Immersive Art Retreat on Historic Main Street!

JoeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The "Art House", as we took to calling it, was just as wonderful as all the pictures suggested and more. Each day we noticed more and more that made it such a quaint and joyful experience. There were so many spaces to relax with a unique atmosphere for each one, while still maintaining the art vibe. Our favorite space was the side room of the house with all the plants and windows. Was truly a joy to hang out in and decompress after spending time with the family we had come to visit. Additionally, Liesl was an excellent and very communicative host. A lot of effort was put into making the place feel unique while also maintaining a sense of home away from home. These things were quite evident in the listing with the amount of information available on things to do or see as well as all the amenities and accommodations within the house. If we end up back in Elizabeth City, we will definitely seek out the Art House if it's available.

Winnie the Winnebago in Snug Harbor @snuglifecamp

JessicaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Great place to stay, super cute with the way she turned old Winnebago's into airbnb. The kitchen was a little warm for this time of year to cook in but other than that it was equipped with all that you need to cook. The portlet was a little bit of a hassle to have to clean everyday. Even though I would only use it in the middle of the night. Very primitive which I liked. I would definitely stay again as a vacation stay.

Quiet Retreat (Pet friendly)

RobertRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Our stay at Maureen’s was absolutely wonderful. Very spacious, nicely decorated, warm , cozy and comfortable atmosphere you felt as if you were in your own home. The yard is large and is a wonderful place for your fur baby to explore and get some exercise. The neighborhood is quiet and we always had an enjoyable walk every day with our dog. Met some of the neighbors as well as their dogs and everyone is very friendly. Great place to get together with friends and family and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place that they can call home while on vacation. Looking forward to staying here again very soon. Maureen was very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay a very enjoyable experience. Deb & Bob Appello

The Hen House, a cozy 2 bedroom in town cottage

CoraRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We spent Thanksgiving with our children at The Hen House. It is clear that Victoria and Tanner have put a lot of love into this little house! It felt like home (so peaceful)! We loved the decor (especially the family photos) and the view from the deck was so wonderful! The fact that it was pet-friendly made it even better. We were able to do a little exploring in Edenton and still pop into Elizabeth City to restock my daughter's dorm room. Victoria was quick to respond when we had questions. We had a great experience!

Southern Porch Charmer

LindsayRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Jayne Lynn was very accommodating to our party’s split arrival and even put me and my 70-year-old mother at ease by meeting my mom at the house to get her settled in before my husband and I were able to arrive. We appreciated this extra touch, especially during Thanksgiving week. One note for those who have dogs: the yard is only fenced on three sides, so if you have a runner, you may want to bring a tie-out for them. The house is beautiful but definitely has some quirks of a 100-year-old home. All in all, a pleasant stay while visiting family for the holiday. Thanks, Jayme Lynn!

Historic Sugar Shack

JuddyRating, 5 stars9 months ago
At the entrance to the city we saw some areas that were a little intimidating, but really the surroundings of the house and the nearby parks are very nice, the house is charming, I felt like I was in my own home. I hadn't slept well for days and I had a pleasant dream there. Without a doubt I would return to that cozy house.

Virginia Road Cottage

Susan BrandRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This is a smaller but well laid-out, tidy, not overly-decorated house with comfortable furnishings, a well-stocked kitchen, a good washer and dryer, a small backyard, off-street parking, internet access and streaming services on the living room TV, and quiet neighbors. While the road can be busy at times of day, it is not noisy in the house and tends to be quite quiet most of the time, primarily busy during the morning and evening commute. The house is pet-friendly and there are quiet neighborhoods behind and in front of the house to walk a dog, as well as the small backyard (not fenced). There are several nice touches provided by the owner, like bottled water in the fridge, a variety of coffee and tea pods, and a few treats and a bottle of wine, as well as sample-sized bathroom items. The beds are made and there are extra towels in the bathroom and the kitchen. The charging cords provided do not all seem functional. We have stayed here three times and been happy to return.
