Waterfront vacation rentals in Waldo County

This was perfect for my solo vacation! It is in a perfect location, close driving distance to Camden and Belfast. But also right across from the beach and next to a great pizza place for the night I didn’t feel like venturing out. It feels private and peaceful even though it is right by the road. I loved having my coffee on the porch watching the boats. Thanks to the thick curtains and sound machine, I slept so well. Loved the tub, the comfy bed, the well stocked kitchen. I will be back!

This is a lovely loft in a beautiful setting. Very peaceful place with walkable distance to town. Would highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay in such a special accommodation. The hosts thought of everything to make our stay comfortable. Even provided snacks and wine that we enjoyed on the back screened-in porch overlooking the river. It doesn’t get better than that! The kitchen was fitted out with new appliances, cooking implements, pots and pans—great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Location was great for visiting the National Park, Bar Harbor etc. An easy 1 hour drive. We felt Jay and Darryl really cared about creating an inviting, enjoyable hide-away for their guests. They really hit the mark!

James was quick with responding, and gave helpful instructions. Me and my girlfriend enjoyed everyday second there. Very clean, very peaceful everything was immaculate. Me and my lady are very satisfied.

I would highly recommend. Roger was a pleasure speaking with and I loved how peaceful the property is. It felt like I was in my own world with beautiful views on both sides of the barn. Also, the suite itself was clean, cozy and had plenty of space.

I highly recommend this property, “Mariner’s Loft” on the historic Main Street of Belfast! Beautifully restored space from which to hike up the rail-trail, explore the waterfront, shops, restaurants, as well as a great food co-op around the corner, accessing great food to cook in the well laid out kitchen for an “at home” relaxing and rejuvenating atmosphere with 2 comfortable sleeping quarters in the heart of town! The price was a bit of a splurge for us, but we found its location and aesthetic comforts well worth it! Note: no designated parking is provided; instead free, though time-limited, street parking in front of the building can be found, with a free 24 hour municipal lot a half block away. Our stay here made for a very delightful two night immersion into the enchanting heart and soul of beautiful Belfast!

The home was very comfortable, clean, and well appointed. It was unexpected but amazing to have everything one needs to cook lobster and a Thanksgiving turkey and fixings! David and Hannah were very responsive, welcoming and kind. What a beautiful location in downtown Belfast, very walkable with lovely views. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay at the Penthouse! It was a perfect launching point for our downeast adventures in Acadia and points beyond. There was a beautiful waterfront view in a charming small town. The space was cozy, clean, modern and very comfortable for our stay. Highly recommend it.

We have been going to this area of Maine for over fifty years. I found this gem several years ago and haven’t stayed anywhere since. I find it to be peaceful, walkable to the center via footbridge, it’s all that we want. Kathy is a great host, quickly responds to any questions or needs you may have. We always know we will have a great experience staying here.

Alana couldn't have been more responsive to our questions and ideas. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The house was wonderful, with amazing views of the water, sunrises and sunsets. All the rooms were clean and tidy. She thought of providing everything that you might want or might have forgotten to pack, from toothbrushes to razors to QTips. There were board games for rainy days, bird books and binoculars. Belfast is a lovely town and this house gives easy access to its treasures. We felt lucky to be able to stay there.

The house was an amazing location! We thoroughly enjoyed the sunrises & sunsets while grilling dinners in the evenings! The house was very clean and Robert was a great host. I mess him to ask if there was an axe on site. He responded that there wasn’t but that he would get firewood for us the next morning. It was so awesome to sit around the fire at night and hear the loons calling. It was very relaxing. We had to travel at least an hour to do the site seeing we wanted to do but we expected that. Overall was great and I’d recommend the house to others!!

What an amazing time I had at this place! I got married to my best friend and we had our families joined together! Everyone cooking every night, beach walks, board games, and fires for when it got a little cold. I couldn’t have asked for a better wedding week! Absolutely recommend, terrific spot, very calm and peaceful. Gena's house met our every need, everything was easy to access. The location was very near Belfast Maine, nice community with great restaurants and beautiful waterfront scenery. We'd rent again sometime for sure.

Our group of friends and family really enjoyed staying at this peaceful winter getaway house! We are already talking about coming back up in the summertime. The toys and games made my kids so happy and kept them well-entertained. Perfect amount of space for our big group! Lori was flexible and responsive, a wonderful host! Thank you again 🛷

Overall, Deb's place is very nice and served well as a home away from home. It was the best Airbnb that I've ever rented. The neighborhood is quiet and the road that runs by the house has little traffic (it's a dead-end). The kitchen was well stocked with appliances. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. It takes 10 min to get to downtown Camden. On the downside, the furnace had just broken before we got there and so it got a little cool. Further, we could not get the jacuzzi to work and the flooring is a little beat up. But, the positives drastically outweighed the negatives.

Leslie’s home is exactly that, cozy, spacious, beautiful, peaceful, but above all it feels like a real home. Leslie was welcoming and gracious, she went above and beyond, I would certainly consider her a friend after staying there. I highly recommend this spot!
