Monthly Rentals in Coolham

Lovely few days stay with my sister and elderly Mum. Don’t be fooled by the small frontage, it’s like a little tardis. It is clean and comfortable with plenty of room and a nice enclosed garden with a small fence. Water pressure was strong, beds clean and comfortable. Horses outside the door and we saw 3 deer in the field outside the garden. We went to a small village called Petworth, pretty, cheap to park and boutique shops. We spent a day in Brighton, about half hour away, we went on the pier and the lanes. We did park and ride as parking expensive. We spent another day wandering around Arundel, also about half hour drive, and visited the church and cathedral. We didn’t do the castle as it was minimum £27 each. Parking reasonable though and a few shops to browse. Lovely pub near the cathedral called The St Mary’s Gate Inn. Lovely food and friendly service. Would definitely visit again if we are in that area.

We booked for one night as we wanted to get out of the city and see the planetary alignment and just spend an evening together in a chilled environment. The annex was perfect for that and had everything we needed.

From this cozy spot in the English countryside we were able to explore the Knepp Estate and a bit of the South Downs Way. Thanks to Simon's instructions we were able to walk from the Airbnb to Knepp, hike their trails and enjoy the shop and cafe. Please note that the cafe and local pubs are not open for breakfast and the Airbnb does not have a kitchenette. So for our second day we did a short drive south to Steyning and had a wonderful breakfast at Cafe Joel. There are several footpaths from Steyning up to the South Downs Way. The views are incredible.

This was the perfect place for our weekend. It was easy to find, and the house was clean, spacious, and supplied everything we needed - thank you! The coffee machine was especially appreciated. If the weather was warmer we would have made use of the cute garden. The location was quiet and peaceful; and the house was cosy & warm despite the cold temperatures. We can’t wait to return to this house. Thank you for a great stay.
