Villa vacation rentals in Douro

Undoubtedly a vacation to repeat, I recommend to those looking for tranquility, tranquility and nature! The house is very well equipped, furnished and has an incredible view! During our stay we were also able to enjoy the delicious fruit that has at the Quinta de Fundevila (where the house is located). Regarding the location, it could not be better, a few minutes walk is in the center of Arco de Baúlhe or the old train station, where there is no shortage of things to see and explore. It should be noted that the restaurants in the area are all very good, as are the bakery and are just minutes from the house. Regina and Alberto are very attentive and warm hosts, they spoiled us very! Many thanks for everything, we miss you already <3

Very beautiful place indeed. The house is cozy, warm, spacious (bedrooms and beds are big!), clean and really nice! The kitchen is also well equipped, we stayed in two families and we simply had a fantastic time re every single aspect. However the best part of the experience has been the way Marta took care of us prior and during arrival, and the entire property. Gardens, spectacular views and little corners. We will go back in a warmer season for sure! Thanks Marta!

We had a lovely weeks stay at Casa da Horta. The pool and views from the pool area were amazing and the children enjoyed playing on the trampoline and exploring the grounds. The apartment itself was really well furnished and clean and we all loved the large shower. The position of the apartment at the top of the site meant it wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with mobility issues (as per Vania’s description) but for us it just meant that we walked off some the pastel de natas and we appreciated the particularly good views from our patio area. Guimaraes was only 12 mins drive away with its pretty historic town and Porto was an hour and ten minutes on the train (with one train every hour) and cost us around 22 euros return for the whole family. We also went on the cable cars at Guimaraes and the Funicular at Braga, both of which our children really enjoyed. We had a lovely holiday and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the apartments to anyone considering a holiday in the area.

A big thank you to Sergio for hosting us in perfect French: a small bottle and delicious pasteis were waiting for us in the fridge. He was very good advice to let us know what to visit in the area. The accommodation was exactly as described. Sergio has a beautiful and large very clean house. The garden is very nice but unfortunately we did not get a chance to use it too much because time didn't allow it.

We had a pleasant stay in Manuel's house. We stayed 8 days with my family. My children being very young (1 year and 2 years), we enjoyed the house for a long time! It's suitable for children. Be careful with the pool around which there is no protection for the little ones. So you have to open your eyes. But other than that everything is fine. The view from the house is beautiful. Manuel is very responsive and flexible. A housekeeper visits almost daily to help us maintain the house. Thank you Manuel and maybe see you soon! Nicolas

Awesome location. Very spacious, river is just next to the house. Big pool. A lot of extra services you can get. For ex renting sups and rafting down the river is a must!

To everyone who’s thinking of renting this house; if you’re having doubts, this is the sign to go for it. I’m speaking on behalf of my family and myself. We were a group of 8 who had the lovely opportunity to spend New Year’s Eve in this beautiful space. To start with, pictures don’t do justice to the gem you find when you pass through the entrance door. The house seems like it blends or comes out of the mountain itself. Maintaining original external features of what it seemed an old house that was carefully blended into the newer structure of the main house. When you enter you have the feeling of being at home and from any of the panoramic windows to the west side of the house you get the breathtaking views of the Douro river They’ve thought of all details and making it a perfectly functional house to not have to leave for as long as you plan to stay there. Having the breakfast service is also another extra service we were really happy to have thank you for the lovely experience.

Clare is the best Airbnb host we have ever had! She is so friendly, went above and beyond bringing me an air purifier to ensure I was comfortable, and gave us dozens of recommendations. The house was also our favourite one we stayed at in Portugal out of 6 different accommodations, so beautiful and in such a great/safe area. Would stay here again!

We came to Antonio’s place to relax with our family for a few days after the wedding, before heading out to our honeymoon. There are no words to describe how beautiful and perfect this place is! The house is clean, peaceful, and the breakfast is INCREDIBLE. The fact that we could wake up every morning to the birds chirping, fresh air, and a whole table of fresh cheese, meat, bread, jams, yogurt, fruit, tea, coffee, etc. was one of the best parts of this trip. Maria and Antonio are extremely kind and helpful. If you’re on the fence, I promise you won’t regret staying in this sanctuary!

Family stay to spend Christmas that went very well due to the excellent amenities of the facilities. Very spacious and comfortable house with various spaces for leisure and fun. The pool area and the dining room give 5 * ( nor did we give due to the lack of the TV that has broken in the meantime). The house is beautifully decorated. definitely repeating it.

With a small group of friends, we had 4 beautiful days near Porto. The setting in which the villa is located is breathtaking, only a few hectometers from the mouth of the Douro! The house is beautiful and very clean and tastefully arranged. The kitchen is very well supplied with utensils and appliances which is perfect. The pool is very nice to refresh after a day of sightseeing.

Had a great time in Marie’s place. She welcomed us really well sharing local places we could go to to shop or eat, and recommendation for Porto. Very easy to check in and flexible which was great. The house is very big with all amenities, and a very nice area by the swimming pool. Thanks again !

A beautiful house with peaceful surroundings. The family enjoyed the swimming pool, the table tennis and the walk to the river. There is everything in the house that is needed for a relaxing holiday. The kayak trip (organised by Ana) from the house to the town is really fun and worth doing. The guide is excellent and we learnt a lot about the history of the area. We visited Bom Jesus do Monte at Brage, about 35 minutes drive and Pena Adventure, just over an hours drive away. They have a zip wire from the top of the mountain and an alpine coaster, plus lots of other activities for adults and children. Some need booking early. We had a fun holiday and would recommend the house and the area. Thank you Ralf and Ana

We had a wonderful time in Portugal, and Antonio's place was a perfect base for our day trips. The house was lovely with lots of space and beautiful decor. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to cook in. The gardens had lots to explore, and fruit trees and a vegetable patch. Our children loved the house and we all had lots to do, including a playroom with loads of toys, dozens of boardgames, and just really nice spots to sit and read. Antonio was super friendly, very easily contactable, very quick to respond, and gave us lots of nice suggestions. We've had an amazing time at his amazing family home!

I highly recommend Rita's house. Comfortable house, very clean, peaceful, very quiet and very well-equipped. We received a very nice welcome when we arrived. The house was even more beautiful than expected and cleaned to a wonderful standard. The place felt homely and spacious with enough amenities provided ie towels, kitchen utensils, food items etc. Pool and grounds were well kept by Fernando who helped us out with some queries during the week. The ruins on the property have the place an authentic and rustic feel. This is the perfect spot to get away from it all for some peace and quiet in the beautiful countryside.

Accommodation to enjoy it at all times, every corner very cared for and with many nice details. Located outside Amarante, in a very quiet area. Unbeatable barbecue and pool area, ideal for spending a few days with the family. The house is not very big, but it is well used and lacks nothing. On the other hand, Paulo's attention is worthy of praise, caring at every moment of our well-being, and counting on the help of wonderful neighbors who made us the stay very pleasant and pleasant. Without a doubt, the quality/price is more than recommended, we would repeat with our eyes closed now that we know Paulo and his surroundings.
