Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Wausau

This house was great for our group of 10 for a ski weekend at Granite Peak. It had everything we needed! A very warm and cozy stay. About 5 minutes from the ski resort. We highly recommend this spot & hope to make it an annual trip!

Our group enjoyed our stay at Anna’s place! Conveniently located near Granite Peak for some skiing and enjoyed using the hot tub and ping pong table!

Just a beautiful home with a gorgeous view! The view to the river was like being on a boat! We gathered our family together to celebrate our mother's 80th. birthday, and the accommodations could not have been better. Everything was beautifully appointed, the beds very comfortable and all our needs taken care of! They have done a fantastic job making this home beautiful yet comfortable and accessible. I highly recommend!

As a construction crew it is always great to find a clean and affordable Airbnb. Instead of sharing cramped hotel rooms with minimal amenities, we were able to get our own rooms, laundry on site and a full size kitchen to help make the difficulties of traveling a little more comfortable. Will definitely book again the next time we are working in the area.

During my stay, I had a full on suicidal mental health crisis. This resulted in some damage to Mark’s property and the police being called. Mark dealt with it professionally, even though it was absolutely not his responsibility to deal with the problems of his Guest. I will be doing everything I can to restore and repair any damage caused to Marks property as he is a fantastic host and had to put up with more than he should have from any Guest. I could not recommend him as a host more nor could I apologize further for having put him in this unacceptable uncomfortable situation. Thank you Mark and I apologize profusely.

Wonderful house with beautiful hilltop view and walkway down to the lake. Very quiet and comfortable, and we greatly appreciated having our canine kids with us! We would love to come again.

Ken and Sue’s place was amazing! My family and I had an amazing time and the views were absolutely breathtaking! Everything (for the most part) is 20 minutes away which is even better. Ken and Sue’s place is located in a very private area with no traffic so it’s nice to be in a remote and quiet location and also have lots of things to do nearby. This is an absolutely perfect place to stay!

We could call this Erin Saves Christmas! She helped us quickly rebook after accidentally canceling, had the house beautifully decorated, and had little treats and surprises for the kids. There was plenty of room for all of us and everything we needed to cook for the whole family. We had warm beds and soft towels. The kids loved sledding and playing in the snow. Thanks for helping us make another year of Christmas memories!

We were staying in Marathon City for skiing at Granite Peak. It was the perfect spot for my girlfriend and I during our weekend away. The house is well appointed and was spotless. The kitchen was well equipped with all the essential cooking supplies and the rooms were outfitted with plenty of extra towels and blankets. The king size bed in the main bedroom was very comfortable. We also appreciated the little decorations that made the place feel special. It was very convenient to have garage parking as well during the winter so no need to shovel snow off the car (we were there during a mini snowstorm that came through overnight). The host was very responsive and was quick to help us take care of a little issue we had with the WiFi one night. All in all a great place that I would recommend for couples as well as small families. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Granite Peak.

My husband and I enjoyed our long wknd glamping at Scandyland! We were able to bring our dog too and she also had a fabulous stay; lots of space to run and play and relax. Very spacious and private and those nites by the fire and all the stars, simply breathtaking. Would recommend, but want to keep this place a secret🤗

This place felt like “Home”! We spent the majority of our time on the screened in porch! The wildlife activity was endless from owls, deer, pileated woodpeckers and endless squirrels and chippies! The neighborhood was as beautiful as I remembered, having lived in the area many years prior to moving out west! Our morning walks were a great workout on the hills! Book it! You will not be disappointed!

My entire staff team stayed at this airbnb while in town for a conference for just one night, and while there a few unfortunately timed circumstances with the home impacted our stay. However, we cannot say enough good things about this Host. They were so kind and responsive to us despite being out of town hosts. These were things that was not the host’s fault, but issues that sometimes come up with home owning. The host gracefully responded to our messages informing them of these things and offered to rectify is as best they could with short notice. We are grateful for the positive experience of booking with this Host in Wausau! Definitely recommend!

John went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Even allowed us to shift our dates last minute. Clean and comfortable home, well stocked kitchen, nice location on the lake. Loved the fireplace. Fun to ice skate there and an easy drive to Granite Peak. Cocktail recipe is a keeper! Thank you!

A beautiful private cabin. This was exactly what my partner and I were looking for. Has a gas powered kitchen and electricity but still rustic and cozy. You will find yourself naturally very relaxed here.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. We were pleasantly surprised. Any questions were answered in a timely manner.
