Vacation rentals with a kayak in Vermont

Thank you, Palmer for an enjoyable stay at your beautiful lake house. We came up for a college tour of UVM and the location was perfect. It took us only 20 minutes to get there and then at the end of our day we came back to relax and unwind at your comfy and spotless home. Every room was beautifully furnished , comfortable and really just felt homey. The kids enjoyed hanging out downstairs watching movies while the adults enjoyed cocktails and talking all while taking in the amazing view of the lake. We had a wonderful time and would certainly return. Only two minor issues, one of which just might have been our own unfamiliarity with the home. The living room gets really warm and even though we turned down the thermostat, it kept creeping up. But it could have even been the fact that it was so sunny one of the days we were there. A minor issue. Outside, the railing to get down from the deck to the yard is a bit wobbly in places and may be due to be replaced soon. Also, no big deal.

Great cabin on the lake. We were there when it was frigid out but the heaters kept us nice and cozy and the lake views were gorgeous. We didn’t have a lot of luck ice fishing but we had fun trying. We went to the college, to local restaurants, skiing at snow bowl, and snow shoeing near the house to Silver Lake. Thanks for a great trip!

We were so pleased with our stay here. It had it all! We were able to relax and completely unwind. The home is exactly as described and so much more. Our host was absolutely amazing. Everything was communicated and Rod and Lulu went above and beyond to make our stay special. This will be our first choice in Vermont to stay again.

We stayed at Kevin's place for my son's graduation from Middlebury College. We were there for three nights. While it is only a two bedroom home, their configuration of beds made it easy for us to sleep many more people (as long as they don't mind not having walls). The view is stunning. They also have tons of "toys." We hadn't chosen the house for this reason, but the young people loved the garage converted into "fun room" with billiards, foos ball, and bar. The kitchen was modern, clean and well equipped. While it was really cold when we arrived, and I was concerned about being warm enough, their mini-splits did the job along with a space heater they keep in the house. Two of my guests noted the AIrBnB listing and said they would like to return with their extended families. Kevin was kind and allowed us an early check in, which was convenient. The house had everything we needed, and everything we wanted. It really fit the bill for our group.

We had a lovely stay at Molly's house on the lake. The area is rural and beautiful; we spent days kayaking, cycling to nearby islands, and just sitting on the back patio enjoying the lake. Molly was responsive and friendly.

We enjoyed our stay - we were in town for a family wedding nearby and the space allowed our extended family to gather easily. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t great so we weren’t able to take advantage of the outdoor space but did make use of the pool and foosball tables in the basement. The view of Lake Champlain right outside the windows was great - beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was well stocked and we were able to grill one night - the local Hannaford grocery store was less than 10 minutes away. As described in the listing, there are only 2 full bathrooms. It was a little tight having 8 people trying to shower and get ready for the wedding at the same time. Overall, a nice place in a pretty location.

5 STARS! Very cozy property filled with wonderful amenities. Large spacious bedrooms and great outdoor space and seating area. Beautiful views of Lake Champlain from many spaces in the house. We had a such a wonderful stay, so much so we booked it again for another few days! Tamara was an excellent host. Would love to visit again :)

What an amazing experience! Our kids loved every second of it. Our hosts were amazing, responsive, and inviting. The home was beautiful and the scenery was spectacular. I highly recommend staying here. It was a great life experience! Thank you!

Mary Beth's place is a dream! It is super cute, comfortable, and clean, but the most amazing part is how close it is to the water. There are gorgeous views of the lake from the comfy daybed, the kitchen, and the deck. The beds are comfy, too. I look forward to returning soon.

Our stay was amazing! We were moving our daughter into her dorm at UVM and were in Burlington for a week. We decided to stay here rather than a hotel near campus. It was the best decision ever. Jack and Robin’s cottage was the perfect place to prepare for dorm move-in. We were able to get out and explore the area. The sunrises over Lake Champlain were beautiful while we drank our morning coffee. Walks on the causeway were great for watching sunsets. 10/10 will stay here again when we visit our daughter at UVM. Go Catamounts!

Even better than described! We had such a nice stay in the cottage. It’s absolutely adorable and has everything you could need for a night, a week or a month. Very clean and perfectly situated for privacy but close to attractions. Will definitely book again

We spent a weekend and had our two kids and one dog with us. It was a little cabin set near multiple other cabins, and was perfectly functional for our needs. We used it as a home base to go hiking, biking, and fishing. If you’re into biking, Slate Valley trails are incredible and the local gravel roads are too. It was our 2nd time at Lake St Catherine, and we love the area. The hosts were kind and welcoming, and we’d definitely come again!

We stayed for my daughter’s Midd graduation. It’s less than a 20 minute drive to Middlebury. Ardie and Mike are such lovely, hard working, kind and receptive human beings. I loved meeting them. They were so welcoming and accommodating, down to earth people. I would stay here again in a heartbeat - in any one of the cabins.

Jim was very communicative. The location was peaceful. The deck is amazing and we spent most of our time there while at the camp. Lovely cabin!

This cottage was the perfect place to have our mini moon for the weekend. Not only was the location absolutely stunning, the hosts went out of their way to make us feel special on our celebratory trip. The cottage was pristine, private, and close to a quaint downtown but also not too far from Burlington. Highly recommend!

This was a wonderful vacation cabin. The cabin feels light and airy, with a large great room/kitchen combination. The bedroom is in the loft, and it has a comfortable king size bed. I have mobility problems, so I stayed on the futon in the living room rather than trying to negotiate steps at night. The futon was okay — not particularly comfortable, but serviceable. Laurel and Dan were wonderful! They stopped by the cabin twice to make sure everything was okay, and they gave us excellent advice about local hiking areas, restaurants, etc. If you are looking for a reasonably-priced cabin in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, we highly recommend this little gem!

The house is very cute and the beach access is amazing. The hose is nice, gave clear instructions. This is located close to Burlington and offers plenty of things to do when away :)

The cabin was just what we needed. It was close to skiing and loved the bunk beds for my two kids. The bathroom was a little small but worked great for the few days we were there. It was clean and had everything we needed. We would love to check this place out when we can use the lake. :)

Such a quaint beautiful home! We absolutely loved the decor, the layout, hot tub, there was little special touches everywhere. It was easy to find and close enough to everything. Highly recommend to other guests and would love to come back and stay longer next time!

Beautiful house, perfect for our family retreat. After another host cancelled on us last minute, we found Brian's place and were very happy we did! Brian was very responsive to our needs, and was very helpful throughout the weekend. the kids loved the game room, we set a new record on the Pacman machine. We made s'mores on the front porch in rainy weather, and visited some of the local breweries nearby. We were very pleased with the home, and it was perfect for our long weekend.

Darren is a great host, and this is a great place! He had plenty of great recommendations in the area, so we always had something to do. The lake itself is super pretty and very tranquil. Would highly recommend!

Wonderful cabin, my friend and I had such a relaxing time here. Sharon added a lot of thoughtful touches and both the interiors and the view were even more stunning than the pictures - despite the rainy weather!

Tom was very responsive, he graciously offered us late check out upon request, lovely spot to bring the dogs and have them romp around the yard. Cozy.
