our host, was incredibly responsive and made our experience even better. The location is fantastic, and we’d highly recommend renting a golf cart for easy exploring. It was our first time in South Carolina, and we would love to come back someday :D

Excellent location in a quiet, serene neighborhood. It was the perfect size for our group (4 adults and 2 kids). Beds are comfortable and rooms were clean. House could use a little updating, but it is very functional. Nice backyard, though we didn’t get to use is it because it was too hot outside. Adam was a communicative host, and I appreciated how quickly he answered our questions. I highly recommend Vintage Coffee and The Flying Biscuit nearby!
