Monthly Rentals in Bird Rock, San Diego

My husband and I rent Airbnbs fairly often, and this was one of our favorites! It wasn't overly cluttered, but it was enough so that it didn't look bare. The small touches were the best part. We were super excited to find a heated bidet in the master. We used the hot tub daily after walking and hiking the area. Some things we did WITHOUT driving: walked to the end of Mission Beach while shopping and eating then caught an Uber back to the house, ate at the taco spot one block over on days we didn't want to go out, ate dinners at Beaumont's and Wheat and Water, had a few drinks at the local watering hole, West End, and rented e-bikes at Petigo and rode around all afternoon. We rented a car but only used it one day to go to the zoo and the day we arrived to visit the Maritime Museum. After this trip, we decided to return and rent the same house. It was in such a perfect location, and everything about the house fit our needs.

Beautiful place in a beautiful location, Jeff was responsive and friendly. We loved our stay and absolutely would stay again. It is only a few blocks to the beach which is great for morning walks or watching the sunset, also walkable to La Jolla cove and not far from many other great places to visit.

Alexander is a wonderful host. He greeted us and showed us where everything was and how it worked. He also came personally to show me how to work things if I couldn’t figure it out myself. The location is perfect. Steps to the beach and restaurants, but just away enough that it is quiet and parking isn’t a problem. The neighbors are very friendly and made us feel right at home. We hate to leave. Alexander was very kind and let us check out late for our needs. I will come back here again. Thank you Alexander!

This was a wonderful stay while I remote worked and surfed! The 1 bedroom apartment has everything you need for an easy stay. I loved the light-filled living room with high ceilings. Spencer and Trish were perfect hosts too. I'd definitely return! One thing to keep in mind is that the place is on a higher-use street, so there is some road noise, especially if you have the windows open. The road noise wasn't audible from the bedroom though. The wifi worked great—one tip is if it's acting up, hit the reset button on the router instead of just unplugging/plugging it back in. Thanks so much for hosting, Spencer and Trish!
