Vacation rentals in Chania

Villa Arietta is a dream house. Located in the beautiful hills just outside Kissamos, 10 mins by car from the sea. The house is marvelous and has all the comforts you need to enjoy a perfect holiday. We were two couples with one toddler and a baby and both indoor and outdoor spaces were perfect for our needs. Also, thoughtful little touches like a welcome hamper with local products, and numerous amazing toys for the kids to use in the garden. Arietta and her husband have been extremely helpful and accommodating throughout, and communication has always been quick and proactive. We loved our stay and we really hope to come back again. Definitely recommended, one of the best places we’ve been to!

There was a fire right next to the property just hours before we arrived. It was really unlucky for everyone. However, despite this unfortunate event, Effie, Michail and the team were amazing. They dealt with the situation as best and as quickly as they could and the property was all back to normal in a couple of days. Despite the set back, we had an amazing holiday. The property was spacious for our family of 4 and was as described by the listing and photos. Effie kept the property and pool super clean. Great location, albeit, there’s a pretty steep hill to get to the property so our hire car came in super handy. Plenty of restaurants and entertainment in Stalos, Platanias and Agia Marina. Close to a lidl (5 mins drive). Bus stop just at the bottom of the hill which took you into to Chania for couple of euros each. I would definitely recommend the property.

Had a great family stay. Visited lots of lovely villages and beaches on some amazing roads. Views are spectacular over the mountains. Village is lovely though we mainly just used the very well stocked supermarket just up the hill. A lovely holiday!

This house was unbelievable! The location was gorgeous and perfect. It felt private but also accessible and we LOVED the little town. The amenities and entire home were a dream and made our vacation perfect. The only thing better was STAVROS the host! He was AMAZING! Left us treats, helped us multiple times with recommendations, and even brought us freshly pressed oil! We definitely hope to be back!

Manolis' house is superb, everything matches the photos perfectly. It's a peaceful place where you want to stay for a long time. Manolis is also a very responsive and very well organized host. I highly recommend it!!

We had a great stay here! We visited before the summer season had begun and there were not many places open but the host was helpful in finding some places that were open to eat!

Alex was an amazing host right from booking. He’s super friendly & reply’s quickly to any questions. We had the warmest welcome on check in & the property is beautiful, with gorgeous & peaceful surroundings. You have all the utensils & cutlery you need for cooking, Alex was always on hand if we needed any help with anything. I will 100% be going back & it’s not something I often do so that says a lot about Alex & his property. Highly highly recommend this place.

We stayed at the end of October and could not have been happier with this villa. it was spotless, spacious and comfortable for 4 adults and 4 children. The access to the water park for free was excellent for the kids and the last day of opening for the season was on the day we left. The facilities were excellent and the lovely pool and outdoor barbecue area were all great to use. Lots of local supermarkets and restaurants within a km and good access to the beach. It's a first floor property which might be an issue with the steps but we liked having views from every room to the sea and beach. We couldn't really ask for anything else in our stay and if we come back to Crete we would look to stay here again. It's a short drive from Chania. The hosts were really friendly and helpful, offering help with hire cars and local amenities, but they left us to it. We had a great holiday in Crete and a lot of this was down to this superb accommodation we were lucky to find available for our stay

We have just stayed at Villa Angelos and cannot rate the villa, location and host highly enough! The villa is extremely spacious and very clean on the inside and outside. The pool was large and very well maintained, and this villa offers a lot of privacy from neighbours. The location was great, near the sea and walkable to local restaurants / shops. We did hire a car and I'm glad we did as we were able to explore some beautiful places further afield. The host for our villa lives in the nearby town and was extremely friendly and helpful before and during our stay. I had not used AirBnB for a foreign stay before and was a little apprehensive but Marcus and John helped me feel right at ease. From the moment I booked there was impeccable communication. John ensured we were comfortable during the stay and even was kind enough to supply groceries for when we arrived. We were given loads of great recommendations for locally and further afield. We will 100% be back!!

We had a wonderful stay here. The house is beautiful - very stylish and you can watch the amazing sunsets from the living room and terrace. The kids loved the pool (even though the weather wasn't warm enough for me yet!) It's a great location to visit the beautiful beaches like Balos and Elafonissi. The hosts were very responsive and gave us a dinner recommendation for my husband's birthday which was delicious. They also provided extra linen when we needed it. Would recommend!

We stayed here with our young daughter and had a wonderful time. The villa is gorgeous and the host was very accommodating. We didn’t want to leave!

nice house on quite location many places to sit and relax outside nice almost privat swimming pool very close to the house matthew was quick in response when we had a problem with the oven and we found a solution with mike a local guy we found a perfect beach at 20 min by car near beach club sunkiss very quite and big sandy beach with lots of free parking and nice relax beachclub 6 min walk from boats jetski banana etc

An amazing week for our family (2 adults, 2 children 6 and 4)! Super view, well equipped house, friendly host! Just perfect.

We had a very nice stay at Sifis's, the view from the villa is beautiful and the accommodation was in line with our expectations. The plus of this villa is its host Sifis, this one is good advice, always attentive and generosity rarely seen during our stays. Thanks again for the famous Cretan BBQ. Finally, the villa is ideally placed for visits to the fabulous beaches nearby.

This home was amazing. The pictures are accurate. It’s about 20 minutes (or so) to some great beaches and a 2 minute walk to a great taverna. For me, the best asset was that almost every available outside wall was either a huge window or a sliding door, that let in the light, breeze and sound of the ocean. My one suggestion would be that if you’re planning on cooking or using the kitchen, bring your food along. From a shopping perspective, the nearest mini market is not that close. This is a beautiful spot worth enjoying.

We had an amazing and relaxing experience at Casa di Verde! The villa is beautifully situated in peaceful surroundings, making it the perfect getaway. It was clean, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, allowing us to unwind and enjoy our time there. The amenities were great, and we truly appreciated the tranquil atmosphere. However, we wanted to mention a couple of areas for improvement. While we were informed that the pool would be cleaned, it wasn’t quite up to our expectations during our stay. Additionally, the bathroom door in one of the bedrooms was a bit noisy, and the stairs felt a little shaky, so some attention there would enhance safety and comfort for future guests. Overall, these minor issues didn’t overshadow our wonderful experience, and we would definitely consider returning for another visit. Thank you for a lovely stay!

What a wonderful house ❤️ we felt at home. Beautiful quiet place with large terrace for dining at sunrise and sunset. In the middle of nature. Super comfortable beds and everything you need in the house. It has become our favorite place in Crete. Thanks very much Ioanna.

What a wonderful stay! Fantastic location right next to the Chania Venetian Harbour, steps away from everything the city has to offer. The place was well appointed with all the necessary amenities. The beds and pillows were especially comfortable. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit!

Our family stay was even more enjoyable than expected. We quickly felt right at home. The house (Polymnia) is exactly as described and illustrated by the photos. The view and environment are amazing, while the pool delighted the children. The house is perfectly maintained and clean. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioning in the rooms is very efficient. The overall equipment is complete. The kitchen has all the necessary equipment for cooking, with basic condiments as well. Chrysi is an extremely available host, pleasant to contact. Very responsive, she always responded to our requests, no matter how small. She loves her region and does not hesitate to share her knowledge through valuable advice. We would recommend this simply magical place without thinking twice.

INCREDIBLE! Highly recommend staying here for your next visit in Crete. The home is immaculate. I love that every room has its own bathroom and shower. The view is so beautiful, every morning I would gasp. The owner is so kind, responsive and helpful. Loved eating at the restaurants below. Walking to town was beautiful and only about 20-30 minutes. We were very content with Mina’s House ! Everything matched the description & the hosts were friendly and available for us.

Giannis's place was right in the heart of old Hania making walking to great restaurants and all the sites super easy. Parking was a bit of an issue but Giannis had great recommendations that made it hassle-free and he was always super responsive. The apartment has everything you need , was super relaxing and spotless. The only thing with the central location is it was pretty loud on Friday night but we put on the AC full and we were able to drowned out the street noise. Highly recommend!

We spent a month with our 1-year-old daughter at Dimitri's house. The house is walking distance from the sea and a great little bay. The bay is perfect for children. The mini-market and restaurants are also within walking distance. The house was clean and tidy. We lacked nothing. In the evening in bed you could always hear the sea rushing. The garden, like the house, was in impeccable condition. Our daughter particularly enjoyed spending time on the swing here. Dimitris was always easily accessible and immediately on site if there was an issue. We enjoyed our time at Dimitris' and would love to come back.
