Waterfront vacation rentals in Vila Verde

I loved the cottage; it was quaint, clean and private with lots of friendly cats who welcomed us. The only real issue I had was the bed was very hard. Maybe a mattress topper? Marie is outstanding as a hostess.

This is my second stay here and it will likely be where I'll stay every time I visit. Beautiful apartment, great location, fabulous host, comfortable bed with a great bar/restaurant across from the entry.

We stayed 4 nights in the apartment and it more than covers all expectations. Very quiet place (with restaurants on the same street) and close to Peneda-Gerês National Park Carlos and Alía are always very attentive to answer any questions

Cozy and well located place to experience Gerês. The apartment was very clean. Only thing we missed are a little more kitchen appliances.

The apartment was great and had everything we needed. It was very modern, clean and spacious as well. The location was fantastic, just a couple minutes walk to the river and there were restaurants very close as well. The host was very responsive and was flexible for a much later arrival than we had intended, which we greatly appreciated. I was sad to leave, but I would definitely stay here again!

The apartment was impeccable. The location was quite good. Check-in is quite flexible. Mrs. Luísa is super friendly and attentive, she gave us some information on what to do in the surrounding area. I'm sure if I return to Gerês I will repeat the stay.

This place is a little slice of heaven that you don’t want to miss. Well, situated by all of the waterfalls within about a 30 minute drive. The place is very comfortable with air conditioning and blackout curtains to block the light in the morning so you can sleep in. The private pool is huge and overlooks the lake. Most of all the host is an absolute sweetheart who is so helpful and kind. She shared with us a bottle of homemade white wine she shared with us a bottle of homemade white wine and made her stay incredibly comfortable. Lots of local restaurants, nearby and waters sports if you’re interested. I would certainly recommend staying at this property.

A wonderful house in a lovely and quiet place, in an excellent state of cleanliness and comfort. Gui is impeccable and made the stay memorable. We hope to return soon, thank you!

The view over the river and mountains is really nice. The small house and garden had all we needed, Carlos brought us wood to light the chimney, which was very cosy. Alexandra responded to messages quickly and was very helpful. I can’t leave unsaid though that there is some mold in the bathroom and in the bedroom, this could be typical for many houses because of the high level of humidity in Portugal.

Great for a family, we had a wonderful weekend. Nice to have 3 full bathrooms, never a wait even with many adults getting ready! Beautiful view of the river, bridges, landscape of the area. Super convenient with good restaurants and a supermarket in walking distance. Would love to stay here again on our next vacation to Gerês.

Went to stay at André’s and his family business just a few days ago and already want to go back. Incredible views all around , river, mountains and cute stone houses of the 2 century old houses. Andre is a great host and was available at all times and our late check in. Helped us charge our electric car on the premises. Casa das Olas has an amazing cost 25 year old history of how they started their first stone houses and the expansion over the years. They are now building a wine museum since all the houses were built based on two century old wineries. Incredible! Coming back there in spring for a longer stay and explore Gerês national park in depth. We were extremely lucky with the weather and the sun. Go skinny dipping in Ria do Lima after a 5 km hike. Priceless

The unit is placed walking distance from a beautiful beach, the view from the windows is amazing, it is agreat place to stay for long time and travel around Manuela keeps it very clean and well equiped

I booked the stay for my brother and my sister-in-law who were from Honeymoon. They loved the stay, it was exactly as described by the host and still left a treat in the room for the newly married :)) it was a great experience!!

We loved our short stay at Cesar’s mill house. The house was just as described, very cosy and quiet. We loved being surrounded by the small waterfall and stream. Felt like a fairy tale house.
