Vacation rentals with lake access in Douro

We truly enjoyed our time relaxing at this scenic and historic place. Right along the river, attached to walking trails in a little park. Plenty of space and all the comforts of home. We spent a cool December evening here cozying up next to the fire and reading about the history of the region. The bridge/entrance dates back to roughly 1660-1740, incredible!

The house is located as the bottom of a valley, you can hear the stream of the river from inside the house. it's a very peaceful place. for us it was the perfect home to celebrate Christmas. The fireplace in the middle of the house made the terracotta pit a warm and cozy heart of the house. the pool looked stunning, but since its december we didn't dare to take a cold plunge. the dogs are welcoming and were friendly towards our dog. the kitchen is well equipped. The hosts are very kind and helpful, it was nice having a longer chat with them on one of our walks in the forest. A perfect Holliday home.

Wow!! Stunning, stunning accommodation! Excellent and responsive communication from the hosts. We appreciated the early checkin. The welcome honey and other drinks received were very tasty. The house was easy to find with Rafael’s instructions and checkin was seamless. Everything was spotless with all needed amenities. It was fantastic to have BBQ’s with the river back drop or just to sit and enjoy the awesome environment. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home. Definitely recommended, without any hesitation.

My stay was just what I needed: a couple of peaceful days in the pristine mountains of Portugal. Very well, equipped kitchen, very comfy bed and nice linens …the host left me some vegetables and fruit from garden, which was amazing. A couple of stunning fireplaces in the house that I used every night Just enjoyable. Thank you.

We had a great time at Alice's place, the place is equipped with everything you need and the pool and barbecue areas are very nice! The location is very quiet and a little secluded but nicely located in nature.

Beautiful property with even more beautiful grounds! Eusebio's place is very peaceful, with a big pool, flat yard, and beautiful plants everywhere! The home was perfect for our family of 3. We loved exploring this remote area, as well as driving to Viana do Castelo to shop and eat.

We went for the anniversary of my girlfriend and we loved the super equipped and comfortable house. Everything was very clean We would be back

This is a beautiful apartment, right on the river with an incredible view. It has a small balcony which was the perfect place to take in the surroundings plus the comings and goings on the river. The garage in the base of the building also made things very easy. This is a very nice place from which to explore Porto and we would definitely stay here again. Isa is a very proactive and responsive host.

We loved this place! It was very fun to be there during the festival, as well, and to look out and see the fireworks and hear the festivities. The parking was convenient but difficult to navigate. Glad my husband is a good driver!!! Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Sandra was wonderful to work with.

The apartment was so cozy, we were grateful for the little local treats that were left for us it was such a nice touch. The apartment was clean and had a beautiful view of the river from the bedroom windows. The small town was quaint and we enjoyed immensely walking around trying all the amazing restaurants and enjoying the beach. My family and I can’t wait to visit this amazing place again soon!!! Vivi a movie setting on this Airbnb. With the countryside around and all the scenery made to work. Mónica is concerned with the smallest details, even with the flowers of the environment being cared for every day. We spent the end of the year 2024 to 2025 and it was a dream. All very magical. We had a strong presence of God in the environment because it was inserted in the midst of nature, with all the modorm of a spa having the best of both worlds. We'll definitely be back next time. Congratulations Monica for the great work, it's not just managing an Airbnb but transforming a person when they leave your property. 5 stars

My family loved staying at this beautiful suite in the heart of Vila Nova de Gaia! We felt absolutely at home, while being so close to many walkable areas. We will definitely stay again!

Very nice and recommend

Was a good stay. The place is small and the views are amazing but unfortunately you can’t really see them from the small living room , you need to walk out to the enclosed small terrace or by the sink in the kitchen The larger terrace i guess could be useful in the summer but it’s detached from the house We were a group of 4 and it was tight but made it work. It can also be noisy at night as it’s next to the park so traffic and people can be loud at time Despite all we enjoyed our stay and Sonia was lovely and helpful For us it just missed the mark with the views

We had a lovely stay at this cottage located in the countryside in a relaxing place! José and Aurora were very attentive: tips, fruit and apple juice from the farm, thank you! Supermarket 5 minutes away, rivers for swimming a few minutes away, Amarante and Guimarães 45 minutes away, Porto 1h15.

Amazing place right next to a beautiful nature reserve. The house itself is really well designed. 4 large en-suite bedrooms, perfect for some couples or different friends/groups. so peaceful, only birds and occasional animal noises for company! We hired bikes from the nature reserve for €2 half a day. amazing!

Perfect house, excellent location

Everything was great. The house is prettier live than the pictures! We slept with our two kids and we didn't need anything.

Beautiful house, amazing private location above a lake. Very relaxing being immersed in nature. House well kitted out and lovely features. We took our paddleboard and wonderful paddle boarding on the lake. Children loved the swimming and the ‘cold tub’ plunge pool. Thankyou Gerrit and Grace, we hope to return.
