Ruth’s place had us feeling right at home. In amongst the gorgeous gum trees, we relished in the beautiful silence and stillness. It felt tranquil. We felt very well looked after. The pool is beautiful and the art work and decor adds a unique and artistic edge. It is close to the Tasman Peninsula. Perfect for animal lovers, we saw a Tassie Devil close to their place and an echidna in the yard! And some very cute chickens. We definitely recommend staying here and experiencing the beauty this place has to offer.

Really lovely place to stay. We booked in order to visit van Bone but were blown away by the beautiful, peaceful setting, amazing wildlife ( in house echidna and kookaburra family). It was perfect. Also really well stocked house, great library and telescope.

John and Cathy's cottage is great; it fits perfectly with the site's description, and the cleanliness is impeccable. It is far off the road and therefore quiet. The location is ideal for exploring the peninsula and enjoying the many activities available in the area. I have already rebooked for an extra stay 😀
