Monthly Rentals in Damascus

This was our second time staying at Pat’s home and once again it was the perfect option for our family. It’s located perfectly so that we can visit with family in Rhea Valley and Mountain City while also exploring Damascus, hiking on the AT and rambling in the local creeks. It’s was easy to get to Shady Valley to go hiking and to explore Backbone Rock. Having Food City two minutes away is really nice, the dogs love the big fenced yard and we LOVED sitting out on the front porch drinking coffee, reading books and relaxing with the neighbors all out on their front porches. Again…it’s the perfect home for our family!

Great stay. Beds were super comfortable, the location was great and the living room and kitchen table were a great place to hang out. We enjoyed having meals on the back deck, under the massive umbrella. One note about the kitchen… we did have to run out and buy a pan that could be cooked in because the provided pans were deeply scratched teflon and very worn. We had to run out a second time to buy disposable aluminum pans to make a casserole, as there wasn’t anything at all that could go in the oven. Those are minor but want to warn others to bring a couple of supplies with them if they will be cooking. Also, the road noise is LOUD. It didn’t really bother us, as we are a used to it but just be prepared, if you don’t like noise. All in all, we loved our stay and would definitely come back!

Sage’s place was perfect. It was clean and cozy, had everything we needed, and the location was perfect for walking to downtown Damascus and accessing the VA creeper trail. The outdoor spaces were lovely as well. Sage and Lisa had great recommendations for local restaurants and the house had lots of trail maps and information about local hikes. Our 2 kids enjoyed the selection of games as well. Highly recommend this and we hope to be back again.

If you want to hear the sound of silence, that's the place. Beth is very discreet but respond very quickly at requests. Value for money excellent. Thanks from Québec.
