Monthly Rentals in Tokomaru Bay

The place is just lovely - spacious and cozy and right next to the beach. Barry and Pam were so friendly and we felt at home right away. We'd love to come again and stay longer the next time!

Vaughn's place was exceptionally clean, neat and tidy. It is on their property behind their house but very private. All amenities needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately the weather was miserable but Vaughn provided us with umbrellas for our use. Tolaga is very quiet with minimal services and most of the shops would not take Australian debit cards but we managed.

Would recommend Nicki’s place to everyone and in particular rural people. Very friendly and hospitable- to the point it was like home away from home. Our visit proved, once again, that we, in NZ, live in a small village.

Bill and Jan are hospitable hosts who made us feel welcome and left lovely home baking and fresh flowers for our arrival and plenty of food for breakfast. A very interesting place to stay. Quite unique. However, it is an historic building so the furniture and decor is old fashioned and cluttered. Feels a bit like a museum or your great granny’s house, which maybe what you’re after. Decent showers but the bathrooms are straight out of the 50s, as is the kitchen and food prep area. Having said that, there is a good fridge/freezer. There is some early morning traffic noise as the Post Office is on SH 35.
