Oak Island Beach House- Steps from Sand, Sun, Fun!

This is our third time at Vicki's home. We return for the proximity to the beach (an easy 8 minute walk - a few jellyfish on shore, otherwise a very clean beach), the screened-in porch and rocking chairs for the humans, and the safely fenced-in back yard for the dog. The wide beach at low tide and the sunsets over the pier are A+. We had planned to go to Koko Cabana for dinner, but it was closed that night. Instead, we discovered The Lone Rider at the other end of the island and we're so glad we went. Just FYI, there is no dishwasher, if that matters to you. Otherwise, you'll have everything you need, including a few beach chairs.

Pauline was an excellent host and her home is wonderful. You can see, smell and hear the ocean from the front porch. Every detail of this home was well thought out for a family visiting with their dog. The large fenced in yard was perfect. The kitchen is updated and fully stocked with everything needed to cook. The additional amenities in the bathrooms and bedrooms were a nice touch. I’ve never needed to pack so little to stay in a rental home as everything we would need was provided. The location is perfect as there are multiple restaurants and a grocery store within 1 block. At night, it is very quiet in the neighborhood. Beach access is a short walk away. This home has everything and more!

This is the place to stay if you want to be right at the beach. The convenience of being able to walk so quickly and easily beats staying further out and paying to park! Courtney’s place is perfect for a beach trip yet has everything and more you can think of in the kitchen if you wanted to bake a cake, cook a 3 course meal, grill, make smoothies, have s’mores over the fire pit or simply relax on the front porch with a glass of wine. The bed was super comfy and the couch was as cozy as can be! We booked it last minute and Courtney was so accommodating and responsive - this is just what we needed and would definitely stay here again! Would 1000% recommend staying here!

Kolleen herself was very sweet and responsive for everything needed or wanting to know. She was very clear about how to get inside and did an amazing job at making sure her home had everything that would be needed. Her house was soooo very clean. There was nothing anywhere that I could find that was not clean :) I will definitely be staying with her again!! It was seriously like my little home I always wanted!! “But I have to many kids 😂😂”

The views from the rooftop balcony and the super convenient location of this beautiful home make it worth the trip. The host was very responsive and helpful whenever we had a question or suggestion. The elevator was extremely helpful for my elderly mother as she has had hip and knee replacements and had trouble with the stairs. I would highly recommend Ramith’s home.
