Cottage vacation rentals in Yucatán Peninsula

We loved our stay at glass! The directions and check in instructions were very clear. Camille met us and showed us to our house. The house and pool were exactly as described. The tubs take a long time to get hot, but it was worth the wait. The cenote was closed during our stay. The noises of the jungle included many birds and insects, as well as the voices from all the other houses. We could see one of the other houses from ours, though the jungle provided some privacy screen. We could clearly hear conversations from 3 other houses.

Everything was excellent with our place, Daniel was always on the lookout and showed flexibility with check-in times. Orlando was super friendly and attentive in every aspect.

Very nice, two-storey house in well-kept, guarded holiday complex. Right by the pool and close to parking. With terrace and outdoor kitchen. Large indoor kitchen and large living/dining area. Practical shower on the ground floor on the way from the pool into the house. As well as two other complete bathrooms on the upper floor. Two large bedrooms upstairs with fitted wardrobes. The beach access belonging to the complex is a few hundred meters away on foot and is also well maintained. Like by the pool, there are umbrellas and loungers and also an outdoor kitchen as well as toilets and showers. By car you can easily visit the area worth seeing, as the place itself is rather tranquil. We just wanted it to be quiet and no hustle and bustle. We cooked daily ourselves, smaller errands, you can do in the shops on site, larger purchases in the supermarkets in Progreso. It rained very heavily on the first day. We report a leak at the house to the landlord and he sent someone to repair in a timely manner. Top!

Roxana was always on the lookout and communication was super good. Everything was excellent in the accommodation, there was no fault of anything. The place is quiet and comfortable, the house has everything that comes in the description, it is spacious and everything is very nice. The area is very quiet and is 5 minutes from the beach by car.

We had an amazing experience! Being surrounded by the jungle in a glass house is something everyone needs to do. Plus there is a cenote on site that we used a few times.

We had an amazing stay at the glass house. It is beautifully designed and well equipped. Checking was easy and Camilla was wonderful. It is as described. The jungle around us offered solitude and beauty. We would definitely recommend and will be back some day!

our stay was great. the room was spacious and clean, and waking up to birds at sunrise was awesome. we didn't use the hot tubs due to the presence of a few too many bees, but otherwise everything was perfect. make sure your car can handle an extremely off-road experience; the 3km leading to the property is very bumpy

Rebecca's place is a little paradise in Izamal, the house is beautiful and it has two pools, one just beside the house and another one at the back garden which looks like a cenote. The decoration is so cute, you can tell a designer was involved. The only minor detail would be that the walls around the house are quite short and you can hear the neighbours, the house is a little further from town so you need a car, however, we felt pretty safe and would love to be back at this oasis.

I truly hope to come back to this place, it was so cool. Beds are comfortable and the place is truly unique. I was worried the jungle sounds would be too loud to sleep but it was great. Pool was amazing. Some tips: Ask for detailed instructions for check in prior to arrival, (show pictures of the house as staff may take you to the wrong one) take screenshots of wifi login info so you can reach the outside world once you arrive to the house (as we had no cell reception, and I had trouble with the lock as it was a new type to me), if the lock is new to you, ask someone to show you how to both lock and unlock the door, bring food and everything you need as it really is out there, be prepared to ask for help in Spanish from onsite staff. We didn’t have trouble with any critters in our rooms or shoes but be careful opening the kitchen drawers as some like to hide in there. Finally, the natural environment is amazing, don’t miss the star gazing on the rooftop!

We spent wonderful moments at Militz's house. A charming house near the bay. Great location - 800m from Poseidon and the charming Malecón. Very nice neighbors. Next door is a local restaurant with delicious ceviche. The house is very clean, comfortable and safe. It was nice to drink coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening, greeting neighbors and observing the normal life of the residents. We felt like we were visiting our relatives/family, a warm welcome. They took great care of us. They responded to messages immediately and reacted, advised where to eat and what to see. We were pleasantly surprised by the welcome - wine and fresh fruit. The sounds of the city did not bother us. We will come back here with pleasure.

The house has a very good location to reach beaches like Chuburná or Puerto Progreso. In addition, it has everything you need to feel comfortable inside the house. The place is in a very quiet area and close to local restaurants and convenience stores.

Cecilia's place was what we were looking for for two nights, it was central, close to the places we wanted to visit, only the room upstairs doesn't have much privacy, besides that, very happy with my stay.

We loved staying at this jungle house. it was in a beautiful location close to coba and tulum. host was responsive and easy to communicate with.

comfortable, very nice, everything is very clean and the attention impeccable. just keep in mind that the restaurants are at least 15 minutes away by car

The house is well located, is in a quiet neighborhood and a 10 minute walk from downtown and the market

Jeff's place was awesome. Exactly as described in the listing. We appreciated that Michael sent a golf cart taxi to pick us up from the ferry terminal. Even if they don't there are plenty of taxi drivers asking if you need a ride as soon as you get off the ferry. The condo is a bit farther from the main area i.e. near the ferry terminal but we walked there and back multiple times every day. It was not a problem for us as we enjoyed the walk but you can get bikes or golf cart rentals but we just didn't feel the need. The condo has everything you need in terms of pots and pans to cook a basic meal / breakfast if you'd like to. There is also a super market pretty close to buy your provisions. Overall no complaints at all, my family and I enjoyed the condo. Kids had fun due to the loft bedroom :) !

This place, Hacienda Tepich, could, with some small adjustments be the best airbnb we have ever stayed at. Eduardo is a most gracious host and interesting person. He is also quite respectful of a guest’s privacy. The location is down a dirt road and is most private and quiet; the night sky is a thing of wonder. The history of the property is also very interesting, and Eduardo, who is a passionate beekeeper, produces the most glorious honey. Thanking Eduardo for letting us have a glance into a different way of living.

Really recommend this place if you are looking for an escape from the city. We loved the position, the furnishing and the space with the pool and all the jungle the surrounds you. The place is 20min away from tulum so you need a car, but in the near area you have small markets, restaurants and also cenotes. The host was amazing, very friendly and helpful. We really recommend this place and I hope we will have the chance to come back!

Gineli with Vacasa is awesome. She is extremely responsive and resourceful. The property matches the description of two separate units (one on top of the other) with full size beds in each unit. Please be mindful when you wish to cross from the north side to the south side (at the split) you will need to use the “water ferry”. The pool was lovely and we enjoyed spending much time in it. The pier was nice to walk down and relax on at the end of the day. BRING BUG SPRAY! Holy mosquitoes, which should be expected. Restaurant: North side happy lobster is nearby. They will come and pick you up and/or deliver food free of charge. This property was exactly what we needed for our lovely vacation in Caye Caulker.

This location is perfect for unplugging and relaxing. The beach is very private and the view from the home and pool is amazing. There isn’t much close to the property so some planning is needed for meals/groceries. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked quickly to cool the rooms at night. WiFi worked well. Home also has a generator which proved to be useful as a sting storm rolled through. The generator automatically kicked in and we never really noticed the interruption. We plan to return again the next time we are looking to visit the area and relax.
