Easy Reach Beach

WaseemRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the pictures do not do this place justice, as it is much bigger than the pictures show. The annex was very clean and spotless. Ian & Katka (Hosts) were very proactive, friendly and welcoming and went the extra mile. The swimspa and hot tub are an absolute amazing feature of the property along with the balcony and views. We would highly recommend and would love to visit again.

Beautiful Dartmoor Barn Conversion

TracyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We had a wonderful stay at Bridesmere over New Year and it was just what we needed. Peaceful, beautiful area, lovely comfortable home from home. We appreciated the enclosed garden for our spaniel, the beautiful and spacious bedrooms and the living area which was large enough for all 7 of us, two families. WiFi was strong upstairs so no issue with all of us connected and the tv had all apps we needed to watch films with no buffering. There is a beautiful walk through the forest along the river just minutes from the house which leads to a very nice pub serving good food. As other reviews mention, the kids room smells a little musty/damp but this was not a huge issue and we opened the bathroom window after showering which helped. Kitchen well stocked but knives are a little blunt! Children loved the games barn and not having to bring bikes with us was really helpful and appreciated. Overall we couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay and we would definitely return. Thank you for having us.

Oak Lodge, South View Lodges, Exeter

TamsynRating, 5 stars41 months ago
What an amazing find! Booked for 2 nights to enjoy some Christmas shopping/market in the city with my mum and sister in law. We used the taxi service they recommend in their welcome back who were very friendly and at good price! The lodge was absolutely spotless and beautifully laid out. The beds were so comfy, we all had the best nights sleep! We had one small issue of booking a lodge that had already been booked but Jill was amazing at giving us notice, offering a different lodge at the same price even though the one we stayed in was more expensive. Jill also left some homemade scones and champagne in the lodge on our arrival date for the mix up which was a lovely touch. We were so happy with the change in lodge as we was lucky enough to have the view of the lake which would have definitely been worth the price difference. The hot tub was the best thing to have to relax in with a glass of fizz after a long day walking around the city shopping! We eat at ‘The Terrace’ in town, the food and cocktails was amazing!! I personally would recommend the Toffee Apple Crumple cocktail as my favourite! We also went to the winter wonderland which is a fair ground with lots of choices of food styles and a chance to do some ice skating which none of us was fear enough to do! The city is beautifully decorated with Christmas lights/decorations so even walking through the city you would see a lot of magic and places to shop. About a hour away is Clark’s Village which is amazing for some deals as it’s a outlet retail park which we visited and got some great deals. All in all this is the perfect place to relax as well as being close enough to enjoy all that the city has to offer! We will be returning.

'The Garden Rooms' (with Hot Tub) Dartmoor

JamesRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Simply can not recommend this place enough! The area is fantastic and having the opportunity to relax in a hot tub under the stars is something everyone should experience at some point. The property is in a lovey village with everything in reach. The local food and bar scene are equally amazing with Plymouth not too far away. A lot of culture to fit in, I wish we’d stayed longer. Holls went above and beyond to make us welcome and comfortable. And we will definitely be returning! 10/10.

Sunridge Lodge | Luxury Devon Retreat with Hot Tub

FionaRating, 5 starstoday
We had such a beautiful stay at the lodge. It was so quiet and peaceful (until our kids discovered the hub, and then the peace ended). The lodge is gorgeous, and the hub hosted many a movie night for us. The hot tub was also an added bonus which we loved. Damian was a very helpful host and provided some great local recommendations which we checked out and really enjoyed. We would love to return and stay longer next time.

Cedar Lodge @ Lower Coombe Royal- with Hot Tub

JetRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had such a lovely stay at the lodges, after not very many holidays having 3 young children this was the perfect fit. So much close by - farm park, beaches but also some amazing restaurants too. In the evening when kids are tucked up you can sit under the well styled and beautifully lit and thought out balcony watching the 'nightlife'. It was most certainly the break we needed and one we will remember for a very long time.

Beach Property, Ringmore, Devon

VeraRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We spend a week at Ringmore, but could have easily stayed several weeks due to the lovely atmosphere of the cottage, the village and the attractive surrounding. House and garden are beautiful. You can feel at home instantly. The house is bright and friendly and well equipped. The beautiful surrounding invites to stray around, walk to the beach, enjoy the landscape, walk the coastal path starting from the house at Ayrmer Cove, a small beach with amazing rocks. And have dinner at the Journeys End Inn with a very nice variety of food and of course ales. There are many more things to explore: lovely villages, churches, cathedrals, ports, gardens, museums, estuarys, Dartmoor, great coast ... The host Anna was very nice and gave us lots of information. Thanks a lot for staying at this special place and experiencing a wonderful atmosphere!

Down House Farm - sleeps 10 in farmhouse, Devon

JannaRating, 5 stars5 days ago
A really lovely week, marred only by a couple of days' rain (which of course was nobody's fault!). Taryn was extremely efficient and responsive. Barbara was charming and helpful, and explained so much about the lambing process. The house was roomy - great for a family party of nine. My granddaughter loved visiting the lambs, and even holding a newly-born lamb in her arms. Wonderful rolling hill farmland to walk the dog. Visits to the sea, Exeter and Totnes were great too. Thank you, Barbara and Taryn.

Coastguard Cottage near Salcombe, Hope Cove

We had a lovely few days at Georgina’s cottage. It was extremely clean and comfortable and we felt completely at home. The kitchen was lovely and warm from the aga which was very welcome on a couple of wet days! The bedrooms were all really comfortable too. We enjoyed taking the tractor ferry to Salcombe and going for a run on the coastal path right from the cottage.

Devon Garden B & B

AlanRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Richard and Mo were great hosts and provided us with all the information required to meet our expectations. Richard met us on arrival and it was lovely to have the basics for breakfast provided for each morning, which was an added surprise and very welcomed. This facility was perfect for my wife as she has mobility issues, and the Airbnb is all on one level with walk-in shower, so made moving around was made so much easier. We would highly recommend staying here, and will look to rebook for our next visit to Devon.

Brook Lodge

BeverleyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
I have visited Alison's lodges now several times as the location is just absolutely stunning, it's dog friendly and the lodges themselves are beautiful, cosy and well equipped. The sound of the babbling brook at Brook Lodge as I fell asleep at night was so peaceful. It's so easy to access beautiful walks very close, including within the grounds themselves, and you can also hop in the car and go a bit further afield. Alison is very thoughtful and flexible and I could not recommend this stay more. It is a little bit of peace!

The Osborne Apartments - Apt 38 - 3 Bedrooms

MandeepRating, 5 stars45 months ago
We stayed in apartment 38 for a week in July 2021. It exceeded my expectations and the pictures do not do it justice (the pictures make it look a bit dated but it really isn’t). It is a lovely 3 bed apartment - very clean throughout. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor and the stairs lead up to the living area and kitchen! The kitchen comes with a fridge, dishwasher, cooker and oven. You also get all your basic cooking utensils and dishes alongside cleaning products including dishwasher tablets. One thing I would suggest is taking some tupperware to store your food in or if you want to make a picnic. The description also stated they provided cooking oil - but there wasn’t any - so it’s worth taking some if you want to make a full english in the morning. We ordered a Tesco online shop which was delivered straight to the apartment without any problems. Note, the pools (indoor and outdoor) are not heated so can be quite cold. The indoor pool area is a bit tired looking with the paint peeling off the floor - but the kids still had a fab time. The gym is also well equipped with weight and cardio machines…but again some of the padding on the machines are a bit worn. Overall we had a fab time, the views are amazing. Meadfoot beach is literally on the doorstep and the town is only a 15min walk away. Paignton beach (10min drive) is great for the kids if you want a bit more hustle and bustle i.e. Pier with arcades and fairground. Also recommend The Inn on the Green for lovely pub grub - they are directly opposite the Paignton pier and the staff were fab too.

Beachside 3 Bed Apt with Heated Pool, Thurlestone

JenniferRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We really enjoyed our stay at Thurlstone. The apartment was ideally located on the beach making it easy for easy beach fun for the kids. They went rockpooling, swimming and made sandcastles every day. We enjoyed the views of the sunset while having dinner and drinks on the balcony. The flat was bright and spacious. We felt safe and had a comfortable stay with everything that a family of five would need. Our host was responsive, accommodating and friendly. We would stay again in a heartbeat :)

The Manor House at Stancombe

LettieRating, 5 stars9 months ago
We loved our stay at the house. It was perfect for our two families to stay in. The house was so homely and lots of lovely extra touches of flowers, biscuits and wine were really thoughtful. The facilities on site were brilliant: the pool was fabulous; play room much enjoyed by our children of various ages; and the tennis court looked wonderful although we ran out of time to use it - a good excuse to book a return visit!

Rose Cottage, Cary Arms & Spa

VickiRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had such a wonderful stay. The house was larger and more beautiful than I expected - much better than the lovely pictures. Really thoughtful amenities and touches. The staff at the hotel could not have been more welcoming or accommodating and similarly with all communication via Airbnb. The food at the Cary Arms Hotel was excellent and a stones throw from the house. Beautiful beach, breathtaking views, lovely home and a short walk from local restaurants and shops. We wished we had booked for longer. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Mullen at Pitt Farm

MargaretRating, 5 stars16 months ago
We stayed over the Christmas week. It’s always a worry as to whether there will be sharp knives, enough trays while cooking Christmas dinner etc but I need not have worried as there was everything we could possibly have wanted. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and all items were clean, good quality and plentiful. The whole property was very comfortable, warm and spacious. Outside areas were accessed by the grandchildren, they enjoyed a daily swim. The system for booking is excellent. We managed to have a brief game on the tennis court and the children had a little time in the play hut and on the equipment. The zip line was a real hit. It would be lovely to be able to return when the weather would allow more use of the great outdoor facilities. Laura and Richard are great hosts. Brilliant communication prior to arriving. A great in person welcome too on arrival. We hope to return and can highly recommend Mullen at Pitt farm
