The space
This 2000+ square foot 4 bedroom/3.5 bathroom home has everything you need for a great stay. Our guests with large families love the layout. You have the 2 story Main House in front and attached Vintage Cottage in back. You really get 2 houses in 1 rental because both the Main House and Cottage provide full kitchens and open floor plan living rooms. Perfect for traveling families who enjoy a little separation! The main house built in 2008 and fully restored cottage (circa 1875) have all of the modern conveniences you desire. The home design includes thoughtful touches throughout including stained glass doors and windows, hardwood floors, granite countertops, shuttered windows and original local artwork.
Location: The home is situated in a wonderful walkable neighborhood between the famed Fort Castillo De San Marcos and the beautiful Mission De Nombres. Plus it's a short and pretty walk to all of the historical sights in downtown St. Augustine.
Main House First Floor:
The first floor has an open floor plan overlooking the heated saline pool with LR, Full Kitchen and dining room space for 6-8. The Living Room has a large wall hung flat screen TV. Kitchen has full size refrigerator and stove, DW, microwave, coffeemaker and garbage disposal. It is also connected to the cottage via a glassed in breezeway but is completely separate and can be closed off by 2 sets of locking doors.
Main House Second Floor:
Upstairs you will find 2 bedrooms separated by a hallway, laundry area and Jack and Jill bathrooms.
Bedroom 1 has a Queen Size bed, Smart TV, French doors to the upper front porch, sitting area, large closet and direct access to sink/toilet and shared tub/shower with glass doors.
Bedroom 2 has 2 comfy twin beds (or we can combine to make a King), antique French doors with stained glass, large closet and direct access to sink/toilet and shared tub/shower room with large glass doors.
Both bedrooms have memory foam mattresses and wonderful linens for a great sleep!
Pink Cottage:
It's like another house! It has a full kitchen, open floor Living Space with original art, wall hung TV and Breakfast Bar seating for 3.
Cottage Bedrooms:
There are 2 bedrooms and each has it's own bathroom. One room has a Queen bed with walk in shower and the other is a Queen bed with TV and ensuite tub/shower combo. Both have superior memory foam mattresses and linens.
Outside:
There are 2 separate patios. One is poolside and the other is a pretty little garden area with furniture for dining, lounging and a gas grill.
Guest access
Beach umbrella, a few beach chairs, cooler, gas grill, heated saline pool and floats/pool noodles. Just bring your clothes!
Other things to note
This home is for LODGING only. Quiet hours between 10pm and 8am are strictly enforced (see below). NOT a party house. We love our neighbors and respect that this is their neighborhood too.
Parking on property is best for 2-3 cars. If you have more than 3 cars please let us know and we will give you a free parking pass to the Municipal Garage nearby.
We have a pet fee (non refundable) of $100 per pet per stay. 2 pets is $150 and any extra due is collected after booking.
The pool is heated to 82, however, please take notice that the pool heater will turn itself off if the air temps are 55 or below. Also it turns off automatically when the pump cycles off each night. This means it may take some time to catch up to our 82 degree setting the next day and/or it may not make it to 82 based on air temp. During chillier weather plan to swim later in the day. We do not charge you for heating the pool and there are NO refunds given for pool being less than 82.
No events, gatherings, visitors, pets (unless approved by owner), smoking, parties, disruptions or other disregard of lease terms can occur or terms of rental are void and immediate eviction will be enforced. Persons other than those specified in the booking are not allowed in/on the property unless approved by us in advance. If you would like to have a visitor please coordinate with us in advance. Please let us know who, when and for how long you expect your guest. Parking will also need to be coordinated as we have limited space.
External security cameras in use. This is for your protection and protection of the property. Video recordings occur incrementally. Video are routinely deleted by the system and would only be shared with law enforcement as needed.
This property is licensed with the City of St. Augustine, St. Johns County and state of Florida for vacation rentals. Lodging is subject to state/county taxes (currently 11.5% combined).
