What a fabulous find The Hidden Lodge was. Richard was really helpful and friendly. The Lodge was extremely welcoming and cosy, with everything you could wish for. Extremely well thought out lodge. Very comfortable bed and lovely bedding. Lounge area perfect for chilling out watching a movie. Well equipped kitchen. Every room was pristine clean. The availability to hire the hot tub was a great plus for us to relax in the afternoons. The outside areas were also well thought out clean and tidy. We chose this location to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and had a lovely time. The directions provided was clear and easy to follow, making our arrival smooth and stress-free. The setting was peaceful and scenic, with quiet surroundings that made for a relaxing stay. The cabin was just what we needed—clean, private, and comfortable. Being in the woods gave us the chance to enjoy some birdwatching and listen to their delightful songs each morning, which was a nice change from city life. Also the nearby areas offered plenty of charming spots to explore. It was a truly wonderful experience.

We had an amazing stay at Maya and Robin’s beautiful cabin! The surroundings were absolutely stunning, and the cabin itself was spotless, cosy, and welcoming—especially with the fireplace already lit when we arrived. It was the perfect peaceful getaway. Maya and Robin were fantastic hosts, incredibly kind and thoughtful. The enclosed garden was a huge bonus, giving my dogs plenty of space to roam and relax. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a tranquil retreat/getaway - we'll definitely be coming back!

Arscott Lodges - Mallard

LisaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Arrived to a beautiful cabin, with unbelievable views from the decking area (as told) over the golf course and to the mountains in the back ground. The cabin itself was easily accessible, very clean, homely and welcoming. Hot tub was already warm-to my 9 year olds excitement, he was in it before I had time to pop the kettle on! Isabelle as the host was fantastic, I had asked for details of local things to do-walks, museums, cafes/restaurants all information had been sent to me before arrival from her. Where the cabin is located is perfect, it’s peaceful, tranquil and the right place to go and deeply unwind. I am already looking at our next visit, friends and family are also interested too. We thoroughly enjoyed our couple of nights there, and with it only being an hours drive away for us it’s the perfect find. Thank you for having us Isabelle-we will be back very soon!

Nick and Gill were really responsive, welcoming and friendly hosts. It was a perfect place to stay on the weekend of the Chester marathon. Close enough to the start and finish and the right side of Chester not to get too held up in the race day traffic. Great place to return to and crash after the race too.

Cute retro Welsh cabin for six

We stayed for 2 nights and honestly regret not booking a longer stay! The cabin was beautiful and cosy and exceeded our expectations! The little extras such as notes everywhere with hints & tips on what to do inside the cabin and around the area was such a lovely little touch and the weekend was exactly the relaxing break away we were looking for. From start to finish Sam&Freya were fabulous hosts - answering all of my queries really quickly. Check in and check out was completely effortless and we have already said we would love to come back. Highly recommend.

What a beautiful and peaceful setting! A tasteful and immaculate cabin in a perfect spot. The cabin is a clever design and had everything you could need. It was really cosy, felt very safe and the decking area with seating was a bonus. The mezzanine bed area was a hit for our teenager who could have her own space. We made use of the terrace for drinks at the restaurant on our arrival day which was glorious. The restaurant only a stones throw away from the cabin was perfect. The Sunday carvery was top notch and all the staff were polite and helpful. We ambled around the wooded site and came across streams and waterfalls. It was just what was needed for a relaxing couple of days away. We’ll certainly be back!
