Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Woolacombe Beach

We stayed at Potter's cottage for 3 nights (22nd to 25th January) and had a fantastic time. The home was beautifully clean when we arrived, and it was very well located. We loved being able to go for walks and then return to the cottage to warm up by the woodburner, which heated the entire house. The host was thoughtful enough to leave some wood in a basket to get us started - Such a kind touch. Kesia was extremely responsive, especially when we had some questions before booking. Throughout our stay, we didn’t need to reach out, as all the information we needed was provided upfront. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and we would not hesitate to recommend this place to friends and family. Thank you, Kesia, for allowing us to stay in this lovely home.

We stayed at the Farmhouse for a three generation family weekend. Ginny is a wonderful host who responded promptly to several queries prior to the visit and checked that everything was OK when we arrived. The farmhouse is immaculate, combining old world charm with modern facilities and decor. The hub of the house is the very spacious, well equipped kitchen / dining area. The comfortable bedrooms and modern en suite bathrooms were spotlessly clean. The hot tub won lots of Brownie points from the younger generations. We all agreed that this is the best large house we had stayed in and are planning to return. Overall, a beautiful house in a quiet location near the coast and attractions of North Devon.

This property was perfect for our family weekend away with 6 adults 3 children and our energetic boxer dog! The location is peaceful and relaxing, perfect for the warm weather. The range of activities on offer at the site kept us all entertained in that we only needed to leave the site for a meal out at the recommended King’s arms in Winkleigh and a walk around the Winkleigh wood trail which was perfect to allow Bruno off the lead. The indoor facilities were clean and innovative, although the 3 smaller bedrooms are only really fit for sleeping which wasn’t an issue. The kitchen is fully kitted and the bathroom particularly clean and welcoming. We loved our stay, thank you Ian and family!

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb in Lynton. George, our host, was incredibly helpful, providing us with all the information we needed before our arrival and quickly responding whenever we needed assistance. The cottage itself was peaceful, quiet, and absolutely spotless. It was equipped with everything we needed, and the furniture was really comfortable. Huge bathroom,lots of thought been put in everything you need during your stay. The area is lovely, with plenty of shops and beautiful walks on your doorstep. We felt so warm and happy in the cottage and in the peaceful surroundings. It’s a great place to visit, and we highly recommend it! We had a fantastic stay here- Audrey’s directions were easy to follow and once we arrived we were very happy :) the house was lovely, so warm, inviting and cosy! The bath in the bedroom was a highlight for me and a touch of luxury! We loved the location as it was so remote, surrounded by nature and very peaceful. Audrey was the perfect host and we will be returning!

We absolutely loved the house! It was very well appointed and the décor was so nice - very warm and welcoming. The outside space was a bonus (weather permitting!) and the lounge was really cosy. 10/10 for us!

Super host…It was a lovely stay. The home was cozy and clean. Well maintained ….Dust free…Even the kitchen was very clean, all the utensils were very neat and tidy. Impressed with the interior of the entire house. The lighting was great too. The balcony view to the sea was adorable. Kerry was always available to answer our questions. She has adjusted our check out time as we checked in late. Such a lovely host. Highly recommend.

Really a lovely and beautifully clean caravan, with towels and bedding and all the cleaning supplies etc so no need to bring too much from home. Stunning location you fall in love with straight away. Quiet in winter but you feel safe.

We loved our stay, super cosy, relaxing, we had everything we needed, great parking space right outside the door, shop nearby, lovely walk to the beach which was lovely. Would definitely stay again

Fantastic location with a view that is unmatched. Just breathtaking. Beautiful apartment, spacious and well equipped. Enjoyed strolling to the beach which is just a minute from the front door! .. surfing & hiking. Surf hire & restaurant situated on the beach too so the apartment really is in a great spot. Lovely to have the luxury of a log burner with wood supplied. Victoria is a friendly & helpful. Trampoline was well used by our daughter an added bonus! We had a super week and hope to be back again. It was an excellent way to start our holidays this year it was a lovely private place close enough for everything we wanted to see and do 100% would recommend.

Lovely apartment, modern clean and fully equipped. Location was great, everything in walking distance, pubs, restaurants and shops. The harbour is a few minutes walk away and Ilfracombe is perfect starting point for beautiful days out in Devon. I would recommend this stay to friends.

Our second stay this year and just as enjoyable as the first! Very comfortable - the bed is amazing - and cosy. Location perfect for Lynton and Lynmouth and other nearby spots like Combe Martin and Woolacombe. The river walk just outside the door is lovely and perfect for dogs. As a solo traveller I felt very safe as well which is important to me. Thanks Carolynn!

Fantastic property in an exquisite location. 2 minutes from a coastal path. Warm and welcoming with all the amenities you could possibly need. Three teenagers, one spaniel and a couple of grown ups all loved it!

The comms and welcome were perfect. Great position with amazing views across the bay. Walking distance to everything you need. Very clean and tidy. Beds were good enough. Seems a little bit expensive for a fairly old style caravan but we had a great time and knew what we were getting so overall very happy with this booking. Thank you for being so friendly.

A unique set of suites in a very large gorgeous house. There was so much room for our family ranging from 3 to 73! The communal area was used all the time and the bar area was a wonderful bonus. It really became our ‘home’ for the week and we all felt very relaxed. The suites were first rate having everything you could possibly need and provided the ‘bolt hole’ where people had their own space as well. There are so many beaches close by which we visited- Hele, Combe Martin and Woolacombe- great for paddle boarding, kayaking and surfing- we had a busy time! Neil was such a good host providing very quick responses to my many questions in such a friendly way! Would highly recommend this property for a large group. Thank you Neil.

Rose Cottage is a lovely, old fashioned, quirky cottage - with lots of interesting objet d’art to discover throughout your time there. I loved how it is tucked away from the street, making it a really private space. Danielle was really informative about the surrounding areas and was on hand for queries. The living space downstairs is really relaxing (two of us learnt how to play chess in the lounge!) The outdoor space is really valuable as, I should imagine, in Appledore having a big garden is a real treat. The location is amazing - a minute’s stroll down to the quay - with the wonderful local shop, John’s, a stone’s throw away. We had fantastic weather, having lots of hot beach days in Croyde and Saunton Sands, but also loved catching the 5 minute ferry across to Instow village and beach. The attics bedrooms were a little warm (it was a very hot week), but Danielle kindly provided us with a fan which certainly helped on the top floor. Appledore is a magical place with beautiful cottages, great restaurants and Sylvester’s fish and chips are scrumptious - the first time I think I have ever managed to eat a whole battered cod! Thanks Danielle for a truly wonderful week’s holiday with the family.

Had a wonderful time. The place felt very secluded with amazing amenities and stunning sea view. Neil was very friendly and helpful too and even left us chocolates and champagne to help us celebrate a special occasion. Would love to stay here again sometime.

A madcap feast for the eyes! If you want a standard Airbnb filled full of IKEA then this place isn’t for you. If you want an authentic (and original) experience in a great location - then book it. Open fires, art, antiques, the sea all make up the DNA of Appledore and typify Myrtle Cottage as a microcosm of North Devon’s prettiest fishing village (that you don’t have to pay to visit!)

We had a great stay here, the rooms are comfortable and clean. Quite possibly the best shower I have ever used both upstairs and down! The fire was lovely and gave a warm homely feel, a great selection of board games as well!

The most amazing space to hold our family Christmas, everyone was impressed with the house and the Christmas decorations made us all feel right at home, we didn’t want to leave!! The rooms were just beautiful, and the amount of amenities was great. Highly recommend this space for a big family get together 🙂

Myself, my partner and our friends had a wonderful stay at Longleigh. The house was stunning, had everything we wanted (particularly a huge kitchen/dining space for a big Christmas dinner) and the hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful with recommendations. The house was also within walking distance of multiple beautiful beaches and a lovely pub/restaurant, as well as a short drive from multiple local towns. Highly recommend this house, area and host.
