Beach house vacation rentals in Big Sur

We had a spectacular visit to Coppers Nest. The house is a marvel from the second to walk the boardwalk to their stairs, and the interior is thoughtful and very well appointed. The complex is quintessential California, with unique architecture, gorgeous flora and fauna, plenty of amenities (pickleball, tennis, bball courts, bocce, etc), all with the constant and soothing pounding of waves and ocean views at every turn. Bryan and Erin were terrific hosts, making sure we had everything we needed while never feeling overwhelmed. Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a Monterey Bay vacation.

We never wanted to leave! beautiful place, extremely gorgeous surroundings, lots to do nearby, great recommendations from Stefan and all the guests felt like they had the best room. I loved how pelicans would fly by right at eye level, we could pop down the beach in less than a minute, I could look out and see the endless ocean from almost any room, the kitchen was big and bright, and I even saw some whales migrating north!!

I spend a lot of time in the area and the accomodations at this beach house were superior! Will definitely return. Very nice home.

We LOVED our stay at Evan’s place. Exactly as described. We took advantage of all the things including a dry sauna, a hot tub and the bikes. I was able to even get in a day surfing. I brought my own wetsuit, and borrowed a board. My 3 year old referred to it as our “vacation house”. We will absolutely be coming back.

Clean, well-appointed, spacious home less than a block from the beautiful Twin Lakes Beach. You can see the beach from chairs on the front lawn. We were lucky enough to be there during the lighted boat parade (first Saturday in December), so we watched the lighted boats in the water from the front yard. Everything was easily accessible. The home includes many amenities (washer/dryer, cooking supplies, games, pack n play). The room with the bunk beds has a separate bathroom, making it really nice for families with older kids. Great stay and I hope we can return.

My family and I stayed here during spring break and it was wonderful! It was a short walk down to the quiet beach where our son played for hours. The sundeck was great all day and night, and we could hear the seals in the morning from it! It was a short drive to the boardwalk too. This house was amazing and we would definitely stay there again!

My children and I loved our stay. It was cozy and the beds were so great to sleep in as well as linens. We loved it! Felt like home. Another plus, were the washers and dryers available to use. We stayed longer than a week and it made it easier and faster to do laundry with 2 washers and dryers available. Amber was very prompt at responding and fixing a couple of issues I encountered during our stay. I would definitely recommend and come back.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home. I loved hearing the waves at night. The house was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely recommend it and I would stay here again. The property is beautiful and close to restaurants, shops, and great walking trails.

The place was very clean, comfortable and well located to do lots of fun stuff, near the village/ downtown and near a great walking / view area at Los lobos, as well as 17 mile drive.

Dania’s home was lovely! It was a wonderful place for a relaxing weekend away. It’s about a 15-20 minute drive into town from the home. The drive to and from town goes fast and is well worth the isolation and peace you get at the home. If you are a light sleeper you may want to bring an eye mask as the wonderful windows let in lots of wonderful natural light!

It's a lovely place and a beautiful house! The house was clean and exactly as described. The beach and a playground are a 3-minute walk from the house, well-suited for our three-year-old. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood. The picturesque Bluff Trail is a walk or a short drive, just a few blocks down the road. A 15-minute drive to Elephant Seal Vista Point! We loved the place and would stay here again.

The condo was great. We had an issue with the master bathroom shower but Bjorn took care of it right away the same day that it was noticed. The location of this condo is perfect. Right on the ocean and within walking distance for dining, shopping, and several things to do on the ocean. Would recommend this condo to anyone.

We have been coming to Pajaro Dunes for 37 years. Our family loves it. This house needs some attending to. In one of the downstairs showers, the soap dish on the wall was broken. You need to be VERY VERY careful. My nephew cut his thumb and needed to get stitches. I was told I could check in before the rain started, but the office hadn't unlocked the house on their end. I had to drive back to the check in office and ended up getting wet while unpacking the car. Not the end of the world, but a little irritating. It took quite awhile to figure out the space heaters, some did not work. Kitchen pots and pans need updating - bring your own!! We had a great time and lots of great memories continue for our family.

Our family had a great time staying here! The condo was beautiful, clean, spacious and stocked with all the supplies we needed! The bedrooms were comfortable and clean with plenty of space, the kitchen was great and we appreciated the coffee bar and pans for cooking. The living room is a fun place to chill and the condo is super close to the pool and tennis courts and the beach! Vincent was friendly and easy to communicate with and check in and check out was very easy. Hoping to stay again in the future!

Wonderful place and host. The place and views was spectacular and maintained very well. Beds and amenities were very comfortable. Crystal was amazing and super helpful and went out of the way in helping us. Will most definitely repeat.

Bird’s Eye View was a beautiful and serene place for my family’s vacation. Spacious, clean, comfortable and close to all the great things Cambria has to offer. Their pet-friendly policies (and town!) made it easy for us to include our pups in this wonderful vacation and we all had a great time. Breen was quick to respond to all my questions and was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this host and rental! If you’re looking for a great place to get away from it all, you’ve found it. Loved our stay and the proximity to the beach was the best. 5 min walk and beach was great. House was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was great to cook in and bbq too. Highly recommend. Loved our time in Monterey exploring Pacific Grove and Carmel and pebble beach.

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay with our family. The house was stocked with everything we could needed. The beds were very comfortable and our family loved the space and pool room. We loved hearing the frogs at night. We bought chairs and a table for the beach.

The house is absolutely amazing. It’s a short drive to restaurants and shops. The walk to the beach is only a couple of minutes. The ambiance of the house is warm and cozy. So many amenities were available including the indoor fireplace, the outdoor grill and fire pit, as well as bikes for the family. The outdoor space is perfect for dining. Even though it was a bit cold, the outdoor heater made it warm enough to stay outside at night. The host was extremely helpful and welcoming. Absolutely loved the house and we really hope to come again.

This was the perfect house for our family. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfy. The living room on the top floor had amazing views of the ocean. Would highly recommend for a family getaway.

A dream beach house ! we had so much fun at the house on the beach and all over pismo. Ideal beach house that you can tell was very loved with lots of character.

This Airbnb met and exceeded all of our expectations! We came for an organization retreat and fully used the property, its amenities, and its ideal location. Would rate this at 11/10 if we could, and would recommend any family or group of friends to book this place as it allowed us to spend meaningful time with each other. Having the beach just steps away was amazing!

Andrew was a great host who was responsive and proactive. The space was comfortable, quiet and within walking distance of the ocean. The king sized bed was comfortable. There is a small kitenette with a mini-fridge. Parking is on the street in front of the unit. We were very happy with our stay and highly recommend this for your visit to Santa Cruz!
