Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Ashe County

We had a fantastic stay at Melinda’s home! It was clean and she was easy to communicate with.

I stayed at Eustace's "Stonehenge" cabin in Boone during the time I volunteered with a disaster relief organization after the Helene hurricane flooding. After long days of shoveling mud and tearing out wet drywall and insulation at work sites, returning to the cabin was a pleasant, quiet, and restful break. I loved the live edge wood work in the cabin, there was a warm gas heater and a wood burning fireplace. I also appreciated the convenience of the washing machine and dryer so I could clean my work clothes every day. Every evening, I'd sit on the back porch swing facing the wooded hills and re-set my mind after a hard day. I will be returning. I highly recommend Stonehenge.

What a peaceful and cozy place to stay! We wished to have a few more days in our trip. Maria was a great host and the stay was perfect. The house is close to Jefferson and West Jefferson for food and shopping. We went over to cut our Christmas tree to bring home during our stay. Maybe Spring break next time?

Amazing hosts and amazing home for our large family to stay together! This is second visit with them and we will be back!! The walkout basement space was impacted during the storm but with the hard work of the hosts and almost 70 volunteers they were able to restore it to allow our family to use it! Our daughter and her 8 bridesmaids all had make up and hair done upstairs and got dressed downstairs yet there was still enough space! We enjoyed the deck to watch the sunrise, enjoy the cool weather and enjoy the time together! Stacy was always very communicative as to the progress of the house to help soothe our nerves and help us make decisions if we needed to pivot away from original plans but thankfully we didn't have to do any pivots!! Thank you again for ALL your hard work!! The house was amazing!!

The pictures do not do this property justice….the home & landscaping are awesome! It was too cold & windy for us to spend much time outside but that swing sure looked inviting, lol. And those who ventured to go out loved the hot tub! We booked Michael’s place bc our daughter’s birthday fell on Thanksgiving this year and having the double ovens, along with many pots & pans to cook with definitely made that task doable! One thing I wanted to share bc it’s usually important for our group when we travel, is the bedroom locations. Bedroom 1 is the only one located on the lower level. Bathroom is unattached. Bedroom 3 is the primary on the main level, with an attached primary bathroom. Main level also has a half bathroom. Bedroom 2 & bedroom 4 (bunk room) are on the upper level. Upper level tended to be a little cold for us while sleeping, but again, it was super cold & windy during our stay. And running the main level fireplace forced that hot air upstairs. We had a great & relaxing stay!

There were 6 of us that stayed and everyone was very pleased with the home. It was clean, roomy and close to town. One person walked in and said, this feels like home. The kitchen was nicely stocked with some condiments, spices etc and there was plenty of dish ware, pans etc. we all agreed we would stay again. Susan was very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this home

What an epic place. Peaceful, surrounded by rolling hills, this is a perfect spot for those needing a break from the hustle of life. They provide a fully equipped kitchen and every amenity you’d need. Great place to bring the family.

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was very clean, comfortable and cozy. Marta is a great host. She provided more amenities than any other place we have rented. Also, she checked with us during the week to make sure we didn’t need anything. We plan to stay here again when we are back in the area.

Our favorite thing about the house is the large firepit and the covered porch. We always bring an extra TV and my son and husband spend much of the time watching the Labor Day Weekend college football games on the porch. I love to sit at the firepit and people watch and car watch the traffic heading to Main Street.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the hibernation station. It is a very cozy, clean condo and we felt right at home. We didn’t anticipate how walkable it was! The kids loved being able to walk to the playground and to the sledding hill. Without little kids, I could also have walked to some of the local restaurants. The kids LOVED the pool, spa, and game room. We will definitely be back!

Lynn is a wonderful host who even let our dogs out while we were away. the apartment is small but functional and the backyard is amazing. will stay again!!

My husband and I wanted a quick weekend getaway for an anniversary weekend. Ken’s place was perfect with perfect location. Would also be great for 2 couples. Lots of shopping and places to eat all within walking distance. Street parking was a little crazy when we arrived due to holiday shoppers, so we had to walk a few blocks to unload. Once stores closed, it was easy to move the car to right in front of apartment. We loved the town and Ken’s place. Would definitely recommend and return!

Lovely stay. So cozy and perfect place to stay when going to Beech. Super clean and homey. Beautiful view of resort also !

Brenda was so great! She was so helpful and proactive. The condo was really nice and cozy! I felt right at home. The building has a convenience store in the lobby and a restaurant on the second floor plus there were shuttles to help get around the area so it was an awesome place to stay!

Third time staying here. Awesome accommodations and perfect location for visiting West Jefferson. Highly recommend.

Sherrye’s place is a hidden gem that is perfect for a relaxing weekend in the mountains! It’s a short drive away from Grandfather Mountain and Boone, which is where we went during our stay. It has the perfect blend of accessibility to nearby attractions while also being a private, cozy getaway. The room was pristine and nicely decorated. The owner was thoughtful by having a full Brita, tea bags, and local jarred honey in the room, among other things. The layout of the space is innovative and fits everything in without feeling cramped. The couch bed was surprisingly comfortable and spacious as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to others!

Had a wonderful time enjoying the views from the back deck. Can’t wait to come back in the summer and use the pool. Was perfect for our group of friends and family.

Awesome Stay, Great Host, we would definitely return again and plan on it. So close to the resort and to other things to do. 10/10

Ron and Martha were the perfect hosts for our family's Thanksgiving weekend. The house is stunning and the views breathtaking. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen which provided everything new needed to cook all weekend. Ron and Martha provided detailed directions and instructions for our arrival and parking and were super responsive to our questions. We look forward to being able to stay here again!
