Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Woolacombe Beach

What a find! We felt so welcome on arrival and the information about the locality was excellent. You won't find a better spot: The views are stunning, you're minutes away from a cosy pub or coffee shop and the surrounding area is wonderful. You're able to walk from the door and explore the coastal path, woodland walks, river valleys and exposed moorland. The variety of scenery is remarkable. The cottage is cosy, modern, well-equipped and comfortable. Communication from Kesia and Lewys was excellent. We'll be back!

We had a lovely stay at Marina’s well appointed home from home - the house was just as expected from the listing and was a perfect size and location for our visit.

We were delighted with our stay in Tricia’s house. She sent us a great deal of information beforehand and always replied to our questions. She kindly allowed us flexibility with check in and check out. This beautiful house was just as described - clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated - plenty of space and facilities for 8 of us and a dog. Lovely bed linen. We appreciated the home baked scones, jam and cream that Tricia had left for us. Parking directly outside the house was limited but there was plenty of roadside parking nearby - follow Tricia’s directions, not Google Maps! This was possibly the nicest Airbnb we have stayed in and we would highly recommend it.

We stayed at the Farmhouse for a three generation family weekend. Ginny is a wonderful host who responded promptly to several queries prior to the visit and checked that everything was OK when we arrived. The farmhouse is immaculate, combining old world charm with modern facilities and decor. The hub of the house is the very spacious, well equipped kitchen / dining area. The comfortable bedrooms and modern en suite bathrooms were spotlessly clean. The hot tub won lots of Brownie points from the younger generations. We all agreed that this is the best large house we had stayed in and are planning to return. Overall, a beautiful house in a quiet location near the coast and attractions of North Devon.

This property was perfect for our family weekend away with 6 adults 3 children and our energetic boxer dog! The location is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for the warm weather. The range of activities on offer at the site kept us all entertained in that we only needed to leave the site for a meal out at the recommended King’s arms in Winkleigh and a walk around the Winkleigh wood trail which was perfect to allow Bruno off the lead. The indoor facilities were clean and innovative, although the 3 smaller bedrooms are only really fit for sleeping which wasn’t an issue. The kitchen is fully kitted and the bathroom particularly clean and welcoming. We loved our stay, thank you Ian and family!

We had a fantastic stay here- Audrey’s directions were easy to follow and once we arrived we were very happy :) the house was lovely, so warm, inviting and cosy! The bath in the bedroom was a highlight for me and a touch of luxury! We loved the location as it was so remote, surrounded by nature and very peaceful. Audrey was the perfect host and we will be returning!

We absolutely loved the house! It was very well appointed and the décor was so nice - very warm and welcoming. The outside space was a bonus (weather permitting!) and the lounge was really cosy. 10/10 for us!

A wonderful stay. I loved how close it was to the coastal path (didn't even want to use my rental car which was a problem). This is a very good value. It was clean, comfortable, really perfect for Bude. Thank you!

Fantastic location with a view that is unmatched. Just breathtaking. Beautiful apartment, spacious and well equipped. Enjoyed strolling to the beach which is just a minute from the front door! .. surfing & hiking. Surf hire & restaurant situated on the beach too so the apartment really is in a great spot. Lovely to have the luxury of a log burner with wood supplied. Victoria is a friendly & helpful. Trampoline was well used by our daughter an added bonus! We had a super week and hope to be back again. It was an excellent way to start our holidays this year it was a lovely private place close enough for everything we wanted to see and do 100% would recommend.

Lovely apartment, modern clean and fully equipped. Location was great, everything in walking distance, pubs, restaurants and shops. The harbour is a few minutes walk away and Ilfracombe is perfect starting point for beautiful days out in Devon. I would recommend this stay to friends.

Our second stay this year and just as enjoyable as the first! Very comfortable - the bed is amazing - and cosy. Location perfect for Lynton and Lynmouth and other nearby spots like Combe Martin and Woolacombe. The river walk just outside the door is lovely and perfect for dogs. As a solo traveller I felt very safe as well which is important to me. Thanks Carolynn!

Fantastic property in an exquisite location. 2 minutes from a coastal path. Warm and welcoming with all the amenities you could possibly need. Three teenagers, one spaniel and a couple of grown ups all loved it!

The comms and welcome were perfect. Great position with amazing views across the bay. Walking distance to everything you need. Very clean and tidy. Beds were good enough. Seems a little bit expensive for a fairly old style caravan but we had a great time and knew what we were getting so overall very happy with this booking. Thank you for being so friendly.

A unique set of suites in a very large gorgeous house. There was so much room for our family ranging from 3 to 73! The communal area was used all the time and the bar area was a wonderful bonus. It really became our ‘home’ for the week and we all felt very relaxed. The suites were first rate having everything you could possibly need and provided the ‘bolt hole’ where people had their own space as well. There are so many beaches close by which we visited- Hele, Combe Martin and Woolacombe- great for paddle boarding, kayaking and surfing- we had a busy time! Neil was such a good host providing very quick responses to my many questions in such a friendly way! Would highly recommend this property for a large group. Thank you Neil.

Rose Cottage is a lovely, old fashioned, quirky cottage - with lots of interesting objet d’art to discover throughout your time there. I loved how it is tucked away from the street, making it a really private space. Danielle was really informative about the surrounding areas and was on hand for queries. The living space downstairs is really relaxing (two of us learnt how to play chess in the lounge!) The outdoor space is really valuable as, I should imagine, in Appledore having a big garden is a real treat. The location is amazing - a minute’s stroll down to the quay - with the wonderful local shop, John’s, a stone’s throw away. We had fantastic weather, having lots of hot beach days in Croyde and Saunton Sands, but also loved catching the 5 minute ferry across to Instow village and beach. The attics bedrooms were a little warm (it was a very hot week), but Danielle kindly provided us with a fan which certainly helped on the top floor. Appledore is a magical place with beautiful cottages, great restaurants and Sylvester’s fish and chips are scrumptious - the first time I think I have ever managed to eat a whole battered cod! Thanks Danielle for a truly wonderful week’s holiday with the family.

Had a wonderful time. The place felt very secluded with amazing amenities and stunning sea view. Neil was very friendly and helpful too and even left us chocolates and champagne to help us celebrate a special occasion. Would love to stay here again sometime.

A madcap feast for the eyes! If you want a standard Airbnb filled full of IKEA then this place isn’t for you. If you want an authentic (and original) experience in a great location - then book it. Open fires, art, antiques, the sea all make up the DNA of Appledore and typify Myrtle Cottage as a microcosm of North Devon’s prettiest fishing village (that you don’t have to pay to visit!)

Bracken House was perfect in every way for my family to get together with me and celebrate my 70th birthday. It’s spacious, live in, kitchen provided a family hub, and its sense of stairs and corridors to distant corners created a mini wonder world for the children. The bedrooms and their huge beds were so comfortable I fell asleep each night without trying. I congratulate the owners on the way the house is so well stocked with good furniture and a range of amenities. We all felt sorry to leave on Monday morning after a wonderful and happy weekend.

An excellent host who provided lots of timely advice and a beautiful place to stay. We were hugely impacted by storm darragh. Luckily the house offered a great social space and we still had a lovely weekend. Bed Rooms are all lovely, everyone felt we had plenty of space. Bathrooms well kitted out. Everything was nicely arranged, with furnishings making this feel like a very luxurious stay. Would highly recommend this place- plus it’s a only a short walk to the beach and the town if you did actually want to leave the place !
