Waterfront vacation rentals in Brixham

We stayed in apartment 38 for a week in July 2021. It exceeded my expectations and the pictures do not do it justice (the pictures make it look a bit dated but it really isn’t). It is a lovely 3 bed apartment - very clean throughout. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor and the stairs lead up to the living area and kitchen! The kitchen comes with a fridge, dishwasher, cooker and oven. You also get all your basic cooking utensils and dishes alongside cleaning products including dishwasher tablets. One thing I would suggest is taking some tupperware to store your food in or if you want to make a picnic. The description also stated they provided cooking oil - but there wasn’t any - so it’s worth taking some if you want to make a full english in the morning. We ordered a Tesco online shop which was delivered straight to the apartment without any problems. Note, the pools (indoor and outdoor) are not heated so can be quite cold. The indoor pool area is a bit tired looking with the paint peeling off the floor - but the kids still had a fab time. The gym is also well equipped with weight and cardio machines…but again some of the padding on the machines are a bit worn. Overall we had a fab time, the views are amazing. Meadfoot beach is literally on the doorstep and the town is only a 15min walk away. Paignton beach (10min drive) is great for the kids if you want a bit more hustle and bustle i.e. Pier with arcades and fairground. Also recommend The Inn on the Green for lovely pub grub - they are directly opposite the Paignton pier and the staff were fab too.

Hubby & I had a really relaxing long weekend. The apartment was so lovely & warm & cosy and I loved reading my books sitting on the window seat, looking out over the causeway. The apartment was extremely clean and it had everything that you could possibly need & it really felt like "home from home". This is a place to "switch off" from the world in peaceful surroundings. We didn't get to use the pool or the gym this time but they were extremely inviting. The whole complex is quiet & peaceful and with direct private access to the beach & café it's a "real little gem". The outlook across the causeway is incredible and I was completely spell bound by watching the waves and currents swish and swirl around. Even though our weekend was at the time of server gales & rain & even sleet, we were toasty, warm and comfortable. The café was really great to eat in as well. Our host was always available via messaging if we needed anything & the tv reception and Wifi was great. 100% we will return!

Seascape is a prefectly located, immaculate and very well appointed apartment. Our expectations were high following the descriptions of the accomodation and these were met in full. Thanks to the owners for ensuring it was very clean and welcoming on our arrival.

This was a lovely and very clean apartment with a beautiful view of Shaldon harbour, we really enjoyed our stay and would have stayed even longer if it hadn’t been fully booked! We’d love to stay again.

Dawn & Richard were fantastic hosts. The accommodation was fantastic and spotless. Bed was very comfortable with great blinds to block out the light and the bathroom was lovely and clean. Couldn’t fault anything would definitely return.

I made a last minute booking due to having an urgent meeting in the area the following day. Tina was responsive and got me booked in quickly. The place is right on the seafront with amazing views, you also get your own parking space. I arrived at the place around 9pm and left by 8am

This was a first class stay. The studio was spotless, comfy and well-equipped. There was a lovely extra touch of home made chocolates on arrival. The host was very helpful, friendly and unobtrusive. Recommend!

This apartment is in a wonderful position with amazing views of the harbour. Walking into the flat the view was a real wow factor after a slightly delayed start to our trip and a wet journey. We have quite a large vehicle so didn't find the dropping off of the bags too easy but the hosts gave clear instructions on where to park and we had no problem finding a space (maybe because it was a wet November). The flat itself was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was super comfy too. It was our first time staying in Brixham so weren't sure what to expect however we were very pleasantly surprised! As it turned out we were lucky enough to be there for the delayed Lights and Lanterns Christmas event which was a special bonus. We would highly recommend this property.

Helen’s places was one of the most comfortable and well equipped places I have stayed in. A short distance from the costal path and within walking distance of Brixham harbour. I would highly recommend it.

Loved all the Christmas touches to make our stay even more magical. House was fully equipped with everything we needed. Location is perfect, thank you so much for letting us stay.

fabulous location. Even had a wonderful Christmas tree and hamper of goodies waiting for us upon arrival. Had a lovely time as a family. Would recommend this cottage to others.

Absolutely wonderful time in this beautiful house. Surroundings were stunning and we enjoyed the local pub, (The Globe) dog walks around Frogmore and visiting nearby Salcombe and Kingsbridge. We hired the whole house for 14 of us aged 9 years to 93 years of age and it was perfect for everyone. The customised artwork brings so much character to the house and ties in beautifully with the surrounding nature. We are planning our next visit!

What a fantastic start to 2025! Shaldon was a great place for us to get together as a large group (3 families) to spend some time relaxing before the start of school and work after Christmas. The house is amazing, a great space, with everything you might need for a break. No need to drive once you have parked up, great walks on your doorstep, cafes, pubs, restaurants etc. We really enjoyed catching the ferry over to Teignmouth for a mooch around the shops. Would highly recommend.

Jackie was a magnificent host and the accommodation was beautiful. We had everything we needed and more. Jackie went out of her way to welcome us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 5 stars across the board from us.

Emilie's apartment is perfect! It's homely, comfortable, spacious, intricately designed, beautifully decorated and in an excellent location. It even has a shop directly opposite! Emilie also allowed us to stay an hour and 15 minutes after check in time so we could shower after parkrun! We all had an amazing time at Emilie's place and all would love to stay there again in the future. Thank you so much for so many beautiful memories!

The house is so lovely, and the surrounding area and views were picturesque. The cleaner was kind and thoughtful and left us a little note with some biscuits and milk, so we could have a much needed cuppa after our very long drive. Plus there were many leaflets suggesting places to visit. Thank you

Without a doubt, one of the most beautiful AirBnBs we have had the pleasure of staying in. From beginning to end communication was excellent. We could not fault this beautiful apartment. It was absolutely stunning. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. The nautical themed and country decor was fresh and very tasteful. The beds were super comfortable and the bathrooms pristine. The location was gorgeous and very picturesque, looking out over the harbor. We had quite wild weather ( to be expected in Winter ) but I could imagine it would be gorgeous in Summer. Sarah was an absolute delight and perfect host. The thoughtful hamper and beautifully written card were very personal touches. I hope we can return one day. Thank you Sarah.

We had a really lovely short break, the situation helped to make it special, so close to the sea and to our favourite restaurants. We thoroughly recommend The Beach and Rockfish for good food, and La Mar for a special treat. The apartment was beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean and equipped with everything we needed, even down to beach towels. The bed was supremely comfortable, there is a good shower and my husband says the television was easier to navigate than most in rental properties. Thank you Julie, we hope to return next year sometime to take full advantage of the beach towels!

We stayed at Ashley's beautiful Captain's Rest for the second time. The location is absolutely perfect with everything within walking distance, close to amenties, restaurants, parking and plenty of places to explore. The property really is a home from home with lots of added extras that help to make your stay a delight. Captain's Rest is beautifully decorated, clean and tidy and perfect for all the family. I stayed with my family (including two children, aged 12 and 4) and we had more than enough space to relax between adventures around Brixham. Thank you so much for having us a second time, we will be back!

Great place. Second time staying here with my elderly father for Christmas. Was spotlessly clean with all the kitchen etc utensils needed. The scones, jam and clotted cream was a nice touch as we're the Christmas decorations. Arranged to check-in early at 4pm on Christmas eve. Is about a 15 minute walk from Exmouth station plus is on street parking (parking permit provided by host if needed). Very easy access to seafront/estuary mouth and small marina. Is also a pub opposite (not noisy) that does good food. Are a couple of mini-mart style shops about 400yards away. Exmouth centre a 15 minute walk. Would recommend

A lovely apartment with big windows in the open plan living room/kitchen. The bathrooms were spacious and bedrooms a good size too. You’re right in town so can step straight out the door and get to shops or beach instantly. The train station was also only 5 mins walk away so good access to Exeter. Our only issue was confusion over the number of beds listed/pictured vs the number of beds there were. We asked after arrival and they did set up an extra bed for us no problem but worth noting unless you ask there won’t be the full number of beds mentioned on listing
