Vacation rentals with a patio in Hilo

Robynne's place is just amazing! We love staying on this side of the island and we were so happy to have found this place. It has everything you could possibly need and more. They included some welcoming fruit, flowers and some other little goodies. The bed and pillows are super comfortable, making it feel like a home away from home. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do on the island and the lanai was amazing. Being able to see the ocean when you walk onto the lanai is perfect. We arrived late from our delayed flight and they stayed up to assure we got into the unit okay. Very welcoming and went above and beyond! Amazing aloha spirit! We will definitely stay again and recommend to anyone staying near this area.

Jenny’s place is in a great location. She was very responsive and took great care of us. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are ever in Hilo! We needed an iron and ironing board and Jenny ordered and had one delivered right away. She is wonderful!

Very peaceful studio with great kitchen, which we used every morning. Third floor, but easy access with awesome patio over looking pool area. Park in the back lot. Hilo is quite area, can hear birds and sounds of the rain forest. Enjoyed our stay :)

Amazing stay at the banana cabana! The area was peaceful and a good center point around Hilo and volcanoes national park. The space is well designed, clean, had AC and washer/dryer. Included beach chairs, grill, and a beautiful veranda to enjoy your coffee. The yard has fruit trees, geckos, and lots of coqui frogs and we were able to enjoy some strawberry guavas as well! Honestly one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. Also has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, comfortable linens, updated shower. The only consideration is to bring white noise or ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise, the coqui frogs can be very loud at night.

Even we have to drive quite a bit to Hilo but I really love Pahoa and Kalapana. It was so special and charming to us. Thanks David and Jacob for their warm and care. The studio is nice, clean, fit to us and the price is reasonable. I will be back again Love Andrew and Hong

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Makuu Palms. The setting was beautiful, private (although you might have neighbors in the other side of the house), and convenient for our needs. The place was perhaps the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in, and given the tropical conditions (including critters) that’s really saying something. It’s an easy walk to the ocean and although there is no beach the ocean spot is really special - we loved it. Michelle and her husband were kind, helpful, and respectful. We visit this area at least once a year, and Michelle’s place will be at the top of our lodging list. Looking forward to our next stay.

Amazing location and great hosts! Had a great time at Kathy's place - perfect spot to explore the east side of the island. It's close to downtown Hilo, and both Volcano National park and Mauna Kea are a little over 30 minutes away. Would definitely consider again. One word of caution, sensitive sleepers should bring earplugs - the house is in a residential area with plenty of wild chickens. They can get loud in the morning.

Jade's house on beach is new and fresh. Beach street is amazing and a short walk to the puna trail. Pics totally accurate. Have stayed at oceanfront while on Hilo, and was surprised by the serenity and lack of ocean commotion. Bed was extremely comfortable. Pool was spotless and with the lounge chairs, every day is a pool vaca! Jade is very accommodating and available. Highly recommend! Mike sf

The Hilo Bay room and adjoining property was a wonderful experience! Everything was super clean and the hosts thought to include anything you could ever need. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding was clean and soft. The bathroom was clean and spacious with good water pressure. We loved how quiet and peaceful the property was and it was only a 10 minute drive from Hilo. Great place and would stay again!

My family loved this stay! The called it “the jungle house” because all the jungle sounds surrounding you at night made you feel like you were in the middle of a rainforest. Beautiful home. Well stocked. The screened porch with extra seating was our favorite spot for games and conversation. The host was awesome with many local recommendations and extra details. Hope to stay again!

House is just like described on pictures, everything is new. We really enjoyed it. We got in the house without any issues with the key in the lock box . There is no AC but we didn’t really need it. It rained every night. It was nice and cool for us. We came in January. Neighborhood is nice and peaceful. We did hear dogs barking at night few houses down other than that it’s a quiet neighborhood.

it's a lovely place. peaceful home and you can do star gazing right outside the house. 10 - 15 min drive away from food and gas. overall the stay was satisfying.

My friends and I had the best stay here! Incredibly peaceful and private setting which had us feeling rested taken care of. Instructions were clear and place was filled with character. The hosts put a ton of effort into making the experience the best it could be!

I have never had a place we stayed where it was so hard to leave. This place was amazing for our family. The pool was worth gold for us with the fun lights that could be changed and waterfall too. The house was very clean and comfortable and kitchen had everything you could ever need for cooking a meal with beautiful lanai with BBQ too! Kimberly was very communicative and responsive with local and other island recommendations. Absolutely wonderful place that I would highly recommend!

There was a little hiccup during my check in, but the host was quick to respond and remedied the situation. Overall I loved the place and the location is perfect. Felt comfortable and safe throughout my stay. Definitely would stay here again.

We loved the ponds and ducks around the Airbnb. The park close by was filled with ducks and had a few nene. Each night we would listen to the myna birds on the lanai after dinner. I am a light sleeper, but the coqui frogs did NOT bother me (ear plugs are available though if needed). There was plenty of parking. We will definitely stay again!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this clean and comfortable condo. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking and the view from the lanai was so pretty. We both thought the bed was really comfortable and slept well throughout our stay. We also greatly appreciated that laundry quarters and detergent were provided! Check-in was a breeze and communication was great. We would stay again!

Excellent home base for exploring Hilo and the east side of the island! The space is clean and has just enough amenities to do the job. We were initially concerned about lack of A/C but there's legitimately no need, just use the fans and leave the lanai doors open. Two tips: hand-washed laundry (and beach towels) will be slow to dry on the lanai, but if you hang stuff in the bathroom and run the extra fan, things will dry promptly. Also the coqui frogs were not really an issue -- it was the mynahs that violated the noise ordinances. They roost in the bamboo right outside the studio and are loud enough to wake you at random hours, even if the lanai doors are closed. They get riled up periodically and make a ton of noise. Earplugs recommended!

Great host and location in the heart of Hilo. Easy access to the Volcano, Farmers Market, and Rainbow Falls.

Nice private lanai area with table for eating, and comfortable hammock. They have a small cooler and some beach supplies which was very handy. Lots of kitchen supplies if you plan to do some cooking. It was quiet when we stayed. Convient drive to old downtown, banyan park and to the Saddle road. Joe and Cindy were quick to respond to any questions I had.

Good location, and was as advertised. Would rent again.
