House vacation rentals in Hatteras Island

My family and I enjoyed this beautiful place every minute. The hot tub and heated pool made our stay even more enjoyable. The privacy and calmness surrounding the house is amazing. Thank you for hosting us.

Our family had the most amazing stay at the Otter House!! The location was perfect! The neighborhood is so peaceful, and the views of the sound are breathtaking! We enjoyed walking down the beautiful docks to take in the stunning views and sunsets!! The house itself is beautifully decorated, incredibly spacious, and immaculate making our stay so comfortable. From the well-stocked kitchen (they have thought of everything you could ever need!), to such comfortable beds with beautiful bedding in each room, every detail was thoughtfully considered. We loved waking up to the beautiful views and having coffee on the back deck! The kids loved the game room, and hot tub!! The owners were the best, and made us feel so welcomed! We would give this home and owners more than 5 stars if we could! Best experience and stay, we will absolutely be back!! Thank you for sharing your slice of heaven with our family!!

We loved loved loved our stay at Robert and Jan’s place. Jan was an amazing host! She was attentive, detail oriented very helpful. She offered to pick up and deliver our groceries from the local Fiod Lion. She had left us snack and gifts with a handwritten note. We loved the hot tub evenings right under the NC stars. Pool was heated and kids had plenty to do, among the games in the house and outside beach walks. We will definitely will be back to her place next time to visit the NC OBX.

The house looked exactly as described & shown in the pictures! It was absolutely beautiful, clean and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay so much! The host was communicative, nice, & made sure we were settled into the house comfortably. Cannot say enough good things about this Air BnB!!

Excellent beach getaway on a quiet street with an easy walk to the beach. A quick walk from a local market with everything needed. House was clean, kitchen was very well stocked with everything needed for a stay. Grill was clean and plenty of gas. Pool was clean and private. Plenty of room for parking. Balcony and porch made for excellent evenings. Beach access is close and private. Everything was clean and ready to go when we go there. Hoses and outdoor faucets made cleanoff beach stuff and dogs easy. Will definitely look to rebook in the future.

Kate’s place was wonderful. Despite not staying during the best weather conditions, my family had tons of fun and enjoyed the amenities provided. Will definitely book again in the future!

Super cute Beach House, short walk to the beach, quiet neighborhood. I appreciate provided necessities, when I travel, and stay in airbnbs.. All the staples for cooking any meal, sheets and towels provided, good wifi, and great outdoor furniture to enjoy my surroundings. It's always the little things for me.. knives that actually are sharp.. having mirrors in every room.. it may not seem like much, but when you have traveled, and they're not there.. you know the difference. Thank you, Jody, for making checking in SUPER easy, and having very clear communication!

We loved our stay in Hatteras at the Isle Be Back! James was a great host - communicated well - both proactive and responsive. The listing was very consistent with our experience. We utilized the kayaks and one of the bikes, as well as the sand toys. It was wonderful for my kiddos to have an indoor, heated pool (which was very secure to keep them safe when we weren’t swimming). Great location. Very close to a few great beaches and the ferry docks. We would love to come back!

The house is perfect, location is perfect, very close to the sea. the kids' room was very cozy. I really loved the fact that each room has its own bathroom. the house is very close to variety of restaurants and attractions. our only critique is that there was a construction next to the house, which made noises during the day, however both Carrie and Joshua were very kind and generous and offer us different compensation, which we really appreciated. One of the best houses we been by far.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay! The view was beautiful and loved that the beach was walkable distance. Would definitely love to come back!

We had a wonderful stay in Avon! The house was fun, cozy, and felt very safe. We especially loved flying kites on the beach, watching the dolphins, and the beautiful sunrises every morning. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, and we hope to return someday!

Our long weekend stay was peaceful and just what we needed to recharge. The beach chairs and boogie boards were nice to have for the beach! The walk to the beach was a little confusing at first, but once we found the right path it was very quick. Overall we loved our stay, especially the sleepover environment with the loft!

We absolutely loved our week at Outer Banks. Sushma was a great host, the house is situated in a beautiful area and has everything you could wish for. The beaches and in particular the sunsets were breathtaking. We enjoyed long walks at the beach and the pool and jacuzzi afterwards!

I had a wonderful stay at Tiny Aloha. I went to have a solo retreat- and this space was perfect for me. Everything was super clean and aesthetically, well put together. There is great attention to detail from the wood work, the construction to the furnishings and art work. I really loved the space. Tami was responsive, clear with her communications and super helpful. One of the best parts for me was the outdoor shower. It's Spring time, so it was a bit cool and windy while I was there- but it was still amazing and I was surprised how much I liked it. The hang out area below is really nice for when you need to get off the beach- a very relaxing area that has everything you might want. I also loved having use of the bikes and beach chairs. I would definitely return- only I'd bring my husband next time- he needs to try the outdoor shower!

James and his wife are the epitome of what you want in a host. They are kind, helpful, and understanding. We unfortunately had to leave due to unforeseen circumstances but while we were there they both were nothing but amazing. The house was exactly how the photos showed and the yard is even better in person. We would absolutely recommend staying here. James and his wife were even nice enough to leave eggs from there chickens in the fridge for us upon our arrival. 10/10 would recommend.

We stayed here for a week with my family and can’t recommend it enough. The walk to the beach is easy and the beach is peaceful. Courtney had lots of thoughtful touches upon our arrival and great restaurant recommendations. The whole place is well stocked and comfortable inside/out. The deck, hot tub and kitchen are all in great shape too. 5/5

Very clean, charming beautiful home. Nicely tucked away from crowds and noise but at the same time walkable to everything. Hosts were very responsive and local so very helpful. Very friendly hosts and lovely decorators with great taste and great book collections. Thanks for a great stay!

Our stay was lovely! Everything in the house is quality. Comfortable beds, quality kitchen supplies, convenient ice machine, lovely decks. Beauty in the details inside and outside the house. From a hose to wash your sandy feet before entry, baby gate at the stair, a wooden tray to carry your coffee and breakfast to the porch with views of the ocean, to throw blankets in every room for snuggling under while watching your favorite movie on the many selections. The dogs were comfy and so were the two kids. Puzzles and board games in the cupboard, beach towels and muslin bath towels to dry off. Loved everything about our stay. Steps away from the beach at any time and laying on the roof deck at night to watch the stars. Mark was extremely responsive, sending a short video on how to use the nest HVAC. Super comfortable pillows for both back and side sleepers. Blackout curtains helped for those who need them. We slept with the windows open every night enjoying the waves. Had a magical trip.

Our stay at Timothy’s place was excellent. The weather was terrible during our stay due to a tropical storm, but the beautiful house made up for the weather. Timothy has thoroughly thought of every detail in the home. It is beautifully furnished and decorated. It has a great outdoor space. There were plenty of televisions to keep everyone happy given the weather. The hot tub is frequently serviced and clean. It has a very nice outdoor tub as well. The outdoor showers are beautiful and well designed. He has hoses on every level to minimize tracking sand into the house. We felt very relaxed. We would definitely recommend Timothy’s place. Very responsive host. Timothy definitely cares about his property and the comfort of his guests. We would come back and recommend this house.

This might be the most amazing Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in, absolutely unique and the little town of Wanchese is just charming. The climate control worked perfectly, the beds were super comfy, and the showers had great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Everything was clean and tidy, including the yard and outside areas. As an added treat, there were two pigs in the pen that we fed raisin bread and a cat that visited us every morning! We stayed during the bluegrass festival that is held every year in Manteo so the location was perfect for that. Seriously, it was pretty perfect and we could not have loved it any more!

Staying here was even better than the first time we stayed there last year. We love the area and we will be back.

Great location, easy to walk to the beach or the path on main road to local restaurants. Beautiful sunsets from the upper deck looking towards the sound and sunrise if you walk down to the beach path. The beach was beautiful and uncrowded. The beds were comfy and we had everything we needed for a long weekend. Bonus that we didn’t have to rent linens and towels as with other beach rentals. In fact, the beach chairs & beach towels meant less I had to pack. Though the yard is not fenced, there is was plenty of nice grass for the pup and the kids to play ball in. We are looking forward to coming back next season.

Jake was more than accommodating. Very clean. Jake was so responsive, respectful and GENEROUS! Highly recommend!

Lauren’s place was GORGEOUS! Lots of amenities and a great location. I first had chose this place for a vacation, which shortly lead to my fiancé and I getting married. I kept this airbnb to house my friends who were flying in from various places and they said nothing but great things about their stay. Thanks again Lauren for keeping my friends and I comfortable. Will definitely be back!!
