Vacation rentals with breakfast in Ayrshire

Lovely atmosphere in the house with piano being played in the background and an ethical ecological attitude to everything in the home. Alice was friendly and helpful, despite not feeling very well on one of the days.

Scott’s place was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very welcoming - and Scott himself was so warm and welcoming too, right from showing us around the flat, providing useful suggestions for eating and visiting places, and generously including breakfast fare as part of the booking. The flat was warm, comfortable and we had no issues during our stay, and Scott was available on chat to help out with any queries. The house is well located just a stone’s throw from the Water of Leith, and within walking distance of Leith’s very many eateries and cafés. The tram runs to the city centre from 4-5 min away, and the bus runs literally from next to the place - and both take around 20 min to get there. There is an Aldi also a minute away in case you need a snack or want to cook etc. On the whole, we had a wonderful experience at Scott’s and our Edinburgh trip was made better by staying there. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful stay. My husband a i really loved the hot tub underneath the stars. It was so relaxing to use each night after our 9 month went to sleep. I also really liked the large tub in the bathroom that made for relaxing soaks each day, especially while hearing faint sounds of seagulls and wind blowing through the trees outside. Our 9 month old loved the living room and climbing around our bed in the bedroom. Alex even had a crib for us! Our continental breakfast was also a really nice touch. And, Alex put up happy birthday banner and balloons before we arrived since it was my birthday weekend. It was a lovely surprise! Highly recommend staying here if you get a chance.

Patricia was so helpful and kind during my stay! She provided a map of the city, easy transportation instructions, and recommended some local spots to check out. Really enjoyed my comfortable stay and our kitchen chats :)

This was such a special visit. Karen’s home is beautiful and inspiring. Karen was so friendly and she went out of her way to help me. I would have loved to have stayed longer. And yes, her breakfast is delicious.

Our second stay at Joe’s property was as great as our first. The house is incredibly well equipped and furnished. We are a family of 5 and the house was a prefect size for us all. We really do feel it is a home rather than just accommodation. Joe is always reachable and happy to help. Many thanks to Joe once again for making our stay so welcoming and comfortable (the Christmas tree was a lovely touch!)

Marie's place was perfect for us. It was cozy, equipped with everything we needed, and clean. Marie was super responsive, accommodating, and gave helpful recommendations. The Airbnb is a little outside the city center but the bus system is very easy to navigate. I would 100% recommend this place, especially for groups or larger families because the setup is perfect.

Excellent base for a stay in Edinburgh. Sheila has great attention to detail, and made my stay very enjoyable: quiet and comfortable with the attractive neighbourhood of the Union canal and the City centre so easy to reach.

Very enjoyable stay. The location was great, walking distance to all key tourist spots. Great restaurants, bars and coffee shops close by. The apartment was very comfortable with all amenities required (even more valued as we there the weekend of Storm Éowyn). Emily was a great host - very responsive, flexible and accommodating.

We loved the apartment and the location. We had a beautiful view from the living room and kitchen areas. The neighborhood has great restaurants and is very walkable. We walked to the train station for the Edinburgh train, and it was super easy to get around. I highly recommend Julie’s place.

Had a lovely stay at Luke and AnnaMarie's place in Moffat. The place was really comfortable and cosy (loved the Aga and the sauna!) and quiet. We stayed for 6 days doing walks nearby and for this the place was perfect. Would recommend!

Booked this AirBnB for my parents to stay at that were coming up to Scotland for the weekend, Margaret was very helpful and made the stay easy and stress free, would highly recommend and definitely book again in the future!

Excellent stay. Mairi’s property is in an excellent location close to the town centre with beautiful views out to the harbour and the town. Beautifully decorated throughout with a very modern kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher. Lovely touch of milk bread eggs and bacon in the fridge for breakfast and a good variety of cereals in the cupboard. Would definitely recommend this flat and hope to visit again soon.

The house is in Baberton, which is perfect location if you want to combine Edinburgh with its surroundings. It takes only 30 mins by bus to get to the city centre. And if you want to drive out of the city, you are just minute’s drive from the highway. Steven and Gillian provided very useful tips about the local sightseeing and they were always very helpful for any question which we had. Their manual in the house is very detailed and provided us with all necessary info as well. We really appreciated the work they put into it. Btw thank you so much for the tip to visit Pentland Hills Regional park - it is really beautiful! We very much appreciated the equipment in the house - the full equipped kitchen, the starter food (toast bread, butter, marmelade, milk and cornflakes, but also oil, coffee, tea, sugar and basic seasoning). Although I knew it from the description and also other reviews, the house is in fact very small. But everything else will compensate for that. The privacy is TOP

An extremely spacious main door apartment in a great location. Well appointed kitchen, very comfortable beds, good bathrooms and comfortable lounge and snug. A bonus was a Christmas tree and some decorations 🎄 Walkable to shops, cafe, restaurant and train station is a few minutes away, just one stop to Glasgow Central station. Lesley, the host, was easy to communicate with and very responsive to any questions during our stay. Highly recommend this property.

After a hectic two days in Edinburgh, two nights here were just what the doctor ordered. The guesthouse is located in beautiful grounds where it was peaceful. Check in was fantastic, all information regarding the room and local facilities was much appreciated. All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very well equipped. Breakfast was delicious and we never went without. We will definitely return to this fantastic little find!

A lovely traditional B & B with a clean and tidy room. An excellent and attentive host. A fantastic breakfast. An easy walk to town. What’s not to like? Highly recommended.

I have no words to describe how wonderful it was to stay in this apartment. Katrina is one of the most beloved people I've met! She provided us with all the amenities one could only dream of. Not to mention the large selection of breakfasts. Food products are also replenished daily. Clean, tidy, and there's a Smart TV, which is always a very important element for me. Katrina is also a wonderful companion of conversations, we felt very comfortable with her. The house is also charming, very friendly (and how sweet!!!!!!) the dog. I will recommend to anyone who asks me where to rent a room in Edinburgh. I just wish you could give more stars. I never felt better renting an Airbnb anywhere else. If I go back to this city, it's only to Katrina. Thank you so much for everything!

I have stayed at David’s a few times and once again he was an excellent host. A top recommendation for anyone staying in Belfast. Will be back again on my next trip!

I couldn’t have dreamed of a better place to arrive than at Jennifer’s. Not only are her home and surroundings beautiful and inspiring, but it’s truly Jennifer’s kindness and warmth that made this stay so special. Thank you for everything—I will never forget these few days spent facing Kerrera. The only problem I had was that I didn’t want to leave. For me, this is what true luxury is.
