Biskey Bowness boasts two beautiful bedrooms, in an apartment comprising the lower two floors, of a large four storey building. It’s a beautifully quiet location, yet within walking distance of the pier and the many pubs/restaurants/cafe’s - so no need to drive, meaning everyone can relax, it's perfect for enjoying the Lakes. The private parking space is very useful too, like gold dust in Bowness.

The space
The accommodation provides two well appointed bedrooms, King size bed & twin bedded rooms with a shared family bathroom. Ground floor has lounge through dining room, fully equipped kitchen with washer & dryer, microwave, oven and dishwasher. Smart TV's in all rooms, free WIFI (47Mbps) and a private car parking for (1) one car.

Guest access
Guests have self check-in access for sole use of Biskey Bowness with free parking, WIFI etc. Unfortunately we do not have any facilities for babies, toddlers or small children under 13 years of age. There are stairs and no provision of cots, highchairs, baby gates or bed guards.

Sadly, there is no outside garden space. But walk 4–5-minutes from the house, up Biskey Howe Road and through a small, wooded area, it takes you to the Biskey Howe viewpoint. The beautiful and tucked-away corner gives fantastic views over the lake with benches on which to perhaps enjoy a glass of wine or picnic (weather permitting)!

The Lake District is bathed in beauty whatever the season. While its spectacular scenery is perhaps best experienced in spring and summer with the longer days and warmer weather, it's full of colour in the autumn and remote in the winter.

The peak season runs from April until October, with July and August topping visitor numbers, so avoid this period if you prefer things a little more tranquil.

There is something for everyone both outdoors types and those wanting to relax and stroll and enjoy the scenery from the boat or bus. There are hundreds of lovely local pubs and restaurants tucked away in villages just waiting to be explored. There are also Michelin starred restaurants and gastro pubs for those wanting a specific cuisine.

Hello, we are Chris and Inoka and run the Sonata Guesthouse, Kendal, and Biskey in Bowness-on-Windermere (a self-catering option). We have two little ones, so in between the school run and term times we squeeze in some fun and a few trips ourselves. We love travel – around the Ullswater and Wasdale this year! around the UK and abroad and food always leaves us, lasting memories of our journeys, like photographs in taste and smell. Please note that check in is strictly 4.00pm, and check-out 10.00am. We have to make sure, that we have time for all the extra cleaning and disinfecting, that is needed these days between guests.
