We loved our little jungle home. The place was very special. The beach and water were wonderful for the kids. Ramon and family were also very welcoming. The home got a little hot at night but we adjustment after the first night. Thank you for a wonderful stay

This stay was special in exactly the way we thought it would be. You’re sleeping right in the middle of the jungle, but protected with a net on the bed. You can hear all sorts of animals throughout the night and day which enhances your experience. The restaurant on the grounds is magnificent and has amazing food. Our host Megan was so supportive and proactive with our constant change in travel plans. She also helped setting up a guide to hike the volcano as well as took care of our ferry tickets to come in (we did ourselves for the way back due to last minute changes and it was a huge pain) Overall, if you’re looking to be immersed in nature on an island with several good restaurants and plenty of things to do. This stay is perfectly located for that and offers great value for the price.

A wonderful location with a fantastic view of the volcano. Nolver, who is one of the managers on site, was extremely helpful and efficient. We found a great restaurant within easy walking distance - but take a torch!! A very special place.

Great tiny apartment, very well furnished with a little terrace. The host was very nice and responded quickly. We saw an agouti in the morning and some wildlife around the apartment !

3 Rivers Ecolodge is amazing. The zip lines, the rivers, the natural pools and showers... The food was excellent and Jem has been a wonderful host. I highly recommend!

Casa Colibri makes you feel at home and part of nature! From the birds, butterflies, path to the river and amazing lower terrace and swimming hole, it's simply amazing! Walking distance to Chirripo park and trailhead, Cloudbridge and Talamanca, you are steps away from great hikes, clear mountain rivers and pools, and wildlife everywhere. You will love it!

Our stay at Picaflor was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we could feel the calm and relaxing atmosphere they’ve so thoughtfully created. The space was beautifully designed, and every little detail was carefully considered to ensure a truly comfortable experience. We especially appreciated their commitment to sustainability, which added an extra layer of care and responsibility to our stay. As vegans, they went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary preferences, making us feel right at home. Their attention to detail and genuine hospitality made our stay unforgettable. We had the most enjoyable time. The stay was relaxing, with the air conditioning, after a day in f hiking or snorkeling. I recommend no less than three nights to see everything. Remember the suggestion to bring cash since there are no ATM machines. Using credit card causes a 13% fee at Blakes Bay (which is common due to remoteness).

The place is good, nice and cheap. For the group we were, the price was excellent. The staff gave us incredible attention and were flexible with our arrival time. The place is quiet and you can enjoy sleeping in peace. The weather is very cool during the day and cold at night. An excellent place to stay for a quick visit, with everything you need.

Very nice tucked away little cabin. Good bed and very quiet. Little bit further away from sightseeing spots. But with über, bus and friendly Costa Ricans doable without a car. Hosts are very helpful and even offered driving me to a restaurant on arrival.

It was a really nice place! Totally quiet and relaxing. It's cooler in the mountains, but the warm shower helps. Also the cozy duvet. Also the campfire, which Cindy and Mario made. They gave us a lot of tips, responded quickly and cooked delicious food for us. Breakfast is included and the view is awesome! Thanks again. The pictures are mainly of the restaurant, which is right next door to the two. Unfortunately, it is a bit difficult to get there and we were unlucky that you could not visit the volcano. We got other tips for the area instead.

Mercedes was an incredibly sweet and helpful host, she made us feel right at home from the start. The place itself is peaceful and surrounded by nature, with the sounds of wildlife adding to the relaxing atmosphere. It’s about a 15-minute drive from La Fortuna, and most tours will pick you up directly from the Airbnb, making it super convenient. If you’re looking for a stress-free stay near La Fortuna, I highly recommend this place!

Silvia's place was absolutely wonderful! Deep in a natural setting yet walking distance to any and everything you could need. The hot tub on the balcony was our favorite place to unwind after a long day!

Aqua is a real paradise! From the moment you arrive, I feel connected to nature. My cabin had everything I needed to feel at home. The cleanliness was impeccable, everything was shiny and well kept. Walking to the beach was super easy, arrive in less than six minutes. Definitely I recommend this place, it is full of peace and quiet!

Believe all of the 5-star reviews! Malekus Mountain Lodge is pure magic. We were a family of ten ranging in age from 75 to 11, and couldn’t have asked for a better base for our Costa Rican adventures. Each couple had their own room and bathroom which were very clean and comfortable, even without A/C. Fans were provided in every room and it cooled down considerably at nighttime. The communal space, living room and pool area are amazing, and the gardens, trails, bridges and ponds are absolutely stunning. We couldn’t believe how lucky we were to have the place all to ourselves and experience the hospitality of Roger and Rosie and their dog, Bruno. They were wonderful hosts, providing delicious breakfasts, insights into the flora and fauna, and recommendations for restaurants, activities and guides that truly felt authentic - we were usually the only North Americans around. Being conversational in Spanish is helpful. Rent a 4WD and be ready for adventure!

Amazing place to stay! Super new cabins, nicely decorated, comfy bed, clean, nice bathroom which is part of the cabin, so all for yourself! Ooh and you can open the roof to see the stars! Tasty breakfast included! We also had diner in their restaurant which was super fresh and tasty! We loved it so much that we booked an additional night! Highly recommend to book one of their cabins as it feels like the most comfy place you can book in beautiful Cabo de la Vela!

Very nice and quiet place to rent. It was perfect for me and my friend who wanted peace and quiet but be close to the main. The place was well taken care of, the staff were very nice. Would go back there again!

I absolutely loved my stay here! You are truly out in the jungle, but still have great amenities. And the restaurant was delicious with stunning views.

The area is very quiet and with a lot of nature

It was literally a dream. It's a very calm and peaceful place. There are animals and lots of beautiful flowers and trees. It's a perfect place to get away from the crowds and stress. Felix is ​​an extraordinary person, kind and caring. He even came with me to the village next door because I had a problem with my car. We loved our stay and we'll definitely come back here. Angostura fulfilled what I expected, a quiet place where you could enjoy the peace of the mountain, with the sound of the river and birds. The unparalleled temperature, as you would expect in Manabao at the beginning of the year. Teresa's amenities were exquisite, which allowed us to have a stay for the book. From the meals at their point, to the hot water in the bathroom, everything was as expected.
