Great quiet place to stay on Sao Miguel! The place is very spacious, and there is lots of room to hang out or sit outside and enjoy the weather and the sounds of the ocean. You are within a 1 minute walk of ocean views. The only difficult we had was getting our 9-passenger van into the small parking area, but we ended up just parking on the street just down from the house with no issues. I would highly recommend as a quiet place to stay!

I like this place and have stayed here twice, once in the summer and once last week. The location is great, breakfast is good and enough to get me past lunch and the parking makes coming back at night a breeze. Easy to walk to tons of places for dinner The only real negatives for me can be the lean of the boat and the bed. I'm guessing here, but it seems like that as the waste water tank gets more full it worsens the lean, which can be annoying at times with sliding doors The bed can also be a bit of a pain to expand and close up given the size of the room and lightness of the bed, but not a huge deal. Minor things, certainly not dealbreakers, but I wonder if the lean could be addressed by emptying the tank when the meter is past full. I dunno. That aside I'd prob stay here again. Location, parking, breakfast and the roof top patio are all good things. The staff are also really nice and always helpful. Overall it's a solid option and would recommend it if the size works for you

Our family of four had a wonderful stay. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We had a car and enjoyed 6 days with Mario’s place as our home base. The island is small and so everything was within an hour or less drive. Although there aren’t big grocery stores or walkable restaurants, we liked that the accommodation is in a small town with very friendly people. We did most of our grocery shopping in Nordeste, which has a modest selection. Note that most things in the town are closed on Sundays. We loved the pool and outdoor kitchen/BBQ.

Wendy was a great host! Our flight landed early and she was accommodating with letting my family and I check in early. She was very responsive with all our needs and even gave us good recommendations. I will definitely be visiting again. If visiting Azores I definitely recommend staying at Wendy’s place.

mariana’s apartment is super comfortable and clean, great view and just some minutes away from a great beach, we had an amazing time there.

The place was perfect for a group of 4 people, the kitchen and dining area allowed the organization of breakfast and light meals. The apartment is situated close to the marina, there is a sandy beach very close. In the area there are many trips to the ocean, scuba diving, canoe, etc. About 20-30 minutes from the airport by car. The place has a parking place. Very quiet area, good restaurants in the area. Recom!

Maria, was a fantastic host - I think the best we may have ever had! She allowed us to check in early after flying overnight from Toronto and she also let us check out late. She was very friendly, responsive and accommodating. Maria's place was colorful, welcoming, cozy and centrally located on the island. She provided us with fresh breads, cheese, wine, jams, coffee, tea and a delicious pineapple! We had a wonderful time and we hope to come back and visit beautiful São Miguel again. ❤️☀️🌴🍍🐄

The kids loved the pool, was quiet place, and lots of space. the beds were comfortable, the location was good. the view from the kitchen was fantastic.we loved that we had three showers and toilets.

The place was beautiful. Actually everything was as described and better . The host was helpful and easy to communicate. We love the place . Just a little expensive . The view was beautiful but to let other customers know the garden and the pool are sharing with other Villa .

We really enjoyed our stay at Miguel’s place. The location is about 5 mins drive from the local village - so easy access to supermarkets and restaurants - but in such a unique spot. The view from the villa is simply stunning, looking right out over the Atlantic Ocean. The villa itself is perfectly sized for a family of 4 and has everything you need - it is extremely well appointed. There was nothing missing in terms of utilities and furnishings - they have thought of everything. There is a very nice pool right outside the front of the house looking out over the sea. Then there’s a stunning natural pool at the bottom of the path where we had some wonderful sunset dips in the sea. Miguel’s communication was great - all very clear and helpful. Highly recommended!

What a nice, beautiful typical country house, full of charm, very well furnished and very well equipped. Everything was absolutely perfect. The garden is splendid, with its blue door at the back that gives direct access to the sea! What a breathtaking view! Simply Paradise! A big thank you to Joana and José for your kindness and beautiful welcome in your little "Azorian cocoon"! Very friendly neighbors! The natural pools are very near by walk! Highly recommend!

We are so sad to leave this beautiful place! The house’s description is very accurate to the T: perfect location- you will be able to explore the island easily, 4 equally sized bedrooms with a pullout as an extra, kitchen with all the utensils, pots, glasses, ect. Our favorite part was the rooftop deck with sunrises and sunrises! The host graciously made the reservations for local restaurants and recommended some extra activities that we didn’t include in our original plans. The communication was easy - usually reply came in 30 min. We would happily recommend this place to our friends and hopefully come back soon. Note: the house has lots of stairs that can create problems for people with limited mobility. It was not an issue for us but it might be an issue for some.

We had a really lovely, relaxing stay at Casa Estrella in Mosteiros. The house and garden are very spacious, the view is so beautiful and relaxing. It's a perfect family holiday. The host, Samuel from the Azorean Butler was very attentive. He is always easily reachable and very responsive. Thank you for the welcome goodies and cake. We'd love to come back again.

The personality of the hosts clearly shows up, it is furnished according to the Azores, high-quality and beautiful. The host even surprised us with some treats from the island so we could start the day with a great breakfast the next morning. We felt completely comfortable. It was incredibly clean and the amenities exceeded our expectations. The location is optimal, located directly on the sea and all sights are quickly accessible by car. Parking is right outside the door. Unfortunately it is very noisy in the bedrooms as these are facing the main road. As of the end of October: bakery in front of the door is no longer open.

We loved staying at Antonio's place. The quaint grape vine covered area was awesome. The kitchen was very well equipped. Perfect accomodations. Going to sleep and waking up every morning to the sound of the ocean was AMAZING. We were disappointed that a couple of the towns best restaurants were closed for the season however there were places to eat and to buy groceries. It was great to have the fresh bread and produce vans come by in the mornings. We really enjoyed our time in Ribeira Quente. Thanks Antonio, can't wait to visit again!

We felt very comfortable at the place. The entire place is very spacious, tastefully decorated. We cooked extensively over the New Year and the kitchen is perfectly equipped for this. The location is wonderful for excursions all over the island. Places such as Furnas, Sete Cidades or Nordeste are easily accessible by car. Filomena & Miguel are great hosts and welcomed us very warmly. Both were available and helpful with questions. Thank you for the great hospitality, we will definitely be back:)

This place is amazing! The location is in the heart of town and right across the way from the beach. Everything is within walking distance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and all the amenities of this home. Sofia was a wonderful host!
