It’s not an Airbnb, it’s truly paradise. Don’t know where to start praising this place, because it is simply wonderful. The house is very well equipped and beautifully decorated - it feels like a home and has so much soul. With the windows open at night you feel like you are sleeping outside, being able to see the stars and sunrise from bed whilst listening to the birds is magical. There’s lots to do: you can go on hikes and swimming in the nearby river directly from the house. The perfect spot to unwind, recharge and just be. Guthrie is an exceptionally welcoming host. It was very hard to leave and we hope to return soon.

The host not only has a beautiful place but is super friendly, easy to engage with and made us the trip, from booking to checking out a pleasant experience. The home is beautiful, much bigger than expected and kids and family friendly. Can't wait to book my next stay there.

Simon is a wonderful host with endless knowledge about history and the local wildlife. Ask him anything, particularly to take you on one of the local walks to see the hidden beauty spots. The cottage we stayed in was peaceful and had all the amenities one needs including a pool of clean river water for cooling off. The valley is stunning and the stars are incredible on a clear night. We felt we had just the right amount of isolation and safety. An exemplary stay, we felt lost in the most desirable way. We hope to return.
