Vacation rentals with a patio in Hilo

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb. It was a little tricky, getting the lockbox open and at first glance of the outside, we were a bit unsure. However, once we got inside, the unit was spotless and just as it was pictured. Had everything we needed forour two night stay. We were able to walk right to downtown Hilo to restaurants and shops. Hilo itself is a little rundown, but we did feel safe and everybody in town was very friendly. The private entry and all of the tropical greenery surrounding the lanai made for a private stay.Thank you!

this was my second stay, and it was even better than the first! the fresh bananas were wonderful, we loved sitting outside in the evenings, and the bedding was very comfy! I would stay here again!

We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful home by the ocean! From the moment we arrived, our hosts welcomed us with warm hospitality, sharing fascinating stories about the area and making us feel completely at home. As a thoughtful touch, we were greeted with delicious local treats: Hawaiian chocolate from a nearby farm and a delightful pumpkin bun. The house itself was perfect – cozy, clean, and situated in a breathtaking location. Falling asleep to the soothing sound of the waves and waking up to the songs of birds was truly magical. The starry sky at night was like nothing we’ve ever seen, adding an extra layer of charm to our evenings. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience, and their kindness and friendliness made our trip even more special. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our weekend. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a serene and unforgettable getaway!

We enjoyed our stay at the condo. It's in a nice building at a great location, close to restaurants, shops and the beach. The condo is spacious and comfy with two full bathrooms and a fully stocked kitchen, which worked great for our family. We'll stay here again on our next trip to Hilo.

I want to leave 10 stars if I can. This place is really clean!!!! No dust and no insects at all in the center of tropical!! Lanai is so nice to do morning yoga with natural sound. Also kitchen ware are nearly new and very very tidy. Great running route toward nice park searched in the strava. We will def. come back!

Perfect location for exploring Hawaii Volcanoes NP! Lovely property with delicious fruit trees, no noise from neighbors. We stayed at 3 places during our trip and this was the best one.

Even we have to drive quite a bit to Hilo but I really love Pahoa and Kalapana. It was so special and charming to us. Thanks David and Jacob for their warm and care. The studio is nice, clean, fit to us and the price is reasonable. I will be back again Love Andrew and Hong

Just as it's listed...GORGEOUS! Super spacious and clean. Love the open floor plan and amenities. The only downside was that I didn't get to stay longer! I will definitely return and stay at this property. Mahalo Nui Loa, and love from Maui!

The Hilo Bay room and adjoining property was a wonderful experience! Everything was super clean and the hosts thought to include anything you could ever need. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was clean and soft. The bathroom was clean and spacious with good water pressure. We loved how quiet and peaceful the property was and it was only a 10 minute drive from Hilo. Great place and would stay again!

There were 8 people (5 adults, 3 kids) on our trip and this rental was very spacious and comfortable to fit all of us. The house was very clean and modern and Jozsef was kind to fill the propane for the grill and provide 2 new pillows for the pull out sofa. The area was perfect because of all the privacy and quietness. Be cautious when barbecuing, the smoke detectors would go off periodically. He was very thoughtful to give us extra time to check out if we needed as well. The house came stocked with pretty much everything you would ever need for the bath and kitchen along with extra sheets and comforters. We would definitely stay here again on our next family trip. Highly recommend!

The house is tucked back in a quiet neighborhood. All you can hear at night are the various frogs. The rosters start early on the morning, but you can't help that! The house was very clean with clear instructions on how to get there. Code on the door to get in, so check in is super simple. Harlan is very responsive, so I'm confident we would have had help right away if we needed. Lots of little touches made us feel at home. There were even Christmas lights and a tree when we got there =)

I have never had a place we stayed where it was so hard to leave. This place was amazing for our family. The pool was worth gold for us with the fun lights that could be changed and waterfall too. The house was very clean and comfortable and kitchen had everything you could ever need for cooking a meal with beautiful lanai with BBQ too! Kimberly was very communicative and responsive with local and other island recommendations. Absolutely wonderful place that I would highly recommend!

Very good location between the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park and Hilo. Grocery store and a few restaurants 8 minutes away. Very private and relaxing. I would stay here again.

I had a pleasant stay at this Airbnb. For the price, it was a solid option, offering everything we needed for a short stay. The space was clean and functional, making it ideal for those just looking for a place to sleep. However, a couple of improvements could elevate the experience. A smart TV would be a great addition, allowing for a more complete and modern stay. Additionally, some extra furniture in the living room would make the space feel more comfortable, especially if you plan to spend more time inside. The balcony table was nice, but it would be better to have more seating in the main living area. Another downside was the laundry situation—it's a bit inconvenient to have to walk downstairs to use the community laundry facilities. If the unit had its own laundry setup, it would be much more convenient. Overall, great value for the price, and I would recommend it for those who mainly need a place to rest at night.

Our stay here was absolutely wonderful. Beautiful unit, kept up very well! New AC in the bedroom with the king bed which was wonderful! The second bedroom does stay very warm even with many fans available in the unit but we still enjoyed ourselves immensely. The host was a great communicator and very nice. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

We spent 3 days at Shae's place visiting the local sites including Volcano National Park. Had a great stay. Well equipped kitchen, coffee maker, beach towels, snorkel gear and comfortable bed. Everything we needed!

I had such a wonderful stay at this cozy studio in Hilo! The location is perfect—close to everything, including my favorite spot, Teapresso. The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing trip. The hosts were amazing—friendly, responsive, and truly went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hilo!

A fun and clean place to stay in Hilo. Krista and Ala have made this a comfortable place and it is centrally located to local activities. The frogs and bird sounds did not bother us and were relaxing, in spite of past reviews. Neighbors kept to themselves but seemed friendly. I would definitely stay again

It was just like pictures. Love the balcony by the pond. Very clean and nice kitchen for a studio. Only thing I wasn’t crazy about was the bathroom light. It’s super bright like hospital.

Beautiful property with the koi ponds. The room is amazing! Loved the hammock on the lanai. Loved the location, it was near a lot of the places we planned to go to and didn’t realize how close it was. Would definitely go again.
