A casa do Faial is an exceptional place. A very nice house full of character, indoors and outdoors with a lovely garden and a lovely pool. A real jewel and the responsiveness and kindness of the owner comes to make up for the slightest setback. Excellent value for money.

Great stay! We were greeted with kindness and professionalism from Christine. She was always nearby, discreetly checking in to make sure everything was going well. The house is fantastic, very bright with a very nice terrace to bask by the pool. The setting is beautiful with nothing overlooked, stunning mountain views, birdsong... pure happiness. Time seemed to stand still and the weather was great! The accommodation is next to Braga and many very good restaurants in the area. Perfect stay to relax and recharge.

Monica's place is a fantastic and quiet place, really well located to visit Gerês and Braga's region. Mónica is an outstanding host and always helpful. We definitely recommend it and we will hopefully return.

Wonderful Country House for Holiday in Gerês. Close to several areas of the Natural and Minho Park, cozy and in the middle of nature. Silent mountainside street overlooking the mountains, complete with everything a person may need for cooking (minus one oven, but okay). We were a couple with two small dogs that loved the fenced backyard. The week we spent there we saw from the window cows grazing and a shepherd with sheep. Even a fantastic experience to relax the city. The host was very attentive and sent many tips and the point of maps to the house, checked in smoothly, the car was parked on the front terrain without any problems.

We had a fantastic stay in Caldelas and thoroughly enjoyed the villa as our base to explore northern Portugal. It is a beautiful house in a stunning, countryside location and the views from every room in the house never got tiring! There is plenty of space in the villa for 6 people and the garden and barbecue areas are also spacious and kept very clean. The host was in regular contact and was very responsive to the odd query we had. On a day to day basis, Miss Paula was often around on the estate and offered advice and help whenever we asked for it. ‘Peolo’, the farm dog became one of our party and we all miss seeing him around every day! He was such a friendly and well behaved dog; we had no issues at all with him spending time with us when we were at the villa! Would absolutely recommend this villa for anyone looking for a peaceful location with fantastic views of the Portuguese countryside. We certainly plan on returning at some point!

5 stars to António and his beautiful home at Casa dos Fernandos! The house is stunning; it’s a restored historic stone home that retains all charm and character but with modern amenities. The inside is very clean and has everything we could want for a long stay. I also must commend the gardens - there is so much fruit and chestnuts to be harvested and António took the time to explain it all to us and also invited us to use what we would like. António is as gracious host who greeted us personally to show us around - he even had some wine and other essentials ready for us. And, because it was a colder day, he had already started a fire in the beautiful fireplace. The house has plenty of room. We are just one couple and have lots of room to spread out but I can see how even multiple families could share this space and be very comfortable. The location is top! It’s across from a lovely church, and a short drive to many shops and restaurants in town. Highly recommended !

The house is simply amazing, it is much more beautiful and spacious than the photos show, the first thing you notice as soon as you enter the house is how fragrant the place is, you can see in every corner the care and dedication that the host has with the place, we spent a very relaxing, quiet and very comfortable weekend, it was cold outside and inside the house it was so warm that when you entered you had to remove your glasses. The place is pet friendly and certainly who enjoyed the stay the most were my dogs, who had a great time running around the yard, we had a barbecue and the barbecue area has a wonderful view of the river and the mountains, there was no shortage of utensils or pots and the dishwasher helped a lot to keep everything in order. The hostess is very attentive and the basket of regional products is delicious and left breakfast with a taste of the region. We will definitely be back in the summer, congratulations to the listing and to the host who deserves 6 stars!

We spent a week at Gonçalo's house. It was very peaceful and private. A small grocery store just a 1 minute walk. Portugal is our home now so we heard a few dogs barking and church bells fairly close but that is a part of living here so we embrassed it. Unfortunately, the weather didn't co-operate and it was too cool to use the pool except for two days but pool was clean and nice. The house is fully equiped for staying there. I would definitely stay here again.

We were 8 bachelor party friends and the truth the attention unbeatable! we had to go out at 11h in the morning and talking to Elizabete we were able to go out at 13h without any problem! the house inside great, very spacious and heated in all the rooms... and by the outside spectacular!!! the pool, the garden, the vineyards... everything perfect! we will repeat without hesitation!!

Quinta da Maínha is a loving and quiet nook on the outskirts of Braga just minutes from the famous monastery of Tibães. The House as well as the garden, the pool and the other outdoor spaces are very well cared for, without excesses or extravagances, giving an authentic character to the property. This allows those who are being hosted to feel at home

We spent 10 days at this wonderful typical Portuguese villa. The outside is exceptional: very large pool, sunbeds, large table, relaxation area, abundant fruit trees (what a pleasure to pick your oranges yourself every morning to make a good squeezed juice), large expanse of grass, hammock, and what a view from the terrace! We totally fell in love! The interior is spacious and warm. We were 4 adults and 2 kids and we had enough space for each. There are all the necessary amenities (kitchen, bathroom, garden, pool, laundry, TV, AIR CONDITIONING). Daniela leaves us with towels for the shower and others for the pool, soaps. This is really a great place to have a lovely holiday in Portugal. 20 minutes from Braga, Barcelos, less than an hour from Porto or the beach, the location is perfect. There is a supermarket 5mn away by car, cafes and restaurants too. Book soon!

Wonderful stay at the Quinta do Paco. The place is very quiet and the setting is beautiful. The house is very well equipped, the garden is wonderful with different environments and inside you can appreciate the beauty of the antique furniture and the history of the family. Pedro was very helpful and was always attentive to us. We enjoyed it very much, including our two little dogs. Highly recommended to get away and relax.

We absolutely loved staying here for 6 weeks. It was so peaceful, beautiful, and comfortable. Only 15 mins from Braga, and 7 mins to a large supermarket. I highly recommend a stay here.

We had a wonderful time at the villa. However the shops were not accessible to all our party as the roads were very steep, thankfully we had younger members who were able to get stuff locally. Táxis and Bolts were easily booked for travelling into Braga and the bus service was also very good

Nice house, with a lot of quiet and an amazing outdoor area. For adults, children and dogs. We made barbecue, cinema sessions in the pool house, enjoy the sun and go out only for one-time shopping. Great home for vacation and rest.

Very nice place to relax and enjoy nature. The pool is great for summer days and the town is just a 10 minute walk distance. 2 minutes walk to the natural park. The hosts are very friendly. The house could have less decorations. Me and my family really enjoyed this stay!

Very nice stay. The villa is very nice and very well-equipped. Everything is there, everything is clean. We felt at home. The pool and outdoor area is very well maintained. We were very well received. The best part was finding homemade pie, fruit from the garden, and even a bottle of wine. We had pleasant moments with the family. I'd recommend it without a second thought.
