Vacation rentals with lake access in Watauga Lake

we drove up for a wedding and happened to be there in the middle of the hurricane. Even though we had no power, we were still able to communicate with Brooke because she walked to the end of her road to get service to message us. If that's not a great host, I don't know what is. Thank you so much for being available even during the worst conditions to help answer questions we had. The Airbnb was beautiful and I even saw a couple deer which made me happy. Definitely recommend this place and we will be going back in better conditions.

Very beautiful view, the nature is gorgeous! Quiet and beautiful! Away from people, alone with nature! I recommend for those who are tired of city life, here you will relax 100%. The hosts are incredibly caring, the house has everything you need, my family and I had a great rest, thank you!

This is a beautiful cabin inside and out right on the lake. We enjoyed our winter stay with such a beautiful view. The cabin is larger than the pictures lead you to believe. Very comfy bed. The kitchen has everything you need including a full size fridge with ice maker: The bathroom was well stocked too. The owner was quick to respond when we had a question. Would stay again.

Very beautiful place! Well taken care of! This place is very roomy and was over looking the water. I stayed right at peek winter with snow so we did not get to enjoy the out doors much but it was super pretty looking out the window at the snow and water!

Karyn and Steve, we super awesome and responsive. They were always willing to help and even gave us a heads up on the weather and the route to get there. I will definitely be bringing my friends and family back!

This was my first time staying at an Air BNB, I gave used Vrbo in the past, but I looked on AirBNB for this trip and found this location. I can’t describe how wonderful it was, every detail was considered, extra blankets, plenty of linens, disposable plates and cups…. And everything is labeled! No turning on 12 lights to find the right one! And really nice personal touches, a personal message on a white board, chilled bottled water, mints, popcorn….. and we were able to meet the hosts, and they were so incredibly nice, and welcoming. We really hope to come back and stay again soon. Thank you so much for making our first experience a great one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The apartment was very comfortable and worked for our needs. It’s my husband’s hometown and was close to the people we weee visiting. Cheryl was always helpful if we needed anything.

John is “the” host! We had a great time in his property. The property has everything you need to have a great time. You can fish, swim in the pond, play pool, etc. John takes really good care of you, cannot ask for a better host!

This place is beautiful!! We were greeted at check in (which we made last minutes plans) they were super nice. There was no detail left unthought of! The decor was perfect. They had everything we didn’t even think of makeup wipes, q tips, bottled water and popcorn for us! It was a very quiet neighborhood and the view of the lake was beautiful. I would highly recommend staying there and we hope to again one day!

Sandra's place was very clean and cozy. She was a terrific host who went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Would definitely stay here again.

There aren’t enough words for me to express my appreciation and gratitude towards David & his wife. From the moment I booked the home, David made sure to communicate with me thoroughly! If I ever needed anything, he was available! The home itself is absolutely gorgeous and so well kept! It is quite literally a slice of heaven! Out of all the places I have stayed through Airbnb I would easily say this was my best experience as far as places I’ve stayed and host I’ve dealt with! Big snow! Nancy and her super Jeep showed us where to park for the weekend and she drove us up the mountain for the final mile. We love the hot tub and baby and teenage goats. Heads up for snorers—one of the bedrooms is separated from the living room/kitchen only by a curtain. Thank you for driving us back down and helping scrape our windshield.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely mid-week getaway at Maria's cabin. It was perfectly located with a short drive to all the hikes we wanted to check out. The house was exactly as described, clean, and very comfortable with great views. It felt very private and special.
