Frank and Martha’s place is super cute. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. The house has lots of open space and is a short drive to all the essentials. Frank’s and Martha were very communicative and accommodating leading up to my stay. Highly recommend!

David and Flanna were the ultimate hosts! They exhibited extraordinary hospitality, were so very helpful, and provided wonderful entertainment. David even went above and beyond by cooking a couple of wonderful meals for us! We enjoyed the extra care and attention during our extreme adventure during the snow storm. They were not just incredible hosts but they became our friends! Hope to be back sometime in the future.

Kristin is the best host and who knew she’s such a talented artist! Her lovely paintings added to the great atmosphere! We enjoyed our stay and spent 90% of our time on the balcony enjoying the view and Kristin’s beautiful landscaping. We needed a sanctuary for a getaway and found it. You won’t be disappointed!

We had a relaxing stay in a peaceful, country setting. The home has a cozy, private feel, and we really enjoyed the beautiful weather and quiet time by the water. Fishing was a fun bonus, and the views made for a really calming backdrop. The house had what we needed for a comfortable week stay, and the host was kind and responsive in communications. It’s definitely a place for unplugging and slowing down, and we appreciated the chance to recharge in a quieter corner of the state.

The home was very nice and comfortable. The view was incredible. The weather was cool and cloudy, so I only got two beautiful sunsets, but the views of the water were great. The large window looking out at the water was wonderful. My stay was very enjoyable. As others noted, the home isn't particularly close to shopping and restaurants, but I brought food with me and didn't have any reason (or desire) to go anywhere. My time here was extremely quiet and peaceful.

My family and I truly enjoyed the peace, natural beauty, cleanliness, and comfort here. The kitchen had everything we needed. The house and property are beautiful. Walking outside to sit on the private pier was wonderful. Highly recommend for a quiet, peaceful, beautiful getaway in nature. Seems like an ideal place to fish and kayak, maybe next time!

Pet Friendly Private Waterfront Cottage

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The house was immaculately clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The surrounding views were so beautiful and relaxing. Our 2 dogs enjoyed sniffing around the yards and exploring. Dog treats, bowls, and beds were provided which was a nice touch. We spent the days exploring Edenton and Elizabeth City, and we had cozy movie nights with their smart tv. Restaurants are at least 20 minutes away which wasn’t too bad. There’s a convenience store 5 minutes up the road that also does pizza orders. We tried it one night, and it was super good! We thought this was awesome because the house was in a pretty secluded but peaceful area. Thanks for a great weekend! Definitely made memories here to last a lifetime with my family and fur babies.

I have one word for this place and it is AMAZING! Everything you see in the pictures is exactly how it is in real life. The view was unbeatable and all of the amenities were top notch. My family and I made so many beautiful memories during our stay. We loved her house so much I extended our trip a day just so we could stay for longer and Elizabeth had no issue letting me stay another night. I truly couldn’t have picked a better place for our vacation this year. No complaints! 10 out of 10! You will NOT regret booking with Elizabeth and staying in her wonderful home!

Nice home with large deck and space to hang out with family. We didn't have much time to enjoy the river, but plenty of fishing poles available if we wanted to fish. We enjoyed our quick trip to the area.

Loved this Airbnb. Gorgeous inside and outside. Hosts are very responsive and helpful. The views are amazing and it is so peaceful. Would love to return!

We enjoyed our stay at the Bay House, it was beautiful and had everything we needed for a long, relaxing weekend stay. We really appreciated all the nicer finishes in the house and outside too. The view was amazing. Janna was extremely responsive and a great host. We will definitely go back, hopefully when some family can join us there in warmer weather.

We were attending the Bass master tournament in Elizabeth city. It was an easy drive day and night. Such a beautiful cabin. Loved looking out over the water each day and night. Plenty of room for our family of 4 and my husband had room to park the boat. Appreciated the quick response to all questions. Felt like we were home with the full kitchen, washer dryer, and strong WiFi. Hope to stay again.

Was a welcome home away from...my group was not in town for pleasure and these hosts property was perfect for a home substitute while on the road for work. 3 grown men slept comfortably, had plenty of hot water and plenty of internet. Wish we had time to enjoy then surroundings...highly recommend this location.
