They gave us so many great recommendations and were always very responsive. We loved how close it was to the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve and how unique the property was. Juan Carlos did a great job with his place. I've never stayed in an eco-friendly house before and this was an unforgettable experience. I stayed in a glamping dome later in my trip and it was nothing compared to the love and care Juan Carlos put into his house. There's a book with artistic drawings from past renters that truly captures the essence of this property. Enjoy!

Kris and Marie have built a very special place in Monteverde. They thoughtfully designed a beautiful home and yoga space. Capuchin monkeys greeted us on arrival. The rental is very warm and comfortable. Kris and Marie are wonderful hosts. We followed all of their recommendations and were never disappointed. Don’t miss breakfast! We tried avocado toast, açaí bowls and oatmeal— all were very healthy and delicious. We had an amazing stay.

The response time was amazing! We were able to book this airbnb ON THE SAME DAY within 2 hours of our arrival! The response time to the messages were all immediate and instructions and expectations were very clear and precise. The host was so kind and helpful! Everything was extremely clean and comfortable and all appliances worked well. Since there is no AC it was a bit stuffy inside so we ended up purchsing a standup fan for about 7500 colones ($15 USD) and it was well worth it. We would definitely stay again!

BEAUTIFUL,PEACEFUL, AMAZING STAY!! Walking distance to a nice restaurant behind the cabin!! Close to everything! A river runs right through the property, it was so relaxing! Definitely will be back!

A true Airbnb experience! Ria hosts a couple of rooms in this beautiful house, so we had some fun conversations with her, her daughter, and other guests, making due in multiple languages. It was fun! We saw some scarlet macaws in the trees right outside our room. Breakfast was delicious. Local fruits sold down the road. The area was very peaceful and quiet. Hope to return someday!

We really enjoyed our stay here! The location was amazing and central to a lot of activities, restaurants, and bars nearby. The hosts also made check in very easy and our stay was great. The hosts helped us book various excursions that picked us up and dropped us off at the Airbnb, which was really convenient. Housekeeping is also nearby and assisted us with laundry and anything else we needed. The Airbnb was so beautiful and peaceful. It was a little noisy at times in the morning due to the birds and animals around, but that’s to be expected. I also really enjoyed the outdoor shower. Despite it raining on our last day, the shower water was still warm and it was a great experience using it. Overall, really enjoyed our stay and I would definitely recommend staying here.

Fantastic way to end the celebration of 40 years of marriage. The Hobbit House was just like Tolkien would have wanted it!!
