Earth house vacation rentals in Alajuela Province

We absolutely loved our stay at this peaceful and beautiful hobbit house. Virgilio, Amy and Brandon were incredible hosts, probably the best Airbnb hosts I've experienced. Virgilio gave a tour of hus beautiful property upon arrival, and Amy baked us delicious banana bread. The house is so comfortable and homey. We slept great and woke up to birds chriping and the lovely scenery outside. It's a great place to stay for your Monteverde adventures. Highly recommend!!!!

We absolutely loved this stay as a destination in itself! It was great to be able to hear and see so many birds in the morning, and enjoy all the attention and care put into building this remarkable studio space. Really a treat, probably my favourite airbnb ever!

Angelica is the best host!! Her place is very authentic and she goes out of her way to make sure you have the best vacation. The breakfast every morning is amazing and she shares great stories and advice. She went out of her way to make us breakfast that we could take in the car when we had to leave early in the morning some days. She provided good local recommendations of things to do and places to eat. From her recommendations we did the chocolate tour, Las Hornillas, Miravalles, and Rio Celeste. She also recommended two sodas to eat at in the town near by that were great (Volcano and Sotavento). We could not imagine our trip without Angelica <3

The place was beautiful and had everything we needed and more for a few nights in La Fortuna. Great location by being near everything you'd want to do in La Fortuna, while feeling private and peaceful, located within trees and above a stream. The gym was a nice bonus that we also enjoyed using. David was an excellent host - very friendly, communicative, and responsive about everything. I would recommend staying here.

We feel so blessed to have experienced Kristopher and Marie’s one-of-a-kind Airbnb accommodation. It is thoughtfully curated for those who are seeking an authentic experience nestled amongst Monteverde’s symbolic cloud forest. From the moment we arrived, they spared no expense in making us feel right at home by explaining all the features and amenities, providing us with a reservoir of information on local activities and for always being accessible. The inclusive daily breakfast was deliciously unforgettable, especially the homemade sourdough avocado toast and açaí bowl. We slept like babies every night and relished the breathtaking views. Marie also offers a morning yoga class which was the perfect way to start off the day. We genuinely enjoyed every second and would highly recommend to anyone who wants to be immersed with nature.

we didn't end up staying at Ria's place because our flight was cancelled. She was, however, very responsive and helpful before our booking and during the flight debacle.

Our La Fortuna stay @ Rainforest Wellness Villa #2 was nothing short of magical ! The space was well appointed, the outdoor shower sooo enjoyable and the private hot tub did not disappoint. The hosts are super responsive & the location ideal. Thank you Thank you for adding to our wonderful Costa Rican experience 🙏🏼❤️ We would definitely return & stay again- Pura Vida!!

Fantastic way to end the celebration of 40 years of marriage. The Hobbit House was just like Tolkien would have wanted it!!

The setup is very cute! The Rio Celeste is a super short walk from the Airbnb. It felt like a private sanctuary in nature. All to ourselves. Loved it!
