Monthly Rentals in Arco da Calheta

We stayed 7 days in this accommodation and felt totally comfortable. Renata welcomed us in a friendly way and showed us everything. However, self-check-in would also be possible. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures and has a good location because you can easily drive to all the sightseeing spots on the island from there. However, you definitely need a car as it is very high up on the mountain. A supermarket is about 10 minutes by car. Renata and Filip inquired several times whether everything was OK with us or whether we needed anything else. We enjoyed it very much and we would come back anytime.

Shortly before arrival, the host organized a What's app group and gave a lot of information about the accommodation, check-in/out, area/activities, etc. The reception was very friendly and warm, the accommodation corresponded to the descriptions and photos and was impeccably clean and well maintained. Through a large window you have an unobstructed view of the ocean from the bed, the bananas hang right next to the terrace by the tree and on request there are fresh fruits in the accommodation. After a day of hiking, you can relax in the jacuzzi on your own terrace. Thank you to the entire team at Torre Bella Gardens, we enjoyed our time with you. We highly recommend Torre Bella Gardens

Two friends and I stayed at the Banana Tree for a week of cycling in Madeira. It was a great jumping-off point for our rides, and we found the location was great. It was a short drive to good restaurants and the beach. Like most of Madeira outside of Funcahl, it is not particularly walkable, but the view and peacefulness made up for it. The house was a great size for 3 people, and the outdoor space is wonderful. Very clean and well-appointed kitchen, toilettries and linens. Stay in Funchal if you want nightlife but Calheta was great for relaxing and getting to hikes/bikes. The only negative thing was that the wifi didn't work great upstairs but did work well downstairs but that is frankly reaching for something constructive to say. What communication we had with Corinne and her neighbour Lucy was easy and responsive but we didn't need much from them as our stay was so smooth and written communication of house rules and procedures are very clear already.

Fatima was a great host and always responsive. She gave us lots of eggs , bananas etc which was appreciated. Villa was very clean and spacious. We also had access to her garden for things like fresh chillis , onions etc which was great.
