Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Hertfordshire

I recently had the pleasure of hosting a staycation at Ashmi’s delightful home in Royston, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest of welcomes and a beautifully presented basket of goodies. It was filled with delectable local treats, indulgent chocolates, and even a bottle of milk to have a cuppa at the start of our stay. Accompanying this was a thoughtfully compiled book of recommendations, brimming with insider tips on the best local spots to explore—from quaint tearooms to scenic country walks. The house itself was absolutely immaculate, with a spotless kitchen that was a joy to use, and spacious, beautifully designed living areas where we could all relax and unwind. Every nook of the home exuded charm and comfort, ensuring that everyone felt right at home. The highlight for us all was undoubtedly the jacuzzi, a luxurious retreat that provided hours of relaxation and laughter under the stars. It’s soothing warmth!

We had a wonderful stay at the Farmhouse. It was bigger than we expected from the photos and very comfortable. Inside had everything we needed (and more!) including toys and games for the little ones and the gardens were just beautiful. We had lots of fun on the tennis courts! Lots in the area for young families. Hosts were very responsive whenever we had queries. Would recommend and would very happily stay again.

If you and your kids love Harry Potter this is the place for you. It was very cool. Cute little London Suburb, a little far out, but has its own amenities and easy Uber to surrounding towns. A really amazing Fish and Chips/ Kebab restaurant 10 min walk (oceans pearl), some good local pubs within a 10 min drive in the center of the town of Watford. 30 minutes from Luton and 35 mins from Heathrow. Our kids absolutely adored it and felt the magic of staying there as we had a down travel day there to relax and truly enjoy the house before heading home after a 2 week Europe vacation. I wish I could post the photo of their faces when they opened the door, as we didn’t tell them it was a Harry Potter Themed AirBnB. If you want central London or a quick tube ride it isn’t super convenient but if you are going to the WB studio tour not with a tour that includes transfers from London or looking for a place 30 mins from the airport that has a ton of magic this is the place for you.

Great place to stay, handy location and all of the amenities we needed!

We were pleased to find accommodation available where we could all stay and have a bed, have our second Christmas Day and generally be together with lots of space. Having the pool to enjoy was a particular bonus as most of us enjoy the water.

Our stay at this amazing piece of architecture and home was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the thoughtful layout and impressive design. The space was vast and beautifully appointed, offering everything we could possibly need and more. The huge windows were a particular highlight, flooding the house with natural light and providing stunning views. Our daughter spent hours gazing out of them! The garden was another major plus, a true haven for our dog who had the time of his life. A special mention must go to Ester, the owners' friendly dog, who became a wonderful playmate. This house truly felt like a luxurious retreat, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a stylish, spacious, and pet-friendly getaway. Superb property. Tucked away, very nice place to stay. Everything we needed for our stay. Great pub just a 5 minute walk away. Really friendly and helpful host. We will definitely be staying here again. 10/10 From me 🏆🏆

The was very modern, very clean, and easily accessible. Great number of amenities and check-in process was easy.

We had a great stay here, visiting family in Palmer's Green. Perfectly located for the train station and Palmer's Green High Street. Would definitely recommend, if you're looking for a well priced stay in London - from which it is perfectly easy to reach the city 👍

Stayed for one night, as a family. Accommodation was very clean, great layout and comfortable beds. Carvery restaurant and bar within a few minutes walk. Train station next door for connection into London. Supermarkets and shops within a 5 minute drive. Highly recommend

We had a lovely 3 night stay at The Loft. The apartment was spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. Sarah was a brilliant host and gave us lots of information and was there to meet us at check in. We didn’t know anything about Tring before our stay and were really pleasantly surprised by lovely it is. Lovely little shops and some really nice restaurants. Black Goo is well worth a visit for the amazing cakes and Storia was great for an evening meal. Thank you Sarah!
