Family-friendly vacation rentals in Duck

The condo is in a great spot with some nice amenities. The tennis courts were empty, so it was easy to play if you wanted, and while I didn’t swim since it wasn’t the season, the pool looked like it would be nice in warmer weather. The location is perfect—close to Bay Drive with the wide sound-side walking path and an easy walk to the monument. There are three flights of stairs to get to the unit (this was mentioned in the listing, so I knew ahead of time). I didn’t mind at all, and the upside is no one above you and amazing views from the porch. The condo is simple but had everything I needed, and I was very comfortable. It’s also absolutely spotless—they clearly put a lot of effort into keeping it clean, which was so reassuring. Easily the cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. Thanks so much for hosting!

Grouper Therapy is conveniently located - walkable to beach, sound, restaurants/stores in Duck, and neighborhood pool. The house had a floor plan with 3 King bedrooms + 1 more that worked perfectly for our family. The kitchen was well appointed - provides everything you need if you want to cook in. We appreciated all the extras provided - high chair, beach chairs, carts, tv in every bedroom. Our family really enjoyed our week in Duck.

Spacious home with high end furniture, window treatments and other amenities. Incredibly outfitted kitchen with multiple small appliances and cookware. Bedrooms were huge and beautifully decorated. Four full bathrooms and one half bath made it convenient for all of us. Pool was a huge hit with our family. Convenient mini kitchen on ground floor was a great addition! Neighborhood was so beautiful, private, and nice to walk.

Even with all the rain during our beach week, we had a great time at this dog-friendly cottage. The screened-in porches made catching up with family outside bug free. Nice pool, corn hole and hammock were nice to have as well. Short walk down quiet unpaved street to beautiful beach. So many restaurants & activities nearby!

We had such a wonderful few days at the Mermaid Lagoon. The house was absolutely beautiful and very clean. We felt right at home. We will definitely come back.

Location was great! Duck is super cute. Stayed with my kids, my brother and kids kids and my sister. It was plenty of space for all of us and we loved the outer banks!

I can’t possibly put into words the experience we had. From the time I booked till checkout. Communication was quick. Answered each every one of my questions. And trust me I asked a lot. Was checking in to make sure we were good. Check in was easy breezy. House is nice and spacious. We were a family of 12 and made out great. The kids loved having the whole bottom level. They weee close to the hot tub. Kitchen had a nicely stocked little pantry. We cooked our Thanksgiving dinner with ease. We were able to find all pots, pans and even storage containers we needed already supplied. The gas fireplace was my favorite. Really warms up the top floor nicely. The views from the deck of the sunrises were amazing. I just can’t say enough. Other than we will definitely be going back.

Everything was amazing! The only issue we had was the posting stated 3 cars able to park and we could barely fit a Toyota tundra in the garage ( could not walk around it at all ! ) and the driveway the only way we could park is sideways. Everything else was just as listed and amazing! Highly recommend.

Eric’s place was just as described. Very roomy and the pool was larger than most! Short walk to the beach and short drive to see the wild horses. Eric was very responsive and helpful! We had a great relaxing week!

Last minute trip planned. There were 12 of us and this house was a great size with plenty of space where we did not feel like we were on top of each other. 4 teenagers the area was perfect. They were able to go on their own and explore Corolla, walking and biking. We look forward to visiting Outer Banks again.

House was exactly as described and very clean! Short walk to beach with public access, great spot for sunrise!! Brad was very easy to communicate with even recommended lots of places close by for us to try. Would definitely stay here again.

The space was extremely clean and organized, super easy to find and check in. The private beach access is about a 5 minute walk or so which was convenient. You’re also not far from Duck which was also very convenient. Overall, it was very nice, I would highly recommend this location and would stay again given the chance.

My stay was beautiful ! Great house and Ben was an amazing host. He accommodated to all our needs and was super kind. I will definitely come back.

We enjoyed our family trip to the Outer Banks, and we were so happy to have our dog with us! Lisa responded quickly before and after we booked our trip. Her home was peaceful and cozy. Location was great. It was a home away from home for us.

My family had a great time at the bungalow! Michael and Maria gave us great restaurant suggestions. The bungalow is in a great location with tons of things to do! 10 out of 10 Would recommend! The porch hammock and bean bag chair was great for hanging out on the porch listening to the waves great getaway!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Susan’s place! She was responsive, informative, and friendly. The location is safe and walkable, making it easy to explore the area without needing a car. The home was spotless and very well-decorated, with thoughtful touches throughout that made it feel warm and welcoming. Fully stocked kitchen, games to play, art supplies for the kids, and puzzles — we felt right at home. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for comfort, convenience, and charm!

James was very responsive and quick to make sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. The home is cute and quirky - looks just like the photos! The only thing that was confusing was that sheets and towels are not included in the listing. This was not immediately clear from the listing page. When we were told this a couple days before our trip, James was very accommodating, though, and helped us sort out the issue. All in all a very pleasant experience with a very nice front porch!

My family loved our spring break trip to the Beach Barn. The house is in an amazing location just a short walk to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants. The central location in Nags Head is the perfect jumping off point for exploring all parts of the Outer Banks. Alison provided excellent instructions and flexibility with check-in, and was very responsive when we had a minor issue with the washing machine during our stay. The house itself has everything you would need for a beach vacation, especially with kids. There were toys, books, games, and beach supplies available. Amy kids particularly loved the Super Mario Brothers monopoly and bunk beds. Would definitely recommend!

From the time I checked in I felt like I was at home. I arrived early and Marcia was still cleaning and she still let me come by and look at the place. When it came time for check in, she showed me everything in the apt., where to find the bikes and beach stuff and also showed me her book of local recommendations for activities and restaurants. The apt. was immaculate and had everything I needed. It was a very relaxing week and it was made possible by this cozy little place that was nestled in a very quiet neighborhood of KDH. Looking forward to returning to KDH next year..still things left to visit and see. 😊
