Vacation rentals with a hot tub in Watauga Lake

So fun!! Place was exactly as listed and so so beautiful!

This unit worked very well for six adults, 4 kiddos and one baby. Quiet, on golf course with great views.

Beautiful location with no real complaints. There are just minor nuances regarding logistics, such as how to get there in case of GPS failure, and small details like the thermostat being a bit tricky. However, these are very minor issues. I highly recommend this place. It seems that some things have been altered over time, and the instructions provided may not yet be fully up-to-date, but this was hardly an inconvenience. Everything was great overall. As a general suggestion, the cleaning fee for short stays with two people could be lower than for longer stays with more guests. For instance, a cleaning fee of over $100 for a two-night stay feels quite high. While this may be the nature of how things work, it’s worth noting that the reasonable daily rate combined with Airbnb fees and cleaning fees can increase the cost by about 25%, which seems excessive.

Carl and his son were lovely hosts. The eclectic trailer was right up my alley and practical too.

I stayed at Jerry and Taylor's property celebrating my birthday. Both my lady and I enjoyed their property so much we stayed in and just enjoyed this listing for a whole day! The games was a nice touch. The black walls made sleep more peaceful and the location was perfect to the downtown area. Also nearby stores were a plus. I will try to stay here next time we come back to visit Bristol. You won't be disappointed booking this listing.

My family had a wonderful stay. The place was very spacious with its open concept. The kitchen was well stocked. We will stay again in the future. 4x4 drive or All Wheel drive is recommended for winter months as we would have been stuck without it for getting to and leaving the place.

I cannot recommend Steve's Airbnb highly enough! From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Steve has poured his heart into this beautiful and well-maintained property. The attention to detail is impressive—everything you need for a family meal is provided, from a fully stocked cabinet of seasonings to all the plates and utensils. Plus, there’s even a set of silverware for toddlers, which was a thoughtful touch! Steve's responsiveness is exceptional; he's available 24/7 and genuinely cares about ensuring your stay is perfect. We did encounter a small hiccup on our first day when our kids got a bit too excited and were playing loudly. We weren't aware that the downstairs tenants could hear us, but Steve handled the situation with such grace. He communicated kindly with us, allowing us to adjust and quiet down for the evening. It was a seamless resolution that could have easily gone another way, and I truly appreciate how he managed it. Thank you, Steve, for a wonderful stay!

This is our 3rd stay and our family always has a great time. Beautiful view, spacious, clean and the hosts are very helpful and responsive when needed. Just a short drive down the mountain to app ski. Highly recommend!

My husband and I stayed here for a friends wedding that was in the area. The home is exactly as listed. Much more house than just the two of us really needed, but it was wonderful to have two bathrooms for getting ready. The space is very clean and tidy. I loved that our pets were welcome as well! It was nice to see deer in the front yard and be remote, but just a 15 min drive to resturants ans shops. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was located deep in the mountains, isolated from almost everything. It is very quiet and peaceful. There are no disturbances from anyone or anything. Beautiful Mountain View’s all the way from the beginning of the road to the home itself. They aren’t joking though, I recommend stopping by a grocery store before you get there. It is about 30 minutes to banner elk and 50 minutes to Boone. We definitely will be going back! Thank you to our hosts.

We recently stayed at Tom’s cabin for a birthday celebration weekend and had a blast! The cabin was easy to find (even in the snow storm), the roads in the neighborhood were continually cleared, and we were close to town. Everyone in our party had plenty of space to spread out if we wanted, or gather all in one area if we wanted. The furniture was comfortable, bedding was great quality, and the kitchen had everything we needed! Tom was extremely responsive when we had questions or updates, and was always extremely kind. We loved the cabin and would stay again!

This was by far the best cabin experience I’ve ever had! Very private, great views, the place was super clean. The host was very helpful, gave us detailed instructions on how to get there. Will for sure be back!

Really enjoyed our stay at Stacy’s cabin. The cabin was beautiful, clean, and had everything you could need. It is really close to Banner Elk, Sugar and Beech Mountain which is very convenient. Stacy was also very friendly. I would definitely recommend staying there!

The views of the surrounding mountains were absolutely breathtaking—each morning, I woke up to a peaceful landscape that made it hard to leave. The place was immaculate, with cozy furnishings and all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. Joshua was a fantastic host, offering helpful recommendations for hiking spots and local attractions. They were very communicative, making sure I had everything I needed. The location was perfect—just far enough from the bustle to feel like a true getaway, but still within reach of everything I wanted to explore. I can't wait to return! If you're looking for a spacious, peaceful retreat with stunning mountain views, this is the place.

The cabin was lovely with a comfortable bed, private hot tub, dual headed shower, and cozy living space. It was only a short 25 min ride to sugar mountain where we enjoyed snowboarding. Some unexpected weather shortened our stay but the hosts were very generous and refunded part of the bill. Although cell service was limited we could still make calls from right outside in our car. Overall a beautiful stay.
