Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Cottage has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and everything you need is provided. Bed is super comfortable and shower and huge tub are great. It is so peaceful. There was something very special about sitting in the hot tub after a busy day walking watching the sun set and the hares play in the field. All you will hear while you stay is birdsong.

We arrived early and Marc allowed us to self check in early, which was very much appreciated after our long early morning journey. The check in was easy with the door unlocked and key on the side. The place is very comfortable, exceptionally clean and spotless with everything provided and needed to enjoy our short break away. Pickering town centre is a 7/10 minute walk away. There are plenty of places to eat and close to the steam train to Whitby. I highly recommend the Chinese restaurant opposite the train station. The biscuits/coffee/teabags/sugar/bread/butter/jam/marmalade packs that Marc left for us were all very much appreciated and a nice touch. There was also a pack of ice in the freezer. The cottage is very private and quiet with a lovely little garden to sit in. We highly recommend Marc’s place as a great place to stay in a great location.

A beautiful cottage in a great location! The hosts have done a wonderful job with the house, and it shows even in the smallest of details, from dog treats through to a guest book full of recommendations on the what to do in the area, including dog walk suggestions. We loved our stay!

Lovely stay over the Easter weekend! The house was spacious, well equipped, and had all the comforts needed for a sociable family night in. The bedrooms were all comfortable and we had two great nights’ sleep, and the en-suite plus main bathroom was a real bonus given there were 6 adults. We used the property as a base for exploring the local area, visiting Helmsley and Kirbymoorside and Rosedale Abbey over the weekend, and it was a perfect place to come back to at the end of the day. Helen’s instructions were clear and she was proactive and always on hand to answer any questions. Overall a great stay, and we’d definitely book again and recommend!

The apartment is exactly as described. lovely roomy lounge/kitchen with comfortable seating. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. There were teabags, coffee, milk and treats left for us.....very much appreciated. The beds were super comfy and both bathrooms were of good standard and very clean with toiletries.....There were books games and music available. We agreed we'd all be very happy to stay at Alison's apartment again...Alison was very contactable.

We had a lovely weekend staying at Serendipity to visit the Christmas markets in York. The place has everything we needed and more and Rachael had kindly left the heating on for us so we were super cosy when we arrived in the evening too. Very comfortable bed with great pillows and a great power shower - the all important things! Also a lovely extra touch with some treats for us and the dogs, plus milk, tea and coffee. Our 8 year old loved the addition of the XBOX and extra toys to play with too! Thank you so much Rachael! Helen, Dave, Fin, Olive & Gus x
