We loved our short stay here!!! The place is absolutely gorgeously renovated and Michalis greeted us with homemade wine! It’s about a 15 min drive to matala, an adorable area! The area of town is a bit more remote though very safe and you may want to know a few words in Greek but we got around fine! We took a risk on a place that didn’t have many reviews and so glad we did! Highly recommend staying here, wish we had had more time!

It was perfect. If you want to be in Crete in a spotless but very local place... it's the ideal place... lots of knickknacks or artwork sleep there , we enjoyed it again... ( lovers of hotels in All Inclusive refrain, that's not the concept at all) ... / ... here, a change of scenery assured, this house breathes the Rude Crete of the past decades... / ... house to read or re-read " Letter to Greco " by Nikos Kazantzakis ... / ... What a wonderful stay, top of the list for all places we have stayed. Attention to detail, providing all the little extras to help make your stay easier (sun umbrellas, mats, toiletries...) Our arrival was easy, parking was on the street, but enough space. The patio area was a favourite spot, private and with lots of places to relax. Inside kitchen had all necessary utensils to cook meals. Bedroom was quiet with air-con, bed was a little too firm for us. Our host was proactive and very friendly; answering our questions and giving recommendations.

This was our second visit to Zacharias and we were just as satisfied as the first time. He is an attentive host, including a huge fruit basket, spirits and the essentials for a sweet breakfast. The house is well maintained and the air conditioning units in the house proved to be quick and effective heaters on chilly nights. We highly recommend Zacharias Accommodation. See you again...
